There has been development on trusted dispensers where you can link your social profile.
Of course, it’ll still probably be possible to game this. I imagine this will create a dichotomy of trusted dispensers and those that are not. There will be nuance within the “trusted” dispensers that buyers will not dig into. Someone could create fake socials to get the “trusted” check mark or whatever, and buyers will accept that to be good without verifying further who the seller is. -
Another proposal I think was put forth was locking a dispenser once an incoming tx is first seen that prevents it from being closed or bought by a separate address.

You can make the dispenser pay out the first tx it sees not based on confirmations, then there can be no front running
Then if you add a time delay to close dispenser like 3-4 confs or more it would also prevent the dispenser being closed with pending tx -

The issues raised we: someone shouldn't have to wait to close a dispenser and what if the first transaction stays pending too long.... both are better results than someone getting rugged. Waiting to close the dispenser, personally i dont think is such a big issue and if the first transaction is pending for two long or someone sent a low value tx on purpose for some dumb reson the dispenser owner can close and will still get the low tx transaction if it hasn't confirmed in the 3-4 confs

Good news is. We could set up a website and force people to authenticate their dispensers via Twitter. Even demand a blue check, and make a white list easily. it's the only easy path I see to solving the rugspencers issue.

Seems like dispensers need to be made secure even if that adds some inconveniece rather than constantly put people's funds at risk. You can prevent your passphrase from being stored in browser localstorage by just using incognito mode -
If you encrypt with a password it uses AES 256bit encryption and stores the encrypted passphrase in localstorage

Then write each word on a piece of paper, put them in a hat, and draw one out. Take that paper, put it in your pocket, and forget about it. Then wash those pants. All safe now.

@MrCoins I'm very sympathetic to your problem of funds lost from a front-run closed out dispenser.
Wherever there is a bad actor in the community, tracking down the culprit is important if it's possible to achieve it.
To date there has not been one specific forum where people can discuss Dispensers, share dispensers, discuss and confirm information about dispensers.
So I have created The Dispensary.
I will share this new group any time I see discussions of dispensers, or dispenser problems, as these threads can consume a lot of collective bandwidth for people not directly involved in problem resolution.
I have invited @MrCoins and @davesta to that new group, so we can offboard the Dispenser problem discussions there.
Everyone is welcome to join.
People will be able to post their created Dispensers in The Dispensary, that you are prepared to stand by and resolve any fulfilment problems with.
We can look at building some social identifiers against known good reused Dispenser addresses as well.

Bro the room for bidding is to prevent “the bots” in the regular group from gaining access or partaking in actual live auctions.
Even as a seller you don’t have access to the bidding room except your a registered bidder.

Also WTH now has a 2xcp non-refundable submission fee.. xcp is not a fixed price asset. They should come up with their own token that one have to buy to submit... let the market and seller determine the price for submission so long as the % stands. Instead of using xcp which price can change every minute/hours.
That way, the price for submission can either go up or down based on the actual traffic/engagement of the group and submission -
