oh cool thx
-
worked thx
-
yeah we gotta improve that UX, thanks for pointing it out.
-
i got to help you with something technical... marking my fucking calendar lol
-
Thanks for that @KaneMayfield.
-
need to get Kane a Tech Support tag
-
lol
-
Hi frens.. how view mi private key on horizon wallet
-
that would be WHOLESALE irresponsible... im here for it
-
BTW good progress on pk import. Should be done by EOD tomorrrow. Then DEX.
-
We're adding this along with pk import. Will make sure they get released together.
-
Thks mate
-
"swap ur sushi for pancakes and hook up that megaman mask to ur dot com... that's gonna trigger the scientists to approve ur bitcorns fren... thanks for stopping by tech support"
-
Any plans for a stand alone wallet?
-
this looks really good so far btw
-
Yep so the tenative order is: web wallet (current) -> extension (certainly by end of Nov but very probably sooner) -> desktop wallet -> mobile.
-
I think by first half of December we'll have a desktop wallet ready. This is by far my preference too, FWIW
-
forgot it was October lol, edited: extension by no later than end of Nov.
-
-
seeing this error when I look at my horizon wallet after I sent it a pepe and put it up for sale in an atomic swap
-
-
Yes! Can you please paste the address here.
-
-
@dimesquanderer is the issue lack of explicit support for utxo balances in Horizon?
-
Possibly
-
-
-
here’s what i saw with my atomic. swap yesterday btw
-
Here's what I can put together, not really 100% and I'm sure there will be clearer ways to represent this in the future.
I "sent" the XCP when I binded to a UTXO:
https://explorer.unspendablelabs.com/addresses/bc1quzd34xfep4ap3yl9hddk39g36ftsu9qxcfa0df?msg=sends
When the UTXO was bound this is the address is where the XCP was sent. Then the XCP was sent again when the buyer completed the atomic swap:
https://explorer.unspendablelabs.com/addresses/b59db351707e6e2fc19fd2ba1d9f4fd829df0011f13161e382c1f9eee651dd2f:0?msg=sends
After that, I see it received, but I don't see it sent or swept anywhere and also don't see any balances here
https://explorer.unspendablelabs.com/addresses/b709131823fb78ebb65529c100dc62a243a28347ea851d22db0cf24ec94e5ce1:0?msg=receivesHorizon ExplorerHorizon Explorer by Unspendable Labs
-
yeah, we've got to add explicit support for the utxo stuff to the explorer, but if it crashes the wallet that's a non-starter.
-
Got it, thanks!
-
Thanks for reporting @benchbtc. This is frustrating. Sorry about that.
-
Gonna put down the pk stuff down and look into this.
-
None
-
-
-
-
really appreciate the patience. on it now.
-
(BTW hoping that we can allow you to use your leather/unisat wallet directly in horizon at some point!)
-
yes this is the issue, I will put up a small fix right now.
-
thanks for the quick turnaround. We're adding full utxo support in the next few weeks. It'll be released along with our marketplace.
-
Trezor please sirs 🙏🏻
-
definitely. trezor and ledger to start, then will incrementally add more hw wallets. that industry is pretty fragmented (which is a good thing) so there's just a long tail.
-
I second @ShawnLeary's plea
-
And if it is technically possible either via MPMA or UTXO bound - the holy grail for me would be to have the ability to multi-send from a hardware device.
-
I don't do multi-sends very often, but it was fun to drop a bunch of pepes into a new users wallet just because
-
yeah, not going to be a small project. based on the outcome of the vote seems like desktop wallet is a higher priority for folks so i've prioritized that.
-
Each of these things is a few weeks (Flutter helps with the cross-platform stuff, obviously.)
-
No problem. Just putting it out there
-
we're gonna get to all of it and pretty soon. prioritization just moves things back +/- some number of weeks, generally.
-
Is sweep function going to be added to Horizon somewhere in the future?
-
yep!
-
We could've broke counterparty after the wallets worked right?
-
To my knowledge there is one regression in v10.4.0, which was fixed a few days ago. Unfortunately, because it's a decentralized system, if there's a change to the protocol you can't just upgrade immediately because everyone needs time to upgrade their software. In any case, that upgrade activates on ~Friday.
