I had heard rumors of your disappearing

PepeDemichi, have offered me his promotion service to advertise my artwork. He was very annoying and pushed me to work with him. as a payment he requested the card from me. instantly after getting my card he listed it for sale under cutting my price and making his action as a financial loss to me. not mentioning that he haven't done any promotion at all that i would gain any benefit from (or at least i haven't felt). i would say he ripped me off and i would have been more happier not to do any "business" with him. he lied. would not trust anything he touch again.

and the fun part is that i have been banned from FakeRares after i called him out. i told people he can't be trusted and got banned because of "creating unfriendly atmosphere".
on that day i have registered token FAKEBAN.
this token tells me they were half a year behind me.

I removed Pepe De Medici from the group. Last year, a Master Coolio ripped some people off in a SoG discord. I noticed PdM’s Twitter banner was the same as Master Coolio’s pfp.

I asked PdM about it. He admitted that it was his account and address, but his little brother was using his account and wallet. Even if this were true, this still means you cannot trust his account’s actions.

In addition to this, I am now aware of several other people that have been duped by him in some form or fashion. It would be remiss of me to allow him to remain and not make others aware.

i personally didn't fall for his tricks, but he did contact me several times trying to 'sell grails OTC for -discounted- prices'

And the formal complaint is that this scammer makes an agreement to ship a set of paintings to a USA buyer free, then asks for a fee, then when asked if the previous agreement is null, they say yes. Then I doxxed my address to get them sent to me, and even after I doxx myself they refuse to send me my paintings. That is my formal complaint against Pepe De Medici

So he unblocked me and apologized

I think he’s probably got multiple twitter account too for the giveaways to sell them in his shitty auction house

Pepe De’ Medici essentially offered a bribe/incentive to publish his work in an established XCP directory in return for a percentage of profit. I also received a message asking for a valuable asset and his pasted address (very odd):

I assume he was talking about RAREWOJAK, an asset that last sold for 0.075 BTC. At the time 0.0369 BTC. Still confused about this message but the lack of etiquette is clear.

He also shilled something unrelated in the Telegram chat for the directory. I was then publicly slandered by him in the Counterparty group chat months later. Luckily other community members came forward with other stories, affirming my accurate version of events.

Well, the thing is he never wronged me personally. I just caught him scamming.

I’ve never lost cash from him but as I’m here a lot I see he’s active and hes a confidence trickster

I was sold a 1 of 1 physical of pepedelux only to later find out he already made another 2 that were practically identical - the original arrived damaged (weirdly no outer damage to package, but whatever) i found out about the other copies then, I had to pay more postage for a replacement to be sent (he wanted 120 bucks when I already knew it cost only 90) I think no I gave him 100 in the end, I received it but never even bother d to open it as I lost all respect for the piece and the artist. He was supposed to compensate me some dollar back the painting because it was not a 1:1 which he seemed to think $250 covered (I paid about 950 bucks in XCP for the painting, which I only did a gesture of good will as I thought they were trying to do a nice service with the auction) - never got that 250 refund either - he banned/silenced me in his chats when I complained publicly

A growing concern has been brought to me by various community members with hopes of resolution or accountability. Previously an offer was made to pin messages in this room warning the community about specific concerns. This is the first time such a pin has been made for a community member.

An active user in our community has been accused of a variety of things ranging from seemingly mundane to troublesome. Concerns include: repeated unrequested direct solicitation, selling gifts below market value on a regular basis, back peddling on agreements, character assassination, wash trading, general attitude of unaccountability, and an unwillingness to learn how to conform to the community's expectations of ethical behavior.

Instead of relaying second-hand accounts I have compiled statements from people in our community that feel they have been wronged. These accounts are not intended to fuel more drama. Instead these are being presented in a way as to allow the accused to clear up any miscommunication as well as take steps to rectify these issues.

These actions are not only being taken to prevent similar conflict from this user's actions but also stand as an example to discourage other users from taking advantage of our honest and sharing community.

Most rooms have banned one person or another, so where does the conversation happen?
IMHO @DOGESTYLEEE and @PepedeMedici both need a warning of sorts. Something like this:

please do not personally attack the other person in a conversation

resorting to namecalling means that your side of the discussion is failing. When someone is failing at having a constructive conversation they tend to lash out with various logical fallacies. These we can overcome with a willingness of all parties to be the best we can be, by being educated first, then taking the steps for personal accountability, whatever that looks like varies with every circumstance, no doubt.

It troubles me to see people resort to crying nonsense like claiming personal persecution when insisting on avoiding personal accountability. When raising children I try to get them to understand that there are natural consequences and when there are not, there are parental ones. It is the parent's duty to get the child to understand that the possible natural consequence would have been worse. Yet, no one in this community wants that kind of relationship. We were all attracted to blockchain for various reasons but one of the central ideas is the power or usurping authority. Taking control of the memes of production as they say recently. In this environment we hold eachother up or accountable so that lessons can be learned and the whole community can be better for it. Documentation is important (updating code of conduct docs) so that ultimately we do not have someone's misbehaviour representing our community. This would be the friendly consequence. Unfortunately the other kind is governmental or similar rekt consequences.

All in all, the arguments one uses against others is more telling of his own inner conflicts and hidden identities based in fear. As one finger points outward, three point back.

here we are 4 months later. Should we discuss which have been addressed? For those that were not, is there a community suggested consequence? No goals of redress were set as at the time it was counterclaimed that there were no longer problems, it seemed.

in this situation we have the accused claiming they did nothing wrong. We have given him time to grow with the community standards, instead of against them. This issue is worth discussing for several reasons. One being the current situation, but another being that there will inevitably be anther person who intentionally runs a similar grift. We should document the early warning signs as well as how to respond the next time someone shows these.

I have some plans on implementing a social approval system that can be used on the protocol in the future. But there will always be the challenge of welcoming someone new to the community who wants to do great things, and a greater challenge flagging people who are claiming as such but only intend to weave an even bigger rug than the last guy.
