So rarepepe, fdcard or punk was issued in certain date and chain, why people pay crazy money just so that jpg is moved to first satoshi? It doesn’t change a fact when those nft’s were created, right?! Seems like money grab. But atleast I hope all this hype helps btc nft’s get traction they deserve.

Fundamental interesting new chrome is yeeting data directly onchain, so actually ordinal pepes might be more permanent than XCP ones... in terms or rarity, that's up to the beholder. I don't think they take away value at all from things they copy, actually more like an homage to the original

Also ordinals has its own unique numbering, so a 'low number' ordinal might have some value regardless of the image copied. I doubt higher number ordinals will have such value, maybe we'll see a squeeze for more creativity there
