The journey has taken a lifetime, the road travelled often difficult, the destination always ended taking me to somewhere exciting or exceptional, sometimes fraught with danger, often these experiences shaped me into the person I am today. Coit was born as a pseudonym a stage name if you will many years ago, when I first started out as a DJ, musician and Producer. Several months before I started my journey as an artist, I was introduced into the art world. More specifically the Bitcoin digital art of NFT’s and PEPE, or meme art. Until that introduction I was simply known as Coit, a musician with a unique story. Born within a large Dutch family with 9 other siblings, life growing up was often difficult and challenging, also having to cope with ADHD, and problems concentrating in school, I often had trouble focusing on anything…

I am an ignoramus, and a charlatan, and an agent provocateur. This is my abominable Pot Of Digital Sunflowers. _________________________________ This work was created by me cutting thousands of AI images by hand in MS Paint, stitching them together, collaging them, and making one long continuous video that corresponds to the words of the song. The production was created by DJ Booman, using AI for sound generation, and a bit of Rad Audio's tech that converts the BTC blockchain into tones. Those tones were then sampled and laced into the beat. So it is BTC-infused music, AI sounds, AI art, and a basket of easter eggs. Oh and raps... i made raps on it. And they are gud. There is a story behind the work that I've never told in full. TLDR at the end If you don't feel like reading a bunch of feelings and shit. A few months back I was at what felt like the end of my digital art career. Its not that anything i do is particularly difficult. For a fat guy to be in his jam jams making pictures for my raps it is kind of a dream gig. But living off art alone when you have a kid on the way (few months to go) can put a real Game 7 spin on yer day to day. My frustration wasn't the work... it was the environment. Scammer and Grifter seemed like the only jobs that were consistent. Rather than dirty up my one clean white shirt, I thought it better to just leave and still do this as a hobby. Like little digital ships in a bottle. Or... I can look at all the frens I made like exit liquidity and make this like everything else I've ever done. No one's fault but my own... I overcorrected. I was reminded of The Red Vineyard. It hung on my walls for years. The only painting Van Gogh sold in his life. He didn't die "celebrated master painter, adored by millions, and they write books about me". He died Vinny the broke dreamer living off his brother Theodore. Staring at it has always reminded me, that you can do everything right... but still, never live to sit in the shade under the trees you planted. So I created The Red Vineyard. Named after the ONLY painting he sold in his lifetime. It's out there... you can see it. This companion piece is called Les XX. Named after the gallery he sold it in. He shot himself a couple of months after that gallery. Because sometimes a tablespoon of success is worse than none at all. As an AI artist... they call us charlatans... and say what we make isn't art. Here is some art history for you. However, two days before the opening of the exhibition of Les XX, Henry de Groux announced that his artworks would not be seen side by side with the: “abominable Pot of Sunflowers by Monsieur Vincent or any other agent provocateur.” At the opening dinner, De Groux once again attacked Van Gogh’s paintings and called him: “an ignoramus and a charlatan. At the other end of the table, Lautrec suddenly bounced up, with his arms in the air, and shouted that it was an outrage to criticize so great an artist. De Groux retorted. Tumult. Seconds were appointed. Signac announced coldly that if Lautrec were killed, he would assume the quarrel himself.” I just learned you something lol. Also shouts out to my frens. Cant speak for everybody by Natalie would def enter a European duel for me. She's the best. So from my Blood Red Vineyard... I give you Les XX. ===================== TLDR: I was at the end of what felt like my digital artist career. I drew inspiration from the life of Vincent Van Gogh.
