I'm looking for the steps that are involved to create a new directory that can be shown on xchain with the green bar. This is for an artist that has a large following and is looking to create one. Any help or contacts would be appreiated. Not the web side just the steps and flow to have them added to xchain etc.
-
I think that is managed directly by JDog
-
(I guess it has a cost)
-
ok well when you see this JDog would love to know costs and process so I can see if Artist wants to move forward
-
Could it be that this order bugged the ledger?
https://xchain.io/tx/2013369 -
I'm thinking of asking the artist to cancel it
-
Notice how it shows filled while 10 are remaining
-
Those are the missing 10 that show on the error
-
Is this going to reset parsing or will it continue where I stopped? Kinda nervous to apply it
-
I have finally finished parsing after 1 week+ and don't wanna start all over xD
-
you dont need to
-
follow the instructions laid out, itll catch up nice and quick
-
Alright let's see
-
sometimes on rebuilds ive been left with an oddity or two resolve, this all went super clean after following JDogs list there.
-
youll be done in ten mins, and then it'll just need ot catch up to now.
-
It depends on SQLite 😂
-
Aryan did you manage to delete the data file ? cd federatednode/data/counterparty/ is inaccessible for me
-
"no such file or directory"
-
check your folder names, did you mount somewhere else?
-
Last time I solved it by removing it from Docker where I mounted
-
for me it is /mnt/IncrediblyLongreferenceFolder/federatedNode/..... lel
-
Yeah had to mount it on a different location cuz it was on boot disk and it ate all the space
-
Ok I think I got this
-
Yeah.

To list the project with an “this is an official card of xxxx project”, your project needs to have at least a few pieces of artwork and have a community established with at least a few holders of cards... I also require the following:
1. Name of project
2. Website for project
3. List of cards and images in json format like http://raredogedirectory.com/list.json
4. A $1000 btc administration/setup fee for writing a script to parse in your project cards and update xchain once every 24 hours.
If you can send me the above items via email to j-dog@j-dog.net and also send the $1000 to 1JDogZS6tQcSxwfxhv6XKKjcyicYA4Feev then I can get started on updating xchain to include your project next week -
Thanks for the detailed reply. I will loop back with this info and see if the artist wants to move forward.

-
Thx
-
Fyi I just gave you n xcer admin permissions here… feel free to remove whatever 😀👍🏻
-
Thx bro
-
-
Could you give me admin permissions on the CP general to delete that kind of spam?
-
-
I dunno man... your a pretty suspicious character 😛
-
-
Done... you have permissions to delete messages and ban users in main CP channel 🙂

Is CP server down?

My node is stuck, also xchain seems to be too

Xchain looks current

There are periods where it laggs behind. now it's fine
-
It happened again now
-
-
See stuck transactions under unconfirmed when they already have 3+ confirmations
-
Also, newly initiated unconfirmed transactions don't show up my node (niether on xchain), see example
-
-
Or is this maybe a normal behavior of the parser when it laggs behind as more transactions are stacked ?
-
the mempool is updated less frequently when there are lots of transactions.... this could explain why transactions which are already in a block still show as unconfirmed for a while until the mempool is updated again

Not sure if there is an upper limit tbh, depends on type of encoding method
-
Doesn't seem so. Trying to put Nakas in the description (only 1kb)
-
-

-
anti spam measure
-
would be my guess
-
as long as counterparty parses it then its technically there whether xchain shows it or not

IMO the description field is meant to have a URL or a very brief description in there, it is not meant for writing novels or long descriptions (that is what the enhanced asset info JSON is for).... so yeah, in freewallet I limited to 52 characters... I just made an update which raises that limit to 200 characters, which should be more than enough to encode a long URL and/or a text description... that update should be in the next freewallet release week after next (on vacation next week in mexico for my birthday) . https://github.com/jdogresorg/freewallet-desktop/commit/8ee152c5d4b0cacf3c6720e447913500d563d1e5

There are some cases where I display stuff different than the CP database, like in the case of special characters which the database has issues storing, and which can break SQL queries.... but beyond that, the data you see on xchain matches the CP database like 99.9% of the time 🙂

Non-ascii chars are not shown on xchain. This means only English language is displayed correctly.
I've found quite a few gems in the CP DB that are not on xchain.
Instead of long asset descriptions I recommend broadcasts. A quirk in counterparty requires description to be included in all subsequent issuances, e.g issue more tokens, transfer ownership. If your description is too long for opreturn (54 char?) all those subsequent issuances become very expensive. (Except LOCK - issuance logic is messy...) -
DOGEOLITH is an example of broadcast used wisely IMO.

-
That’s all @jdogresorg, keeping the lights on for everyone
