It was intended by the creator of the Rare Pepe Project (Mike) to always reserve a place for the comic artist who created the Pepe character. When it was issued in 2016 by Joe Looney, the image shown read "Reserved for Matt Furie". In September of 2021, Matt Furie requested ownership of FEELSGOODMAN and was given the asset ownership by Joe.
