My $0.02 and feel free to disregard it, but I've spent money on a good variety of Pepe merch including an original Pepe painting that's been hanging on my wall for 4 years: you'd never catch me wearing a shirt or shoes displaying a BLM fist. And I have a suspicion that I'm not alone with that.
Another thing: I love most Pepes, I have no issue with that very plain looking one, either. It's all about the creativity. BUT... when it comes to clothing and fashion, that pepe.bmp looking thing may come off looking very weird, like something someone painted on at home. Clothes are supposed to look good, I can imagine just a thousand different pepes that would look better.
There's so much cool Pepe art, and if you don't want to spend time contacting any of the authors you could even make beautiful Pepe art with AI. It would look better on a shoe while still representing. Even if you want to go with a very simplistic Pepe, there's probably better options. -
