the vaults are the NFT standard, ERC-721, they are non fungible. ERC-20 is the token standard where they are traded like coins. a bridge would let you convert your xcp pepecash to a eth erc-20 pepecash and trade it against eth in a way that isnt preset packages of pepecash

like if you used the vaults, you could send 10,000 pepecash but you would only be able to trade it as a 10k pepecash block. if it was bridged to you as an ERC-20, you could send/trade any amounts of pepecash freely rather than having to find a buyer for the whole block (vault nft)

so the erc-20 way would make the market more efficient and there would be less barriers to entry, people could just ape any amount on uniswap instead of inspecting vaults on opensea
