that issue comes from the address never having been used in an outbound transaction.... try doing a BTC send from that address and then try your command again -
i'll work on passing the public key for new addresses in API calls in freewallet in the next release

hey @jdogresorg @pataegrillo I had an asset waiting in the mempool for quite some time, it finally got cleared, but now it's nowhere to be found, either in issuances or mempool. What could have happend here, is there some kind of asset purgatory 😬? -

I always thought max order expiration = 8064.
In cp db i see a few orders with expiration = 65535 from 2014. Also some more recent orders from 2017 with expiration 3000.
Can i conclude that 8064 is s wallet specific limit and 65535 is the protocol maximum?
Asking because i want to promote BTC DEX for valuable NFTs. It could be nice not to have the order expire too quickly. 65535 blocks is about 9 months. 8064 is one month. -
Only used wallets to do it and they all had the same cap - so had assumed it was a hard cap but I haven’t checked for any docs on it or anything

6 blocks an hour, 144 blocks a day, 4032 blocks each 28 days, 8064 blocks is 56 days

Oh you're right. I counted 10 blocks per hour , brainfart on my end.
But anyway want ~1yr expiry.
I will try 8064 blocks on testnet first. Paranoid about breaking mainnet. -

We have chatted in the past about extending the max expiration blocks… please weigh in on this thread so we can start getting some community consensus on if this is a good idea…. I am supportive of increasing expiration to 1 year as long as there are no negative side-effects

A number of users in the community have expressed frustrations with the current max order expiration of 8064 blocks (2 months). The purpose of this post is to discuss interest in increasing the max order expiration and if so, what should the max allowed be? 1.) Could increasing the max_expiration have any negative effects on the CP system (more orders to check for matches each block, etc)? 2.) What should the max_expiration be increased to? (48,384 blocks = 1 year) Thoughts?

i think a longer time frame being an option would be beneficial, the more stuff on the market the better right :P... im sure if a fee was required to do a longer expiration atleast people would have the option.

"sweep" in CP is only for assets and asset ownership.. it doesn't deal with moving the BTC

No, electrum does not sweep multisig outputs.
I tested it today. https://blockstream.info/testnet/address/mszKvXQgvN3Dv8ifidzb5tpa6oRpUZd2Mt
The latest tx is electrum. It did use all the regular inputs, so at least it cleaned up those. CW uses only one input.

hey guys newish to xcp community but planning to be around for awhile. Just ordered a new desktop to bring up an XCP fed node, I still need to ramp up on this dev enviro as I'm an old windows MS dev (c#, SQL Server, etc). Going to be starting trying to get the node up later today and tomorrow.

Install Ubuntu for best results… could prolly run windows n then run virtualbox and an Ubuntu OS install in a virtual machine…. Would let ya use windows dev tools but still be able to run/interact with a CP node on the same machine

Expect disk usage to be around 750-800 GB for the Bitcoin/addrindexrs/counterparty data in the fednode

Ideal setup would be a 2TB SSD and 64 gigs RAM…. U can run with less ram but more is better😀👍🏻

I have linked up a Samourai wallet paynym with a XCP asset json description .. this allow you to easily communicate your chosen Nym and receive payments privately over BTC network .. much like a myname.eth domain facilitates but with better privacy
