When doge was at 5 cents, we had placed ours at 300/350. No one complained then. While they were picking others at 700/750. There was no parity. And I consider my work as good as anyone else's. Mine and a few others contribution especially in the bear is what kept the project running while others were happily sunning it up on ibiza beach .

I'd be fine paying 700-750 if Doge was 5 cents ($35). With Doge at 36 cents, even 150 is more ($54). While trying to buy all the cards, it's hard to justify higher prices. People are free to sell their creations at whatever they want, but even I can't buy em all. Some are listed at 1744, 3290, even 42690. They need to realize if their cards don't get any distribution, that could greatly impact any future potential value ( which right now is basically zero).

From what I remember in Rare Pepe, the "value" was almost never in the initial release of the card. In Fake Rares, they issued too few (to try to make them more "rare") and wanted sometimes quite ridiculous prices right out of the gate. They were trying to make back the cost of the card required to burn, to submit Fakes.

Originally the plan was to pay Joe Looney to build rare doge wallet and then penalized users who didn’t distribute their token by removing the image in the wallet…. However, I paid Joe Looney $5000 and waited three years, and the wallet at work was never done, so I asked for a refund earlier this year and he sent the payment back.

I’m not sure about kicking these cards fully out of the directory , but maybe moving them from an accepted card in the rare dose directory and replacing the image with a image that indicates the card was removed, adding them to the rare reject directory, or just removing them from the list of cards that get the green banner on token scan…. Open to ideas.

It’s been very clear from the beginning that 10% of cards should be distributed within the first 90 days and that penalties would be enforced if the rules were not followed

It’s in all of our interests to not sell our own cards or other artists cards for low prices.

Everyone should be working to create the elusive store of value for their buyers and the project as a whole. If people trust when they buy a Dogeparty/Counterparty card they aren’t going to find it worth considerably less the next day, the project will grow exponentially (bull/bear market aside).

I do this by not offering my cards for sale at lower prices than I’ve previously sold. It means I dont sell many cards and I’m negative 000’s of dollars invested, which I’m ok with.

As they say “I’m here for the tech and the art” and of course the great community.

In the end this will pay back, and if it doesn’t I’ve had lots of fun, so win win.

I have given away more than I've sold, and 99.9% of times that leads to lettuce hands lol, but luckily I have seen price appreciation overtime on vertually all, as you say that does mean less sales, and it's been tough market for all collections anyway, I think this will change, nft market as a whole to be more bullish

I somewhat like the idea but then there's one big collector who is a regular here and aware of all rules (not the creator of that card) who has been quoting quite a premium on that saying it's supply is 50. I don't find it fair.

This could have been done by a lot many here, giving the major supply to a friend or selling a part of the supply to someone else. But we chose to follow the rules

It is not by Pepelangelo and I asked many times how the artist did it.... AI? Painting?.... He/she never gave up the secret.... So I still don't know to this day... Sometimes I see reflections in a camera used to take it as if it was a physical painting.... And sometimes I'm convinced the brush strokes are AI.... Kinda the fun of the art I'd say

The burn happened 3 years ago, only one sale on day of burn, all other sales was after the burn, unfair to buyers if is now removed 3 years later

Not a new discussion. This point has been getting raised time and again in Official group too. Jdog has been always very consistent with the reply that that all this will be taken care of once the directory closes

But punishing buyers for artists flouting isn't a good look

I would assume, as a buyer, if I knew the rules even, that if a card hasn't been removed after a week or 2 after said flout, then it would be safe to buy with a banner and been on website

The ideal punishment would actually have been not to buy a card which has flouted rules. But buyers be buyers 😁 they thought a rogue artist has more charm .

My only comment on Rare Doge Directory, if ever you the scientist decide to remove or downgrade a raredoge accepted card like Bellindoge although rules are rules. But I would just like to know if it's possible to know first the condition of the person who made it. I know a few who already passed away not just in DP community but in other platforms also, It would be good to know first. I think they submit email when you register for a card for submission, maybe someone can checkup on them. I don't know if that is possible to know if the creator of the card is anonymous, it's just my opinion. :)

It's likely nothing will happen, but is important to draw attention to the non-distribution and forced burn items, as most collectors generally have an opinion about that. I would prefer that the creators become aware or reminded, and participate in the project. No card with zero, or less than 10% dist, has been actually removed, but replacing their image in the directory, with a generic image seems like a reasonable solution...
