@mandarinemarie you need to chill. Nobody is trying to rob you and nobody likes people coming in their DMs cussing at them and calling them names. I was using freewallet and was trying to send a transaction before you even sent yours (was waiting for btc to come in and was checking btc blocks). I have lost btc multiple times using dispensers so when a card is so underpriced you are supposed to use a significantly higher gas fee. Most people in this community are super chill and will give you back btc you sent to a closed dispenser and I will even give you the card for price+gas I used because I had no harmful intent and I know that situations like this suck when you are on the other end. But you need to chill out and learn how to talk to people

you need to learn how to use dispenser and refresh the dispenser website before you sent a transaction on a ultra high fee 7 minutes after mine

Sniping dispensers isn't ethical and would lead to many issues. How about we set rules for that?

What are you prepared to pay, versus what are you prepared to lose?

With a trustless mechanism that can be exploited with a higher fee with no guarantee of return of funds to the losers, that’s the calculation required.

That we are lucky enough to have an excellent community where most people do the right thing and return funds to those who miss out in such cases, is a boon but not a protection.
