destorying/transfer the sat that is used to inscribe something has ZERO effect of the data stored on the chain

you can REFERENCE an ordinal's data (image, json, etc) via an asset description... but, using the method Joe created where you actually send the ordinal sat to an unspendable OP_RETURN, you provably "destroy" the ordinal (no one can transfer it ever again), while also issuing a CP token in the same transaction..... it is a cool/smart way to destroy something on ordinals and re-create it on CP where you can use all the existing features of CP (dispensers, dex, issue subassets, etc)

such as it is possible for someone to close it with a high fee after you send you bitcoin there in which case they could not send you the token and keep your bitcoin

so there is some risk to be excersized when using them

but for example seeing someone having bought 5xcp 1 hour ago and the dispneser just sitting ther eis a pretty good sign

Not only that but there’s also a palpable sense of greed and selfishness when it comes to a lot of the Ethereum collections, even supposed “historical” ones. I’m not denying that in Bitcoin-centric circles either, but I see it a lot more often when meandering through a few discord servers… it’s a player vs player mentality fuelled by judgement and ego. For the most part, I find rare pepes are something you collect for yourself, and while it’s motivating to climb the leaderboard, there’s less of that FOMO/lack mentality going around.

Convert that ETH to hard money and you'll have an easier time here, imo.
