There's a truth and its on our side and I'm so happy this morning I'm crying. -
Since we are getting sappy and spiritual... My whole family was in the room with my 30yr old little bro as he succumbed to cancer earlier in the year. It was silent at that moment, in that room, but you could feel, and I would say almost even hear, the heavens open up for his soul.
After a few minutes of silence, instead of feeling sad at losing a son/sibling, a sense of peace and joy filled the room.
Take what you want from my story, but to me it was proof that we are all connected through a spiritual world and good souls go to heaven. (Of course, my words are not capable of describing the experience, but I try to share anyway) -

I gotta bite my tongue when my father in law, who sits in his lazyboy and watches sports talk 24/7, says things like "you gotta get a ball in that boys hands. It's super important at an early age. REALLY important" referring to my 6 yr old boy who loves building towers, making inventions, and wants to be an engineer when he grows up but has no interest in sports.
What I want to say is I'm not raising my kids to play games with balls in hopes of pleasing the god kings enough for a million dollar contract. I'm raising them to follow their natural interest, use critical thinking, and become productive members of society. But I gotta play nice.

Thank God the attitude/presentational strategy I went into that poker night with was sunglasses and a shit eating grin. So it just looked like I was in character while they discussed buying gold at the dollar store.
Being awake kinda reeks. Lol. Especially when most of your friends are more intelligent than you are.... but don't have the God given character to back it up.
You can't interject and tell them you're being an idiot for buying gold at Walmart. If it's at spot price in Walmart, then this is the time you're going to be wanting to sell your own gold which you should have bought when your economy was doing well a while back. It seems my intelligent friends have outed themselves as not being universally intelligent, just niche-oriented intelligence on top of being cowards and it's a sad thing to internalize for me. -
Thats not to say a few haven't come around. They have and I respect them much for it.
