Who made that broadcast?
Ballzy indeed
If it was up to me all my $ would be in btc and counterparty assets
But I have a wife lol 😂 - 04 August 2024 (2 messages)

Thank you, its fresh from the oven.. :)

Let her read Bitcoin standard.
Orange pill for wife is a tricky one for sure. - 06 August 2024 (3 messages)

This is the back to back look and feel

Is there an easy way to have the assets art be front and centre I mean that’s what we want to see
And maybe all the info below
Also what about if there is a dispense just having a dispenser button beside or below the art ?? That would be cool then you could just scroll down if you wanted to see the text info ??!
Just a newbie idea? - 08 August 2024 (9 messages)

FYI - Explorer seems to have some stability issues today
-
-
Possibly a vercel issue? I know they had some incidents/downtime reported yesterday.
-
@Niftyboss1 do you use a vpn? I've been having the same issue which gets resolved when i disable my vpn
-
No VPN ser
-
Seems to happen on the dispenses page mostly
-
(Reloading the page usually fixes it)
-
hm okay! will fwd error!
-
@Niftyboss1 fix deployed. please lmk if it's working for you

Yep feels super fast and robust now! Well done 👍🙏

Mempool data appears to be lagging by a couple hours?
See the 2 PEPECASH dispenses: -

Oops one sec
-
Nope my bad - please ignore

Growing pains seems normal

Yeah that's a regression in 10.3.1. It's been fixed but hasn't been deployed yet.
-
Not sure if anyone has reported this bug yet, but it seems new. Any asset name you type into the search box gets treated as if it were an address.
-
yeah caught that one and filed it, appreciate you fwding it. as i said we're heads-down on the wallet atm but will be getting back to the explorer in the coming weeks.

Horizon wallet ?? Out yet ?
-
Want to see if it’s so easy to use even a Cody can use it lol
It’s a good sales pitch hahah
If I can work your wallet anyone can haha 😂 -

Hi, all! We're going to be prioritizing some work on Horizon Explorer over the next few weeks. What features do people most want to see? What's keeping you from using it as your primary Counterparty block explorer? (Wallet will be out in beta in the next few weeks!)
-
-
I'd rather see the order first. On mobile you have to scroll left and right.
-
Thumbnails on the list pages would be very useful.
-
Yes not easy on Mobile
And most people want to see the art first when looking up assets and then scroll for the info after -
A bitcoin logo
-
That sounds good if you want more people using it honestly it has to be a little flashy and fancy
Some pizaaaz wouldn’t hurt
I know it’s not code but it might increase usage as odd as that sounds to techie Guys ! lol -
-
People are simple creatures like crows really
It has to be shiny -
A Flashy XCP logo?
I'm ready for the emblem vault interview today. Keep up the good work. -
That’s gonna. Be a good one
Emblem vault
I was such a believer in it until I tried it out it’s clunky and odd I feel the tech is still way too techie for me lol 😂
But I’m simple haha
It would be great to just be able to have that slick scrolling and one button buy options I. Your wallet !!
With sponsored sales from new drops !!
Emblem vault feels like an unnecessary step in my mind ?! -
@teysol I think we need to more clearly distinguish between different issuance events. Will be especially important with the fair minting feature.
-
Hmm tell me more ?!
-
Fair minting ?
-
Fair minting is a popular way to mint assets in a decentralized manner. A sort of variation on Counterparty's proof-of-burn, which Ordinals made immensely popular. Fair minting will be included in v10.4.0 of Counterparty Core. You can read details here: https://gist.github.com/ouziel-slama/9eb05ff9890eb402cd9adb4e166a5469fairminting.md

