Would be awesome if @hodlencoinfield added a description decoder —-> inscription # on inscribe.art to easily verify. -
inscription numbers assigned by ordinals.com but do not actually track inscriptions based on their position in the blockchain. This is based on an arbitrary decision that even though technically it is entirely possible (and potentinally useful IMO) to use a satoshi to inscribe twice ordinals.com does not recognize this. I made an asset to demonstrate this

I like to think of Ordinals and Inscriptions as 2 separate projects. Inscriptions are a useful storage mechanism that can even be utilized by Counterparty assets. Ordinals is “Bitcoin Astrology” like those companies that sell land rights to stars.

Ordinals is fine but it’s clearly a set of opinionated rules over land ownership. Even the FIFO model is a decision. Sats could be tracked any number of ways.

Right now inscribe.art doesn’t interact with ord at all -
It just looks at the inscription reveal Tx to find the inscription data

I can add a description to Tx Id decoder

while I guess its a bit more manual, a collectooor could put the reveal ID of an inscription into Inscribe.art and then compare the output with the ORD description on xchain. If it matches, then the inscription is "authentic".
