FYI, there appear to be no sanity checks on fairmints... I tried to create a tx to "fairmint" 5000.00000000 of MINTS, when the max_mint_per_tx is set to 1000.00000000.... and the CP API generated the transaction without throwing any errors, as one would expect when you try to generate a transaction which ultimately will fail..... in the past, if someoen tries to do a SEND for more than they have in their wallet, or do a SWEEP when they dont have any XCP, the API has sanity checks in place, to throw an error, and prevent the user from generating a tx which will ultimately fail (ie, the user wastes BTC on a tx fee for no reason)....

@BrrrGuy I wasn't aware of any missing sanity checks. I've created an issue to investigate: https://github.com/CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-core/issues/2421Missing Sanity Checks on Fair Mints · Issue #2421 · CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-core

-
I can't speak to that in detail at the moment but in general we have been favoring denormalization of data in the database, and favoring time over space.
-
So it went through without resistance?
-
I don't believe you send me the hash Brrr Guy what does the block say?
-
thank you 🙂
-
-
It doesn't look like minting requires XCP right now.
If XCP were used as a variable gas fee, which would increase during heavy use, it seems like that would be a great deterrent to excessive txs that overload the network. -

just delete your dbs and resync your node from bootstrap
-
takes about 30-45min but it’ll fix the API
-
any way to spin up a counterparty node without running a full bitcoin node locally?
-
So is that the clog right now massive minting ?
Because I can’t move around ? -
the API db is becoming out of sync with the main db due to some parsing issues with fairmints, the node is working just fine except for the API
-
-
Super slow like not working haha but sounds good

Like Walmart giving away free apple phones on black Friday kinda vibes lol 😂

I know where this traffic is happening

ppl be getting wild n spamming API requests like crazy.. thats why tokenscan going up and down... i'm sitting on the servers and they are not overloaded. but cloudflare is fucking with the load balancer n taking site up n down... detecting healthy nodes as non-healthy... will spin up a couple more servers today to help with the load
-
What I don't know is wtf is going on with the dispensers ?
-
Ya can’t set them up right now just click and nothing
-
They're done
-
Looks like each time I try it’s taking the fee hah but nothing happens?

I’ll pause at $7 so far haha it will calm down in a bit I bet ninjas working away

is the setting for the MINTS fairmint just that the only cost is a BTC tx fee?

FYI... unable to use full asset name in fairmints like you can with sends and opening dispensers, etc... gotta use numeric name currently for subassets.... When you guys get a chance, pls update fairmints to support allowing users to specify the full asset name as the asset rather than throwing an error... there is an open mint for PEPEEMBRYO.FAIRSTAMP... but you get an error if you try to mint using that name and instead can only mint if you give the asset name as A95428957052135589

thx for your reply 🙏
but yes, i have this conf but when i saw tokenscan.io explorer, it seems some recent dispensers/dispenses tx have been disappeared ... -
(maybe it is my eyes :D)
-
Seems to be some intermittent problems at least
-
-
right, i see recent tx 💪
-
is it possible to have an issue with the dispenser buy button in FW desktop ? Because i did it twice on 2 XCP dispensers and m y BTC are sent but i didn't receive any XCP ...)
-
it can be a display issue, wait a little
-
freewallet uses public.tokenscan.io for the API, which is on 10.5.0-alpha2... which is supposed to auto-convert normal BTC sends into dispense transaction... so in theory, should be working fine... but if you did 2 sends from within freewallet using public.tokenscan.io and had issues, sounds like maybe that is not the case. the devs will prolly dig into it when they got a lil time 🙂
-
alpha3 seems to be a bit better but still some issues
-
curerntly a frequent sqlite constraint error which a restart fixes. is kind of random and doesn't happen across multiple nodes at the same time
-
FYI... just saw a tx that was generated in freewallet, buying from a dispensers, making an auto-donation, and the dispense triggered fine... Which seems to tell me that Buying from dispensers in freewallet using public.tokenscan.io via a BTC send seem to be working as they are supposed to (request to send BTC auto-converted into new dispense message).
https://tokenscan.io/tx/076a8b998698938373210019f1277b044a86e1096b745258874ecef28fb2c3f9

But how does this call know which asset are you triggering if there are more than one dispenser in this wallet?
-
> curerntly a frequent sqlite constraint error which a restart fixes. is kind of random and doesn't happen across multiple nodes at the same time
Yeah this error message is super obnoxious. It's just relating to duplicate transactions in the mempool. Not consensus-critical. Working on fixing it now. -
The way dispensers were designed, it's always all assets at that address for every dispense.
-
-
-
-
Sounds like it
-
Multiple Dispensers, at the same price, on the same address, will still trigger all
-
Yes, i saw some tx from buy via dispensers worked but for example, my two tx are valid without receiving assets bought :

is it possible that the address used for buying assets from dispenser the problem ? (it is an imported address, not freewallet native)

Yup I had one then I quit until all this craziness passes

yes, on xcp.dev, the stats reflects the reality but not tokenscan.io for ex

but if i tried another buying , i might lost my funds for the thrid time , right ?

i thought you couldn't buy from a dispenser with a raw btc send. it had to go through the compose dispense trx.
this just appears to be a raw btc send without the CP trx anyway. https://mempool.space/tx/f27f7cd4b7fa5637cd59059a99bd5fa1bef7da277df6437374983b5035221905

