In my case, I ended up having 10 addresses from an old see that were still there along with my new seed, except they didn't have the private keys associated with them.

Thankfully, I still had the old seed and was able to get funds/assets.

It should go from 10 to 11, and keep going up. When I had my issue though, there were 10 addresses from old seed (and no private key) and then it started from 1 again with new seed and went beyond 10, 11, 12 etc.
