Good read.
Counterparty drama is the same as watching a bunch of regulars at a dive bar, fighting over their ex-girlfriend; while she’s busy giving away free head in the bathroom. -
Pretty one-sided and easy to cherry pick things that have been said over the years to support a specific narrative.
I haven’t replied because I don’t think it’s worth my time bickering over He said she said crap anymore🤷🏻♂️
I stand behind the decisions I have made in counterpary, and anyone who actually wants to know the truth is able to by reviewing chat logs at j-dog.net/archive and come to their own conclusions. -
That’s what I did 🤷
-
All I know is I can’t be bothered right now to even. Onboard or recommend anything in counterparty world because it’s so fuckky and everyone is infighting
It’s embarrassing lol
Honestly
I hope the all the devs could go eat some mushrooms and go for a walk lol 😂
Everyone feels the unsecure uncertain vibes and that just not good for growth -
I’m sure it will all work out
-
I have no intention of continuing to fuel unnecessary drama in this channel by arguing points, which I’ve already been made over the past three weeks.
My intention , as it was two weeks ago when I announced I would be supporting both versions of the ledger, was to let people know of my plans before taking action.
I have now clearly clarified that unless origin dispenser functionality is added back, I will be adding replay protection to counterparty classic to permanently sever the ledgers.
I have work to do .
I hope everyone has a nice day and gets outside and touches some grass 👍🏻 -

If the community wants improvements, they can request them and we can come to consensus and fund and develop those improvements... first and foremost would be a. Adding taproot support to benefit from cheaper txs.. b. Replacing addrindexrs with a component with a MUCH smaller footprint.... Javier has written an incredible piece of software for XChain Platform xchain-address-indexer which is much faster than addrindexrs, and has a much smaller footprint.... and doesn't require relying on external APIs or components like Counterparty 2.0's plan to replace addrindexers with electrum.

indeed... but it is also an external component which could go down and require maintenance... I prefer installing the full stack to run CP in a simple to use fednode 🙂

Ahh I’m having a laugh. The argument of src-20 was database bloat and shitty performance of 9.6 that needed to be fixed. and now you’re effectively doubling the disk usage by running two nodes and holding onto the poor performance characteristics in 9.6.

That is just your opinion sir... and lets keep this chat focused on dev and not personal attacks n other such nonsense... had enough of that in the past few weeks I think.

If you have questions about BTNS, take it to the BTNS channel, as all questions have been answered there, and this is not the place to discuss BTNS. @BTNS420

Nah here is a great place to ask that question. I’d like to know too. So what’s the deal?
