At the risk of sounding very amateur, which I am. I’m not sure what client means. I’ve offloaded everything from my Coinbase, and I only used MetaMask for Ethereum when experimenting with shit coins. I noticed with ledger I have the option to buy directly negating the need for such sites as Coinbase, etc. is that what you are referring to?

Pretty much, just so you know, a client is coinbase, freewallet etc. I somewhat remember Ledger having one built in. I’m still learning about the hardware wallets but, I use bitcoin core on a non Microsoft Windows PC, Linux for freedom and privacy
