Hi, all. We just released v1.7.3 of Horizon Web Wallet. This release includes
* Simplified seed loading
* Automated account regeneration when you load your seed
* Your wallet will now lock after a period of inactivity, and require your wallet password. Additionally, by default, as long as your wallet is unlocked you do not have to enter your password to perform actions in your wallet. The inactivity period by default is set to 5 minutes. If you want to change that time or require your password for every action, simply go into the wallet's Settings tab.

v1.7.3 will be available in the Chrome extension later this week. Please let us know if you have any questions about this release. Thanks!

Hi all, we just made a new release of Horizon Market, which contains some major new features.
- First, we've added a simple wizard to create NFTs through the marketplace. Select "Create" in the nav bar and then enter your asset details to create a Counterparty asset. Asset media (gifs/images and/or audo) get stored on IPFS with a reference in the asset's description field following the standard developed by Joe Looney.
- Now, instead of having to attach balance operation in Horizon Wallet before listing an asset on the Market, you can attach asset balances as part of the listing workflow. This should massively simplify the listing process.
- As part of the buy workflow you can now detach the asset you purchased from a UTXO directly, which eliminates the risk of accidentally spending the asset.

This was a major effort and we're eager for feedback. Of course, all of these features work with any wallet supported by Horizon Market, not just Horizon Wallet. Let us know what you think!

You can import your freewallet seed into Horizon. In order to connect a wallet to the market it needs to be a Chrome extension.

Horizon Market supports a bunch of wallets: Xverse, Leather, OKX, Unisat and obviously Horizon Wallet.

Most importantly, by supporting the ar: or ar:// prefix, arweave users can save on bitcoin transaction fees by shortening their asset description length.

hm? AFAIK there's no minimum amount of an asset to dispense. There's a Bitcoin network dust limit of 546 sats.

I'll think about how to do this. They're each fundamentally different markets. We've got consolidated trading volumes for every asset against BTC and XCP.

In fact if you take a look at current Pepecash dispensers, they are priced between 15 sats and 30 sats per PEPECASH (give quantity 1), but Horizon wallet doesn't allow setting such a low price

@teysol I cannot login (as I do not have my pwd), and so I cannot load another existing wallet. I access only the login UI without any menu or link

There isn't a way to log out, that saw, so required a password to change or do anything. Any idea what that is about. Like the wallet though. Finally looked at my counterwallet after a couple of years.

If you're sure you don't need to recover access, I guess you can just manually reset the cookies + site data for wallet.unspendablelabs.com (in your browser settings)

This is the auto lock feature. It forces you to log in to take any actions on your wallet. If you do not have your password, you can clear your browser data + cache and sign back in. If you want to change your auto-lock settings, you can do so on the settings page once logged in

It's precisely with atomic swaps that you _can't_ lose your funds: atomic swaps are a way to trustlessly trade Counterparty assets for BTC.

You can lose your funds only if you use your Counterparty wallet seed in a wallet that doesn't support Counterparty. This is a terrible security practice in general but we understand people do it. Having said that, even this can be mitigated by detaching assets after you purchase them, which we've integrated as part of the purchasing workflow.

Do atomic swaps take advantage of utxo similarly to how bitcoin stamps do?

So the way atomic swaps work is by essentially sending a Counterparty asset from an address to a UTXO owned by that address. You then sign a PSBT to list that UTXO-attached asset on a PSBT marketplace like Horizon. Someone can then co-sign and broadcast that PSBT in order to purchase your asset for the listing price you set. Because it's all one transaction the exchange is atomic and trustless.

I am just saying that the swap itself doesn't pose a risk of loss of funds, but rather in seed sharing between wallets that do and don't support Counterparty. And we've done a _lot_ to mitigate that risk (and to make the attaching and detaching process simpler and safer)

Seeing how horizon is a browser Extention in my Jo tech brain it seems like linking to easy asset would be simple ish ?

After EasyAsset went down for like a week we realized that the ecosystem needed another way to create NFTs easily, so we built that right into Horizon Market. If you're using the extension, simply click "Create" in the nav bar and you'll be taken to an EasyAsset-like interface for asset creation.

You can't modify an existing asset from the market launchpad; it's for creating new assets. We can add support for modifying issued assets later.

I am not sure I understand. The asset creation workflow is free. Horizon has a credits system) for listing assets on the swaps marketplace: 1 credit = 1 listing, and you can either buy either (a) 1 credit for $2; (b) 5 credits for $9; or (c) post unlimited listings for a month for $20.

Note we're currently adding support to post listings without an account, and by extension the ability to pay for your listing in the same workflow as you post the listing to the marketplace.
