The Rare Doge Directory is now officially closed. I'll be posting a list of cards which have violated the rules (not distributed, burned supply, etc) to the site in the next few days, notify the artists via email, and give them a month or so to rectify the issues.... after that, will be handling the remaining cards that have broken the rules appropriately. Also, Will be opening up a design contest in the coming weeks to allow users to submit artwork for S1C1... any artists who participated in the rare doge directory by submitting artwork will be able to submit potential designs to become the artwork on S1C1... will do a month of submissions, then will pick a winner... the winning artwork will get applied to the S1C1 card, and the S1C1 card will be announced, and the winning artist will get 25% of the supply of S1C1 as their prize... All other artists who submitted card artwork will get a S1C1 subasset issued and token ownership transferred to their address for them to create supply and manage howerver they want 🙂

I like doing new stuff... I didn't want to reveal the S1C1 in the beginning of the project because I wanted it to be a mystery... also dont believe in S1C1 with low supply being the highest value asset... historic, yes for sure... but I wanted to do something different... a design contest by all artists who participated in the project seemed the most fair way to do it.... look at COUCHDOGE for instance, great card, first one publicly known/available.. has a high value and is highly desirable.... wanted to kinda throw that notion on its head n do something different 🙂

This model also transitions rare doge into the next project I have planned which will be open forever, and enable rare doge artists to have much more control over deriviative works... got some good stuff cooking... modenrelics.io and ruderelics.io were also just experiment projects to play with the idea of derivative artwork and subassets... taking what was learned and applying it in phase 2 🙂

Rare Doge is for named assets only.. phase 2 project is for subassets and will be named something different.... but each subasset will be tied to the original rare doge asset... and each subasset will get a green banner of officialness for the phase 2 project 🙂

Thanks to all. :) DP Directory is quite memorable to me, my wife was in labor in the Hospital for my second baby when it launched, during that time I didn't have a regular job, got laid off from work during the pandemic. Crypto and Doge got my family afloat during that time and throughout the pandemic, Almost all my sales in the DP Directory back then helped in the hospital bills which as you know during covid was insanely huge. :) This DP Directory will always be a good memory for me. One that is not just profit oriented but also community friendly and accessible in terms of fees. And rarereject was a truly revolutionary concept, to simply not discard rejected artwork by creating a sub market which by the way also sold almost at par with raredoge cards and produce some great cards as well. Eh I kinda feel that would be unfair… I’m here to build for you guys n let you be the stars, keeping s1c1 for myself would be not cool in my book. While I have not created or submitted a rare doge myself, the rare doge directory artwork that has been created that features my horse head image or references me has brought me great joy n made me feel honored to be included.
Plus I suck at drawing… I think the last atrtwork I actually made was a few stamps almost 2 years ago.

Sharing another idea, can let the C1 be a collaborative art made by all the artists, supply of 3000, approx half of the supply auto distributed to artists in proportion of the number of cards they have in the directory. The remaining supply (approx 1500 cards) may please be kept by the project owner to do as he pleases