Beyond that, v10.6.1 was just released (!), which replicates in APIv2 the functionality of MPMA in APIv1. I don't know of any other bugs. Regardless, we are building our wallet as fast as we can. -
The wallet seems pretty nice so far.
I set up a dispenser with it. Maybe grab a few XCP if you like:
https://explorer.unspendablelabs.com/tx/2bf4630ce273ea136c7c44b7dee6fbc12654c2111fa8b8dbde0e982055fead36 -
Should we wait for UTXO support before starting to play with atomic swaps?
-
I mean I think it's great that people are experimenting with atomic swaps! But you do have to be careful about it. With v10.6.1 there is a check to make sure that a UTXO doesn't have a Counterparty asset attached to it, which makes it much, much safer.
-
(The reason we haven't pushed the fix for @benchbtc's issue yet is we were waiting on v10.6.1 precisely for that reason.)
-
Extension first😍
-
Yes.

The fairminter must specify as part of the fairminter deployment that the quantity will be locked after the fairminter closes.
-
if they fail to, they must lock the quantity after the fairminter closes.
-
In the case of FAIRDOG, as you can see here in the fairminter view, the Lock Quantity is set to False: https://explorer.unspendablelabs.com/tx/6f7a1214d60a613e30ea67f7fee1029f90ff2bd05c18e637d2f5d096d20e0b24

One of my fairmints stuck in purgatory as I issued an initial supply sent those to the xcp burn address but made the max mint and mints correlate but now the last mint can’t be made cause of the supply of initial at burn addy. Can’t lock or close it either 🤣 ah well haha
-
So, in this case, is the issue that max_mint_per_tx doesn't divide evenly into hard_cap? We've got a check for that in the wallet when you deploy a fairminter. I've suggested that check be added to the protocol, too.
-
Yep
-
-
-
ugh yeah sorry about that that's so damn annoying.
-
-
-
Fairminters have two points of complexity: (1) tons of customizability (but it often entails minters putting up XCP so we're being very careful about how we expose this in the UI); (2) they interoperate with issuances, so they inherit all of that baggage.
-
IMO worth it because you get to do mints on assets you registered in the past, which I think is going to be really cool when start seeing very old assets get fairminters deployed. But it does add complexity.
-
On a happier note: we've got importing and viewing keys working. Gonna test it tonight and tomorrow. Should be releasing it around mid-day.
-
So FAIRDOG is in a situation where the issuer can increase the quantity after the mint closes, right?
If you are concerned about increasing the quantity, you may need to check the "Lock Quantity".
It might be good if "Lock Quantity" is shown on the screen when minting. Please consider this.
Thanks. -
100% should add this to the UI. We've got a whole fairminterv2 planned, which revolves around making sure that the minter understands the asset they're fairminting. But IMO this should be pushed up priority list and it's easy to do.
-
-
Dispensers working ?
-
According to what I had read yesterday, you could buy from dispensers that did not have a separate closed dispenser. However, today I saw a transaction that had a closed dispenser and someone bought it, but I don't know if that means it will work now with the update.
-
Haha okay Geesh I see money is gone and no asset delivered as of yet ?
-
was the previously closed dispenser for the same asset as the open one?
-
Have to do digging on each purchase I guess into the wallets history ?! Then ?
Seems easy lol -
Hmm I’ll look
-
Atomic swaps what’s the deal there ? Are dispensers going to be just swaps like that now ?
-
In the transaction I saw, yes. However, I don't know if my multi-dispenser currently works. I imagine not. I'm not sure because of so many changes that have happened.
-
-
So can you stop a fairminter
That you started ? Or they just run there coarse
What if you’d like to stop it
I don’t see a button for that ?! -
Or a defined time frame when creating ?
-
Not sure if that would be in the spirit of a "fair mint" if you could arbitrarily stop it.

hi.
What is the derivation path of the wallet created when I add account in horizon wallet?
If exported to unisat wallet,
The first one is m/84'/0'/0'/0/0
The second one is m/84'/0'/0'/0/1
The third one is m/84'/0'/0'/0/2
The first one is fine, but the addresses after the second do not match.
