What's a backwards incompatible protocol change? It looks like something that would affect historical assets. Haha but I guess by the context it is not the case. -
it means for a handful of message types, the current data encoding method will no longer appear as valid after v11 activation and you'll need to use the new data encoding method to create valid txs -
it affects anyone that doesnt use the API to compose txs

Figured it out and minted a rarepepe in the rarepepe wallet. Idk what that means, but it did work. The ipfs image output on the tokenscan site makes the image look extremely small and pixilated though.

Yeah but what is the method used to find out what I did looking at the bitcoin transaction? I've heard something about the OP-RETURN or something. I see that in the transaction, but it's a bunch of gibberish. Is there a way to decode it?

Tokenscan leads you to a bad ipfs link BTW! Idk if anybody was aware of that or not, or maybe it's just me that gets that result.

If you use the horizon wallet to mint it will automatically provide you the link upon minting to copy or click

Pepe wtf is meant to be user friendly so idk if they plan to make it so you can or not.
But with the other ones you can
For instance click one of the recent mints on tokenscan and you'll see they'll have a link that shows you more information
In the asset description -

🤘**Announcing Counterparty Core v11.0.1**🤘
This release is a patch on the v11.0.0 protocol upgrade with the same activation block (902000—in ~1 week). It allows for backwards-compatibility in the transaction encoding format. It also adds support for Bitcoin signet and fixes a few bugs, including one critical bug in the new issuance decoding logic.
Note: This release is a protocol upgrade. All nodes must upgrade by block 902000 (in ~1 week).

I mean there hasn't been any support for Bitcoin addresses that are now 70% of tx volume...

I think the unmaintained always crashing indexer was the main problem for them.
Then unsupported taproot addresses, and lack of interest in the protocol -
I think it would be wise for Counterparty to have a bigger presence in conferences. In Lisbon for example, probably the biggest conference in Europe for NFTs, there was not even a banner about counterparty. Maybe I missed something, but I think we are losing a good opportunity to spread the word. Counterparty started it all, so imo we need to be in the centre of this conferences.

Yeah the more people that take part the better. But I wonder if we are doing enough, even me personally I was there, I should have contributed by speaking. I also wonder if that is enough, these talks in Lisbon had like 10 to 20 people max listening, half of them on their phones throughout. I just find it difficult to understand that any random shitcoin has more presence than us that have been at the forefront of NFTs and digital art. We should be at the centre of the stage and barely anyone knows about us.

Silly Q: I see new sites offering Unisat, OKX and Leather wallet connect options, and I'm wondering first why Leather, does it even work adequately? Also why not wizz, it supports ordinal inscriptions, runes, etc.

Mine is one of that sites, i added leather as they support stamps that are counterparty assets and shows them in their wallet, also we have good relationship with them so makes sense, I didn't know about whizz, I can add it

Counterparty is one of the first tokenization platforms created on bitcoin, releasing on mainnet in 2014 and has been kept running continuously throughout the years through community efforts. Counterparty hosts some of the earliest and most significant NFT collections.
