Interesting thought. Elephants are an obvious one that were clearly domesticated in the past. I was in India and stayed in a 400 year old palace that was converted to hotel. They had murals and statues of their war elephants, and you could see their "stalls" in the interior palace yard. I guess they had two famous war elephants and the Mongols captured one and wanted to keep it for their own army, but the elephant refused to eat and starved itself to death -

The answer is more relative than definitive, because the mempool is always ebbing and flowing (“clogged”).
Ultimately, it depends on the fees you set vs fees currently being mined on average. If you are low to that average, patience is key. It will clear at some point. I have never had it happen, but understand it as possible, if fees go too high, and the purge setting to go higher, eventually a pending Tx would be overcome and no longer tracked on the mempool, freeing you up that way, though also potentially time consuming.
So you get good either way. One reason to not try to shave too much on fees, especially for something time critical / consequence critical. -

Recently, I had a Tx with low fees clear after like 3.51 weeks. I thought I had fees set high enough but not quite, and it went up from there for a while. Now that it has come down, boom. Purge was never tripped though it was close.
