subasset is an asset you can create, that is related to the original. For instance, you could make ROCKETPEPE.GIFTCARD, for tracking your gift cards, and it is essentially a separate asset, but was derived from the original name

So lets say you make the subasset, and when you send the giftcard to the user, you can also send the subasset, which would show you sent a gift card to them. It can also be used to track a physical asset that may go along with the digital (like original artwork)

In the future, I might create RARECARDDECK.DECK, and send those to who actually physically has the deck. If they were to give that deck to someone else, they would send that subasset to the new address.

No one has really used them extensively. I made some to see that it could be done, but not really send them around.

Since owning the asset itself, does not indicate if there is anything else that goes along with it. Several have sold original artwork drawings, and it would be handy to prove ownership of that actual, physical item.
