Right now CP needs hype/meme/new project power.... functioanlity wise, what we have has been working, we are adding new features like dispeners (vending machines), and will be adding oracled vending machines (ability to setup a dispenser and tie it to a specific fiat currency price... like $1 or $5 EUR, etc.).... functionality-wise, what we really need is a Virtual Machine (VM) where people can write their own smart contracts and do cool stuff.... the hard-coded features of CP have been working great for years and will continue to do so, but I think we need a playground for people to fool around with smart contracts and write their own stuff...... pretty quickly after getting a VM into Counterparty, I imagine we will see uniswap/justswap style contracts pop up with fully decentralized markets with liquidity pools, etc..... so... long-term, that is where I want to see CP go... a big open playground for people to mess around and do fun stuff like rare pepes, bitcorns, etc... but... the Virtual Machine is going to be a big development time suck, and it will need to be supported for at least a couple years... which will translate to a big development/bounty cost...... so.... in order to get to a place where we can fund a cool VM and get more eyes on the project, gotta get some exchange listings to get price up and make XCP more liquid.... and of course, hype/meme/new projects š

From what I have seen... the game supports low issuance cards such as Bitcorns cards (less than 100 issued), but all cards are treated as if 100 are issued, and stats are spread across those 100 cards.... so if this card follows the same rules as past cards, it would just be destroying cards needlessly.

If a card creator wants to burn cards to make their card more rare, that is up to them. However, burning additional cards does not increase the in-game stats. We have the game card rules in place to maximize the fun for all players. If we see artists who repeatedly abuse or bend the rules by burning cards, we will not disqualify any approved cards, but we will consider this behavior in our decisions on future card approvals.