-
L2 integration still is goated
-
-
Oh ya !! Xcp =$
-
Hmm are Joes coins still mintable ?
-
Wow that’s a lot of variables. Some fun stuff can be done with this.
-
yep! the goal was to at least replicate but also expand on the Ordinals minting model.
-
You made it right ?!
Do you want to build some
Cool art. Happening and send that baby ! Out ?! -
I am particularly interested to see fair mints on existing issuances. Should be really interesting.
-
It’s been hard as a newbie to figure out the whole inscription thing tbh I’d love to see it un techiefied
-
yeah, we're pushing hard to make a user-friendly wallet!
-
Oh that's interesting... hadn't considered... so if an asset has an existing supply... how does the fair mint work exactly? New supply generated?
-
Hmm ya !! Great question
-
Maybe having 0 supply is a requirement for it to use the Fair Mint feature?
-
I gotta dig into the docs, maybe its covered and I missed this nuance
-
So if you wanted to use a pre existing asset you could just reset it and the. Inscribe ? Then away you go ?!
I feel I’ve seen this in some assets for the rare ordinal project
I think they did that ? -
yep! So you can mint on issuances and issue on mints (only if supply isn't locked OFC).
-
(actually, mints on issuances is a pretty interesting way to generate yield!)
-
Would the supply lock after the fair mint or would the deployer be able to add more supply in the traditional way afterwards. I think locking might be important to avoid dilution
-
I think at the protocol level it's important that supply locking not be enforced after the mint, but in the wallet software I think it's preferable to default to locking supply after minting period.
-
Hmmm… this has the potential to be easily gamed. Just a suggestion: if fair minting were only available to assets with supply already locked then minters would have confidence that the supply won’t be inflated later.
-
if the supply were locked you couldn't mint 😉
-
So could this all be done through horizon eventually then no unisat!?
-
Yeah I get that… just thinking out loud
-
yep! We're pushing hard to get this ready for 10.4.0's release, can't speak to timelines yet.
-
💯 I would feel a lot better with a locked supply for sure
-
So far under promise over deliver it’s a great way to keep us happy lol
-
Maybe it’s solvable with an unlocked supply but burned ownership
-
as designed minters can check to see whether or not the supply will be locked after the minting. it's just a flag
-
yeah I probably should've led with that lol. sorry.
-
-
not gameable--verifiable at the time of the mint's deployment.
-
Ok so they can see this in advance? Ok cool
-
That would be the ticket like so many of the you know what’s shit coins lol
-
So you can see it or there is a stop if it’s sketchy ?
-
Yes, you can tell whether an asset's supply is locked after the mint period by checking the parameter lock_quantity on the mint.
-
Okay so idiots like me have to be careful lol 😂 got cha
-
Those who named-squatted assets will benefit greatly I think, and decentralized yield farming through fair minting seems to be like a pretty interesting opportunity.
-
That’s awesome.
Some very fun community art/nft projects can be created by doing this. -
-
-
My new card determinpepe
Each card comes with a physical!! Metal card and a unique inscription!!
Also if you buy more than one at a time they all link together with a physical set inscribed on the back !
Collection in a collection.
And and lots of cool features I built with what’s out there already !!
Low tech Cody haha 😂 -
The commission, that’s XCP?
-
Shameless plug xcer.co, check it out
-
So you can have either an XCP commission (`price` in the spec) or a commission of the asset that's being minted, or both.
-
Sounds awesome. If you're doing physicals, you should put the asset on an NFC sticker and place on the back.
-
Ya I had too the chat felt right lol sorry
-
never seen this before @XCERXCP. Cool!
-
Hmm 🤔 I was getting them engraved with the xchain info of the transaction and talking to the buyers
Then engraving something special on each one !! -
111 cards 135 physicals
-
Engraving is cool. I'm referring to something hidden which would contain the private key to the asset. This way the digital asset and physical are linked
-
I’ve never seen that !! How do you get into that ?
-
These are cool. I own a couple.
-
Ah yes hmm 🤔
Don’t know if I’m. Smart enough lol for that -
I’m in that x series of pepeproject so maybe ?! 🤔
-
-
-
-
-
Hang on !!! This is Mike in space !! I thought you were totally anon !! Cool 😎
-
LOL... not really that anon... my face is out there in various podcasts and videos
-
Your face is on your picture pfp lol
-
Okay that’s it next card set will have nfcs and use this circ fit ?! Circ bit ?
-
Cool 😎
-
I like circbit because they are cheap and there is some rudimentary integration with Counterparty through their app. Most NFC solutions have no Counterparty awareness.
-
-
Like always has been haha everyone thinks it’s a stock pic hahah
-
Bitcoin Car Talk, right?
-
Okay and yes counterparty is the only way to go !!
I feel like all other NFTs are just pictures on the internet lol 😂 -
Good solution as well. You can get a roll of those holographic scratch off stickers on Amazon cheap
-
I bet haha and soon there will be no way to run them haha
-
The Genesis block is smaller than 1 MB so we put it on a floppy disc and sold it lol
-
Cool do they have to be special ones ?
-
The idea is you convert the private key into a QR code, print it out and place the holographic scratch-off on top. User scratches off like a lottery ticket to reveal private key which can be imported into a wallet
-
So funny and cool !
I showed my kids one and they tought it was a strange toy of a black cheese slice
Haha like no idea haha -
super clever idea. love it.
-
Oh k I see the scratch off you get on Amazon woow fun !!🤩
-
-
I love that in hit hub. You guys type out In words what actions your performing lol it helps me follow along as a 0 techie lol 😂
-
>© 1993 All Rights Reserved
😄 -
I’m not crazy about the NFC, I prefer the non trustless old school scratch lol
-
My physical engraving and special inscription on the back will be 💯 unique !
But someone could still sell both separately lol only making things more rare and collectible!! -
👍
-
Thats like driving around with a notarized ‘open title’ to your car in the glovebox. Cool idea, bad opsec.
-
Well it’s not a car. It’s a collectible. It’s not sitting out on the street
-
Hey fun question I received an asset blank one and it’s won’t show in free wallet over a day after ??
Any tricks
I’m trying to update the description I just made a new json file on easy asset and now how can I mint it if not in free wallet ? -
It’s a pepe wallet adress that I imported into free wallet does that matter ?
-
Or just wait ?
-
I see both sides of it
Luckily my inscription personalized will make at least the physical a one off and proven owner ship until they decide to sell it ! I guess black market guys don’t care lol - 23 August 2024 (12 messages)

Could I have your FreeWallet addy for a drop please !

Thank you

It’s a companion card to one that isn’t out yet lol 😂

Thanks for asking. WRT the Horizon tooling suite, I'd say we have a good handle on what needs to be done to get into production, it's a matter of time and testing. There's a long tail with these things, especially their first release.
What will be most helpful when the wallet is released is feedback. Also, we have someone working on the explorer, so if you have any wishlist items there please let us know. -
Periwig
Wallet addy I’ve got a drop for you !! -
I think these would be convenient/useful:
On the 'addresses' page, also show BTC balance

On a dispenser page, show if there are any pending dispenses

guys, I have made a recursive html stamp today. wanted to check it on horizon explorer but it threw and error loading the image (its not an image per se..)
do you plan to support html stamp recursive madness? asking because I have things in work that are based on this tech..

we definitely do plan to add it, yep!

And to be clear, RAREPEPE isn't secretly a divisible asset lol; our designer made a mistake in the mockups. Here's a screenshot of the wallet in use.
