address does not need BTC for dispenser to operate

you only need BTC at the address if your opening the dispenser from that address.... like re-opening a dispenser.... if your just opening a dispenser on a brand new empty/unused address, no BTC is necessary

setup your dispenser on an empty address, wait for BTC to arrive from ppl buying from your dispenser... transfer BTC out of dispenser and to your main wallet 🙂

Yes it is, but some people that only use 'old' addy's cannot send BTC to a segwit addy. For example if you use rarepepewallet, you cannot buy from a segwit dispenser. If you sell non-rare pepes it should be OK.

You can from Freewallet, not from rarepepewallet. Gives an 'unknown address' error.

RPW and freewallet-mobile don't allow sending of BTC to segwit addresses... they dont recognize/support segwit

so... for max user exposure... best to use legacy adress for dispenser

but up to you... segwit/bech32 dispensers work fine
