I believe it will be a shared Multisig held by multiple trusted parties. I don’t think you could build a product like Emblem that was completely non-custodial. -

It's probably healthy to have both trading options available. That way people can use whatever is comfortable for them, and if a price disparity develops, those who are skilled in using both methods can benefit from the arbitrage opportunity while increasing liquidity. 👍 -
Definitely looks that way. One would think someone with a horizon wallet account who knows how to use both would close that price gap, but maybe it will take a while for people to adapt to the new way of trading (atomic swaps).

What happens when an "address is closed"?

That’s fair! It will send extra BTC in the amount of the current transaction fee.
So if you look at the Confirm Send details after you have checked the "Send Extra BTC" box, you'll see it is sending a BTC Quantity of 3600 sats; that includes the 1800 sats to cover the fee to open the dispenser, and an extra 1800 sats that will be sent to the address. that way you have some btc at that address should you want to close the dispenser.

What would happen if you had a bunch of dispensers on your main address? I assume it would work as long as each of them had a different price.
Did they fix the accidental dispense if you send too much BTC? For example if I had two dispensers - one at 0.0005 BTC and another at 0.0006 and I sent 0.0006 would it only dispense the higher one?
In the past an overpayment would trigger a send of anything priced lower than the amount you sent. -
OR is it still best practices to use one addy per dispenser?

well, the address where the asset is stored is your main address since you either created it or are selling it from your own collection. I think best practice would still have to be sending that asset to an empty address along with some BTC.

I'm very bullish on XCP and hold a substantial position.
But I tend to like to see movement/liquidity in markets, and given that at the moment we only have sell XCP/buy BTC standing order mechanisms available (in both dispensers and atomic swaps, AFAIK), I like to supply a little liquidity while also gauging the buy XCP/sell BTC side of the market by putting out small orders to see how the market reacts/absorbs them. -

Not for lack of trying but pepecash anywhere else has been a scam multiple times even when good ideas were put forward. Only place I’d touch it again is native.
Making it anywhere else does nothing for xcp so I doubt the maintainers have any desire to do so nor do I imagine the rp people do either as their story closed so if you want it done you’ve got an uphill battle I assume. -

I don't think so there are no good tools from what I can see that makes trading anything easy for web2 people on Counterparty. There is no way to find fair market value for any of the assets.
That is why the community hasn't grown in my opinion it is very hard to onboard new people because there are so many hoops to jump through. -

It has been used as a currency since 2016 by the Counterparty community. And that is where it should stay.

If you put 1000 bitrock in a utxo, you can only swap those 1000 bitrock as a chunk. You can divide them, but then you have to send them out of the utxo.
