You know, there is one thing that has absolutely driven me nuts SINCE emblem bridged the gap “between” Counterparty’s DEx and the Opensea “Centralized” Market, or essentially Counterparty and ETHEREUM. To be perfectly clear, I’m talking about the ETHEREUM community coming into our community and never being happy unless they are bitching about the distribution numbers. It’s a wonder to me, where they were during the time period that nothing sold and Counterparty was nearly gone. I mean seriously, that “gap” must have been so difficult for the Eth community to cross I serious don’t know how they could even make it over the bridge that Shannon built for them and us. In the early period while we where all helping to grow our platform, oh year ETHEREUM was building an idea from copied Bitcoin code. So Without that bridge, I guess the Eth Developers must have gotten together and said, “let’s build a gap to prevent our Eth community from going to Counterparty and seeing how much better it is with then, and in doing so we will cover our tracks from stealing the Smart Contracts Code that was first deployed on Counterparty, along with whatever else we can’t code ourselves. Then we will put an ocean in between them and us, so we take credit for EVERYTHING, and everyone will believe us because we said it on the internet and that means it’s true.” “JUST LIKE THE SMALL BIT OF CODE WE STOLE FROM BITCOIN, about 88% except that encryption and security stuff because 60% of the time, our code works EVERY time to protect our users.”
And yes I totally see them saying exactly that, all while copying the code and then passing it off as their own, which that part is true as the night sky is black(no that’s not a racist comment). Now maybe I can get to my point loool. -
So what pisses me off to no end, and has ever since the first Eth person came over into various RP chat rooms or SoG chat rooms AND BEGAIN BITCHING ABOUT THE DISTRIBUTION OF OUR PEPE’s and SoG cards. I’ve tried to gently explain to these certain band leaders, that unlike them, WE HAD A 2.5 to 3 year period that nothing sold and at times it was possible XCP would be a part of Crypto history books that each of these complainers are chasing. Each time I’ve gotten precisely nowhere except to see my words go in one ear, then mind fuck them to no end while the question of WHY that would have any significance on the distribution numbers puzzles them into a catatonic state. That’s when you just about have to give up. BUT it is still said 500 to 1000 times a day by these people and It’s getting so damn old that every time I hear it or read it, I now know what the doctors that did Frontal Lobe Lobotomy’s where thinking the entire time they did them. And it wasn’t because they thought they were putting the person at peace.
So, any person that reads this and is sick of hearing the same shit, maybe if more of us would TRY to explain to them that just because their platform(ETHEREUM) was just about 1 year and 7 months old and flourishing from ICO scams every where you looked, our platform just turned 4 and was very successful doing the right things, but then the next 2.5 to 3 years leading up to last February. That time period consisted of the least amount of trades in the CP history, smallest amounts of new wallets created, and zero in the pipeline for a new projects to steer us out of that time period. Once 2019 began, people would offer to pay others to take assets from them AND the same assets that sell as “Grail Pieces” now could NOT even be sold for 1 XCP during most of that time period. Hence look at the SoG dump off two weeks ago by one of the first Merchants EDS/SoG had. He listed an FDCARD for 1 XCP and a Satoshicard for not much more not knowing any better. MAYBE that will resonate with these kids that think they know everything, just a thought, and to be completely honest those same persons that continue to beat a dead horse, SHOULD THANK each and every one of us that stayed here and kept Counterparty open(I don’t mean we are owed anything at all, but hearing them saying thanks instead of bitching about our assets distribution and hodling patterns, would be nice to hear). Because if we left like so many did, they would NOT be making 10’s of thousands to 100’s of thousands of dollars on cards and pepes if the Counterparty side chain split off Bitcoin’s blockchain. That split would not lead to a new forked 3rd chain, it would have just ended Counterparty as that’s what happens to spilt side chains. As alway I said entirely to much but really I hope I made my point clear. -

@pappyG45 well two things buddy, 1) the code for both was published as open source so it doesn’t really make a difference if it was “stolen” since anyone has the right to use it. My only problem with how it occurred and all the shit talking about btc AFTER it was taken AND used, plus the one thing they didn’t take, the security Bitcoin is built on, they blame everyone but themselves for the hacks, but that’s kinda petty I suppose on my behalf. Then 2) it’s all very well documented on both cases, the CP smart contracts, and then the 88% of Bitcoin source code, so I could easily get examples you are looking for, but as I said, it’s well documented and can be easily found if you just look around a little bit. If you are interested in something specific just dm me and I can find what it is you are looking for. Though, I am not sure what exactly your plans are once you get it in your hands because it really wasn’t “stolen” in the A-Typical sense that the word “Stealing” is commonly known as. The best word to use would be “COPIED”, then published as their own, which that in my opinion, puts it back into the category of being stolen when you don’t acknowledge the person or person’s that the code was branched from. But doing anything about it would be a futile attempt at best. Plus all in all it would not be a great look for Crypto in general.
I appreciate you reading my little novel I wrote. I wasn’t exactly looking for something to come from that particular point I made, but I was hoping that this nonsense about the distribution aspect of the CP assets would maybe stop for once, IF more of the uneducated people would know the truth about what caused all, or most, of the Counterparty assets to have skewed distribution numbers. It’s sort of shocking to me that almost every single person that bitches about that, has not just looked and seen the reason for the distribution problems. I mean it’s on a blockchain, the biggest and best blockchain that is Bitcoin’s blockchain that fully supports Xchain’s documentation, that is public information and if people have the time to look at the hodlers then they could easily enough look at the orders and see how few of any asset sold during the time frame between mid 2018 and February 2021, and especially between the start of 2019 to February 2021, on the Counterparty DEx.
Anyway, sorry for the late response, I’ve been busy doing some stuff away from my pc’s, tablets and even my phones, since I wrote that. I’m sure you will get this though loool. -