Is the derivation path different? -
Those would be the correct derivation paths for multiple addresses within an account, but If you create a second account in horizon wallet, it will increment the account rather than the address index in the path. So the new account path will be m/84’/0’/1’/0/0
-
I see. I understand. Thanks.
I personally would be happy if the derivation path is displayed under the account name. Please support this if possible. -
I think that’s fair @PeriwigReascends

looks like horizon added ORD: support over the last day or two 🔥 https://explorer.unspendablelabs.com/assets/fdcard
-
was gonna ask if possible to handle onchain assets that start with "iVB" e.g. ccsatoshi, or ones that start with "data:" e.g. "data:image/png;base64"
-
also, going to add the Horizon wallet to the Counterparty Timeline - I usually present the wallets with a few points:
1. when was the wallet released (got Sept 25, 2024 as the start from Github)
2. who developed and is actively developing the wallet
3. what features the wallet has atm (xcp protocol features)
4. what the team plans to incorporate in the future (mobile, desktop, utxo binding, psbt etc)
5. a good description of the wallet in general terms
I can write what I see for those questions, but would love any information you guys would like to be presented before I draft up a description... Usually work closely with the creators so they are expressed in a manner they can be proud of -
Would be nice for ALL involved in that to acknowledge it, and please let me know what I’ve done to harm this culture so I can correct it
-
Rpw supports all image types but yes only images not video atm
-
Gotchya, yeah was gonna edit that but I meant images in general (jpeg was somewhat crypto slang in that sense)
-
With all due respect to @KaneMayfield I can totally understand why the current situation would be frustrating. Stuff not working sucks. What I don't understand is the premise that Counterparty is somehow moving in a direction with disregard for artists. All the improvements serve artists. Once we get past these bumps in the road, the protocol will serve everyone much better. Buyers getting rugged with dispensers does not serve artists. Multi-send failing between txns and costing money does not serve artists. Accidental dispenses does not serve artists. A robust and trustless platform will be a great foundation for artists.
-
Yes just wondered if there are dead ones swinging in the wind
Why not put an end date on them also to keep momentum going too ?! -
There's a difference in telling an artists "it will be good for you and easy in the future"
Vs "it's good for you right now, and heres easy tooling for you to do so" -
Kane has never made a feature request as far as I know
-
Yup, and I'd hate to launch something right now. I've already had to manually intervene with 2 dispensers I had open where the recipient didn't get the token after sending the bitcoin. Totally understand the frustration.
-
Yup pre testing seems like maybe would have been good like with community involvement?! But that’s the past we are here now
-
It’s looking fun
-
Good man
-
Your pepes harmed me. I want recourse
-
I would never suggest that buddy... and like I told you in Charleston. I trust you and im patient.
-
Not artists... artists like me.
-
And to reiterate I stated "im looking for reasons NOT to feel this way"
-
@KaneMayfield it was awesome to hear your perspective today 🙏 in the future please feel free to make any feature requests here! I was banned from the “official” channel so I don’t always get to see what people are looking for in a wallet.
-
Whatever Freewallet offers at this time is what people are looking for in a wallet. (Sweeps, reset token, 10plus addys to choose from, legacy segwit etc etc)
Would be a good idea to browse the FW user manual for functions the community is used to always having at their fingertips
Furthermore for things that we have asked Jdog for that have not yet been added to the wallet you can review the discussions and issues in the FW GitHub.
It would be best to accommodate the tools we rely on FW for if you want community support
And hate to break it to you but 95percent of users will never file a request. They will simply not use Counterparty or use a wallet that offers them what they want -
Freewallet still exists, and maybe it’s the right choice for some people and they have no interest in switching. Feature requests are great for people who want to use Horizon and want to help with prioritization based on their use cases.
-
-
I run them all like I said before rare pepe wallet free wallet and horizon. All have amazing features
I’d love to see a mash up wallet then we would be an absolute juggernaut!
Even add a bit of ninja in there !!
But for now I just run them all with seeds loaded for each of their own unique amazing qualities.
Threw these upgrades I’ve only lost a bit of btc lol. And no assets per se so that’s not too bad considering I don’t know nothing lol 😂
Keep truckin but you should be humble enough to acknowledge what’s awesome with each wallet
Study other industries that’s had consolidation and then a shakedown ! -

Help please -

Yesterday, they said import/export of private keys will be added today.
