thanks, but I suspect something else, this might be usefull to others :
I had funds in 3 addresses (switching between them with "Change Address")
I was trying to send funds from 2 of them to the "main" (first used) one, the one that holds all my assets
I noticed, that if I try to "Show private key", it only works on the main (first) address, the others return "false"
So I suspect freewallet messed something up and I cannot move funds out of any address except the first one.

To play and learn I tried to restore the freewallet seedphrase into sparrow, none of the 4 derivation path worked (they all led to different addresses than freewallet ones)

Hmm, the words and checksum are compatible, they just lead to other addresses (maybe just the word order is changed, but I doubt it)
I tried averything I can think of here https://iancoleman.io/bip39/ to get to the same address tree, no game (DON'T USE THAT PAGE ONLINE, save it and use it on an offline computer)
The wallets themselves don't hold anything, they're just files on disk for convenience. The addresses hold btc and/or "tokens" (that are linked to assets). We just need a special counterparty wallet to "see" the tokens, but the BTC should be visible in any wallet.
I'm looking into the source code of freewallet to see find what I'm doing wrong, it's bugging the hell out of me (but it's academic, I wouldn't actually do anything with the restored wallet in another software or risk loosing my tokens) -
Copy paste from Duncan where he helped me with a very similar question… counterparty words were developed before bip39 and have not been updated. the word lists are different and the way it encodes is different. even if you use the same 12 words, the public key will be different

Some of the counterparty words are different. I tried to use freewallet generated seedwords with a hardware btc wallet and failed before finishing entering the seedwords because one of my freewallet seed words has 3/4 letters correct (matching BIP list) and the wallet verifies each word as entered, but apparently even if there were a similar word or 4/4 characters matched, a btc client would calculate a different wallet or fail checksum.

the thing is, my situation might be a bit different, as in; i have Chinese parents in law

they have been brainwashed all their lifes

i can accept their ignorance because i know the origins of the problem and that its near impossible to solve

but im now seeing the EXACT same thing happening to my parents

and they have no awareness of what's happening

i've lived in China for 6+ years, what's happening now in the west is a carbon copy of their system

so maybe i have a sense of urgency to warn people i love before it's too late

I have learned to BE/live the change I want them to see…. Grace is the word we are talking about and a very difficult lesson…. But the more grace and love that is shown the more those that are lost are drawn to you….. how can you give grace in a time like this

Some of the people with the best intentions are the easiest to brainwash. I’m sure almost everyone here has parents that are programmed to believe the government and institutions blindly. You can fight it but you won’t force them into shifting their paradigms. History has a habit of having the shit hit the surface eventually. I think the dump is about to reach the surface for all to see. At this point ignorance is a choice
