The white house was scared for Progozhin’s life and offered to move him to the US or a NATO nation. Cia director Bill Burns said, “In my experience, Putin is the ultimate apostle of payback. So I would be surprised if Prigozhin escapes further retribution for this. So in that sense, the president’s right. If I were Prigozhin, I wouldn’t fire my food taster,” President Biden warned Prigozhin, “If I were he I’d be careful what I ate. I’d keep my eye on my menu,” Now there is chatter online that this could be a CIA operation to make Putin look bad, but he tends to do that very well on his own. It’s more likely Putin ordered Progozhin and his plane be taken out.