-
On a happier note: we've got importing and viewing keys working. Gonna test it tonight and tomorrow. Should be releasing it around mid-day.
-
I don't know how highly it should be prioritized, but it would be nice to be able to destroy assets with a memo. (For pixel pals).
-
So now how do you export your private key?
-
I think you could also just plug your 12-word seed into the wallet of your choice and view your private keys from there
-
Working on getting this released along with importing pks. It didn’t happen yesterday unfortunately, it is a big feature but working as fast as possible.
-
-
sup guys
can someone help?
I wanted to transfer money to another wallet, I get this error.
What's wrong? -
Can you please share:
1. Which action you were trying to take? (Sending funds, creating an issuance, opening a dispenser, etc)
2. The address that is throwing this error?
Thanks so much -
Sending funds
bc1qlktskql2wt48729g26rt9ymwq8hk72y8llxnzt -
Great thanks! Will take a look. I have an idea what the issue may be.
-
Okay, thanks, I figured it out.
The problem was that I wanted to withdrawal the address on the taproot -
Got it! You should still be seeing a relevant error message though. I created an issue to look at the error message you saw.
-
-
-
yeah IMO the entire explorer is inverted: what you want is to see network stats + actionable items (orders/fair mints/etc.), and you want to be able to _search_ by message type.
-
We'll be doing this as part of a general redesign in coming weeks.
-
One observation that might be confusing for some users - Different explorers display the total broadcasts differently, because some are showing the total broadcasts and some are showing the total valid broadcasts
-
we're pulling directly from the API but good note!
-
Thanks for that. Will file it.
-
It may be an api v1 versus v2 default behavior thing
-
yep thanks!
-
Okay so any help on how to set an expiration block for fairminters ?
Do I need different tools ?? -
Everyone says it’s an option but it not in horizon that I see ?
-
Ya it’s pretty Bla compared to all the degen stuff on date I say it eth
-
Customizable browser would be the bomb
Investors creators and collectors !! Could be options pre sets -
As I've said, fairminters are tricky and subtle for the _minters_ so we want to think through the workflows before we expose additional functionality in the wallet.
-
Okay but others have said that they set an end block ? How ? Do you know
-
They're either using another service (e.g. @ffmad's) or using the API.
-
I hear using API a lot I assume that means straight coding ?!
-
not necessarily, no. there are tools to make it easier. in any case, we're working on getting this functionality in the wallet asap, just have a huge backlog we're working through.
-
Haha ya I get it giver keep truckin
-
hey guys
-
there are a billion messages here
-
sorry I cant read them all
-
but trying to take my seed phrase from FW and put into Horizon cause my dispenser is AFU
-
But I enterred in the seed phrase words
-
I can sum it up
Devs deving hard and people trolling and asking good questions.
But things are looking up ! -
chose free wallet since I couldnt pick horizon which I thought would be the option but then thought it was prob set to get seed words from freewallet so then it went to create a password
-
Check caps lock Isn’t on I did that !!
-
and that is now stuck in the spinny wheel
-
no caps lock, all lower case
-
so I can't finish setting it up
-
im on safari
-
Dang it that’s the end of my. Knowledge lol 😂
-
Mine worked fine ? But you need techie guys
-
story of my life lol
-
-
-
I selected import from Freewallet
-
I put in the words
-
then it got to create a password
-
I made up a password
-
and now it won't move forward, just a spinny wheel
-
but not the kind made by apple
-
on your cursor, it's one in the middle of the horizon page
-
wouldnt let me cancel, wouldnt go forward, I just refreshed the whole thing in the bar at the top where you type the URL and now it's asking create a new wallet, load seed phrase load master key again
-
-
-
OK
-
-
Did I choose correct? to choose the freewallet but after selecting load seed phrase?
-
is one browser better than another?
-
Can you try selecting the Freewallet / Counterwallet seed type instead of the Freewallet one?
-
that’s what I did originally
-
going to try again
-
or maybe I don’t recall the exact thing
-
what’s the difference between what you just described ?
-
They’re different seed types, I think most people importing from freewallet have this one:
Freewallet / Counterwallet -
that’s what I used
-
but how would I even know
-
if it’s that or bip39?
