here's the explanation of the orders appearing to not match.....
-
so the thing with the dex is it rounds to the closest 8 decimal points to give you a price per asset, in this case xcp/pepecash. the actual orders are based on amounts. for instance i place an order for 200 pepecash for 2 xcp and the interface will show that as 0.01 pepecash/xcp. in that case, it's fine because its a rational number less than 8 decimal points. what we saw on the dex with the price of 0.0002057 xcp/pepecash is the rounding of an irrational number. when you try to place an order for that exact amount it isnt really that amount, its some longer number which may or may not be lower than the order you're trying to match. best practice is to place a buy order slightly higher than the lowest sell order. for example, if you see a sell order for 0.00002057 then place a buy order for 0.00002060 to guarantee that it will match. basically, just overshoot the order you're trying to match and you don't have to worry about rounding issues.
