Hey all. Just a quick FYI that I created a counterparty-node-client for, well, Node. It might help y'all so thought I'd share: https://github.com/AryanJ-NYC/counterparty-node-clientGitHub - AryanJ-NYC/counterparty-node-client: A TypeScript client for Counterparty

HELL YES

-
For now it's an exact copy of the old doc in a much more readable format.
But we can improve it (a lot) -

Hey guys, trying to pay out dividends(subasset) to the main asset holders but i get the following error
-
any ideas as to what could be the issue?
-
asset and sub-asset have same issuance.

what asset are you trying to pay out dividends on? zero dividend typically appears when the total amount the dividend would pay out is 0
-
same supply on each asset.
-
trying to send 1 as dividend.

that explains the issue right there... there are no holders of your PABLOSURYA token except for you.... so your dividend doesn't pay out to anyone
-
dividends pay out to holders of a token... since you don't have any holders of the token other than the issuing address (which is ignored in dividends), your dispense pays out no dividends to anyone.. hence the 'zero dividend' error
-
When a dispenser "times out" does it behave the same as if someone closed it manually
-
Not sure what you mean by times out….. they stay open until emptied or closed
-
I thought dispensers close automatically after xx blocks?
-
Or is that just for dex orders?
-
Yeah just Dex orders
-
-
Mhhh makes sense! Thanks for explaining that. So I have to get some distribution going on the main asset! Thanks so much
-
Quick follow-up, if I send the original asset to anotherwalet I control will dividends pay out 1-1.... My idea is to have the main asset as the main source of distribution for all sub assets... I don't know if this makes sense...
-
Yes, dividends are paid out to all holders except the distribution address (which is also the asset owners address)

anyone know how to fix this bug? {"error": {"code": -32000, "message": "Server error", "data": {"type": "UnknownPubKeyError", "args": ["Public key was neither provided nor published in blockchain."], "message": "Public key was neither provided nor published in blockchain."}}, "id": 0, "jsonrpc": "2.0"}
-
do a normal send from that address once and then it should be solved
-
working on getting freewallet to pass the public key for addresses to get past that issue with using brand new addresses