-
-
so yeah, then i’m wondering if the issue is some content blocking issue with safari @dimesquanderer ?
-
@tatianacoin please try importing as Freewallet / bip39
-
the FW user manual does document this - FW has a choice for either Counterwallet Style or BIP39 when creating the wallet
assuming since Tatiana has been here quite a long time - I am guessing she is using the older Counterwallet style phrase (which was from Counterwallet and has a different set of words than BIP39)
https://davestaxcp.gitbook.io/freewallet.io-user-manual/freewallet-functions/creating-a-wallet -
It sounds like it may not be a valid counterwallet seed. I will make an issue to look into it
-
what does that mean? I generated it from within free wallet
-
I think davesta may be right
-
Correct. When you sign into horizon, please try signing in using the format Freewallet / BIP39
-
though if it was a bip one not sure it would let me go to the next phase of setting a password
-
The counterwallet seeds do not have very good validation, so it may have let you pass. Please try with Freewallet/ bip39.
-
-
@davesta to the rescue
Always swooping in with his hard fought research
You are a gem that is highly undervalued sir !! -
-
@tatianacoin try signing in again with this format. let me know how it goes!
-
its saying invalid seed phrase
-
counterwallet is an option that lets me press continue
-
Okay thank you for trying! Which browser are you using
-
ok so I chose freewallet/counterparty as that was the one it let me use
-
and now I tried to make up my own password
-
OK it worked
-
Okay great 👍🏼
-
funky for no reason but weare in business
-
now to see if I can track down this stuff
-
Glad to hear :) if you don’t mind sharing which browser you used, perhaps I can try to recreate the funkiness.
-
-
well the problem now is that it sees my main wallet
-
but not my other addresses from there
-
and the one that had the dispenser isn't among the choices for wallets at the top
-
under select an address
-
Im ok being patient, I know we are early I just am afraid I am breaking stuff by accident
-
There should be a dropdown of all your addresses on the top of the page
-
If the address is not in that dropdown, do you know if you either added a new address in Freewallet, or imported an address private key?
-
OK
-
So all the wallets in freewallet were made in freewallet
-
I only used one seed phrase basis
-
Yes
-
no importing of funny wallets
-
and of my many addresses I generated in Free wallet
-
a couple have a little bitcoin
-
and they showed up
-
if you added extra addresses in freewallet, then you can add those same addresses in horizon.
-
there is an "Add new address" button in the address dropdown at the top of the page
-
yes I just tried that and not sure thats working in the first place
-
because hold on
-
The thing is, I didn't add any of my multiple addresses to Horizon
-
they autopopulated at the top
-
this one is the outlier not behaving like the others
-
Horizon will generate the same 20 addresses that are generated by Freewallet when you first sign in.
-
yeah its just that one wallet is not populating anywhere
-
I tried to send the Bitcoin out of that wallet a week ago
-
but maybe set the fee to low
-
its still sitting around waiting to be confirmed
-
also I cant see any of my dispensers
-
-
does this change when you select the address from the dropdown that the dispenser is on?
-
-
I mean a particular address in my freewaller
-
I call address 12
-
1LZgQm2BWRkB7BHyGo353ooBoSswkobDdb thats the address
-
it does not populate at the top bar at all
-
there are 22 choices
-
most of my wallets on there are empty in general
-
except for 2 other wallets plus 12 and the original wallet one
-
-
-
the other 2 that work- one has just bitcoin in it and the other has a live dispenser that no one ever bought from cause the dispenser on wallet 12 is still dispensing and active and is a bit cheaper
-
I tried that
-
asks me for my password
-
which I enter and then it makes up a totally new address
-
doesnt let me paste that address I just sent you here 1LZgQm2BWRkB7BHyGo353ooBoSswkobDdb
-
is the issue that on this address, you are expecting to see the dispenser in horizon wallet?
-
no
-
I dont see it at all
-
existing dispensers I can't see, but that's a secondary problem
-
this one just doesnt populate
-
whereas other wallets that have a dispenser ARE options from the drop down change address menu
-
Its like that wallet is MIA
-
okay, the issue is that this address: 1LZgQm2BWRkB7BHyGo353ooBoSswkobDdb
is not appearing in horizon, but it is present in freewallet? -
yes
-
but in freewallet
-
its also AFUY
-
AFU*
-
because the history hasnt been accurate for several weeks
-
is the address present in horizon? or it is just not showing a balance for that address?
-
and when clicking on the TATIANACOIN button in the dispenser, the tokenscan shows no dispenses
-
but it DID send out the TC
-
and it did pay me the money for it
-
the address is not present in horizon at all
-
Meanwhile, that address 12 that's being bad still didn't send my bitcoin out as I was trying to clear stuff out before leaving on my trip
-
but it was being messed up for a couple weeks before that
-
the reason that bitcoin didn't send is because I made the fee too low
-
like a doofus
-
-
but why would that one address be the problem one?
-
and not the other ones generated in free wallet?
-
and the OG address one works perfectly fine
-
do you see this address in the dropdown: 1LZgQm2BWRkB7BHyGo353ooBoSswkobDdb
-
-
no I do not see it in the drop down
-
-
all the additional addresses were already in horizon though
-
So would I have to keep hitting add address?
-
would the work around here simply be to close that dispenser? that would I guess revert the coins back to my possession?
-
I cant type that address in, it just makes new accounts on the left under Account 1
-
-
this can't hurt :)
-
-
they ARE populating into the select an address out of order
-
how many times should I try that?
-
-
cause I tried that and it populated there weirdly and not in the top bar where all the other addresses are
-
ok
-
I found it
-
miracle
-
woohoo
-
wait though stand by still confused w the amount of tc in there
-
-
we are not out of the woods yet, stand by
-
we did make progress
-
Woooho love it when things work out !!
Great interaction.
And helping a mega og @tatianacoin
She’s such a legend in the sport ! -
thanks Cody and everyone for that matter
-
but yeah I need more info from the freewallet and then I can tell what's happening
-
OK so
-
From what I can tell 10/18 ish I had 3 dispenses
-
because 3 transactions came in
-
and I got that money from all indications
-
BUT
-
along w the bitcoin waiting to clear
-
in the meantime, the dispenser has 40,000 originally escrowed, and 26,424 remaining
-
If I just close the dispenser, does it send all the coins back to that wallet?
-
That seems like it may be easiest since the dispenser is being weird in the first place
-
and none of the dispenses are showing anywhere- not in tokenscan or the horizon explorer
-
8000 TC in there belong in there, that's OK and how it should be
-
the bitcoin in there is hanging because I was a cheapo w my fees
-
so really the dispenser and its function is whats messed up
-
I think if 3 people bought TC 2 weeks ago and didnt get it, they would have reached out to me or complained somewhere
-
omg a scammer jdog just tried to trick me jdoegresorg

None

Oooow and fair mint options too
??! -
Not in this release. We're getting there. Will make an announcement when that's ready!
-
Nice
I’m pumped about playing with commissions and stop blocks
Could be a fomo factory like eth is sometimes. With the right metta and asset !! -
Hey Evan so you do any spaces I feel like horizon should do some town hall type of spaces it might be good to hammer some questions through !
-
That's not a bad idea. We'll think about that.
-
In order to import a private key, you'll need to create a wallet, and then select the settings button, as pictured here
-
-
It adds a new address that is derived from the private key that you are importing
-
You will see the new address reflected in the sidebar upon importing :)
-
-
They will remain. You import an address into an existing wallet; the rest of the wallet remains unchanged.
-
here's how the sidebar looks after import.
-
-
I was able to reimport from unisat wallet.
-
great!
-
At some point we'll support importing unisat _seeds_ directly into horizon wallet, but glad that you're able to import specific addresses for now.
-
-
do I need to do anything since mine works on a browser? I never downloaded a desktop type program
-
So the derivation path of the imported address pk does not change, it would not be an m/84 path. the derivation path of your imported address would be the same path as the original address generation
-
nope, you’ll get all updates automatically
-
Is there any benefits to running the Desktop as opposed to the web wallet ??
I’m only using the browser too -
Horizon Desktop doesn’t exist yet, I think evan said it would be ready some time around mid december. Just personal preference for people
-
Right now there's only a web wallet. Next will be an extension, then Desktop. Extension will have v. smooth UX for the upcoming marketplace. I personally like Desktop apps.

ok cool