XCP balance for this address :
- tokenscan.io : 3 xcp
- Horizon explorer : 9 xcp
- xcp.dev : 15 xcp (with those 2 from without OP return tx) -
i tried to send XCP to that addy but .... https://explorer.unspendablelabs.com/tx/179f103ab2e54da3d659f092003ce434dfadcb76736684412d3f5727689acfc8Horizon Explorer
Horizon Explorer by Unspendable Labs
-
If it doesn’t have the op return on the buy from dispenser it’s an invalid purchase on anywhere but xcp.dev. As the indexers get ironed out I would expect tokenscan and horizon to be in sync. It’s a fork off
-
Xcp.dev doesn’t have a marketplace so you can’t really double spend there anyway
-
Ask the dispenser owner to send your bitcorn back or xcp manually is the option
-
Yes, xcp.dev is staying on Counterparty <10 right now, so they’re no longer in consensus with Freewallet/Tokenscan/Horizon suite. Would personally recommend using tools that chose to upgrade.
-
thx for feedback :)

Tokenscan last I heard was on alpha 2. Others are on alpha 3 so there are some oddities which should be aligned hopefully today with a full release from the CP guys.

Looks like the first DEX trade for $MINTS happened. Price 0.006559 USD (35k sold for 24.5 XCP. $XCP price is 9.37 USD on @coingecko rn). This would mean each mint (of 1k) would be worth 6.56 USD and the market cap would be 655,900 USD #counterparty
-
the dex still working
-
how do i get to it?
-
counterparty.io wallet is dead
-
Less than 700K marketcap is low for being the first Fairmint token.
-
Maybe, maybe not.. There were some addresses that minted like 10% of the supply so that doesn't help. They split up now but still
-
Pepefair had more minters and seems to have a better distribution. Probably benefited from APIs and minting services that were up
-
Even so, is still seem low to me. But who knows what will the market dictate.
-
time will tell 🙂 I'm bullish on MINTS myself, but imo it'll take some time

Hello,
I'm playing with the utxo attach function and some questions arises for me.
Should we standardize a value for counterparty utxos?
Should we use 546 like ordinals and runes or would be better to go for another number (eg:547) to avoid confusions and to be able to easy recognize them.
Maybe it doesn't matter very much and is up to the platform that uses it but I believe standardize them is a good practice, want to know your thoughts -
IMO 547 is a good option but is true many wallets has methods to avoid accidental assets spent setted in 546 sats so maybe 546 is a better option

Seems like MPMA sends are broken in the /v2/ API... as the documentation seems to indicate that destination is a single address. Using the /v1/ API I am able to pass an array for destination, asset, quantity, memo, and memo_is_hex... Because the POST request encodes all the params/data using JSON... However in the new /v2/ API endpoint, which requires the use of GET, I am unable to pass an array for these fields.
https://counterpartycore.docs.apiary.io/#/reference/compose/compose-send

it is explained in the whitepaper by Adam:
https://krellenstein.com/adam/get/counterparty-whitepaper_2024-03-29.pdf -
why block a former dev who (just 5 messages earlier) was filing github issues and actively helping identify bugs?
-
-
Everyone can still file issues on github.
-
Not surprised
-
Jeremy’s behavior over the last 10 months has spoken for itself. He banned other people who disagreed with him whenever he had the power to do so also, for a lot less than was tolerated from him.
-
I don’t want to waste my time arguing with him and I definitely don’t want developers to waste their time. He can file issues on github as he sees them.
-
You can keep talking with him in the “Official Counterparty Chat” that has no more counterparty developers left in it.
-
Who did he ban and when?... Banning a guy helping for the good of the community (many issues and bugs with the new update from my viewpoint)
But reasoning of 'he banned ppl' when you're banning him is pretty Saul Alinsky if you ask me... But okay. Just asking questions.... -
I didn’t ban him, I’m just glad he is gone.
-
He banned me from Freewallet
-
He banned me from the freewallet support chat
-
-
Who am I a sock for?
-
Jeremy has like minimum 3 socks lol
-
Not sure why he did that in the FW chat... But even so, how is him gatekeeping his FW support chat equal to banning him from the historical and longstanding xcp chat and dev channels?
Creating a new xcp chat and splintering the community is not going to help in the slightest (just my opinion)... There's already 3 dev public dev chats and now gotta keep up with 2 xcp channels?
I thought he smoothly gave over admin permissions for the xcp chat during the core team switch? -
Nah, he just removed Adam as admin of the official channel, which was what prompted me personally to leave
-
I don’t see a lot of value in an official channel without any developers in it

Hello. I'd like to set up a counterparty testnet node. I followed the doc but in the end of building docker, it showed that:

That should work, can you cd to the directory you made and run pwd?
There's an also an option to override the data directory:
COUNTERPARTY_DOCKER_DATA=/home/vectorconfetti/storage docker compose --profile mainnet up -d -
My counterparty-core is in /data/counterparty-core, that's my working path. And I made ~/.local/share/counterparty-docker-data, so it should in /home/ubuntu/.local/share/counterparty-docker-data/
-
Is that OK?
-
ok, i'm messing around on my machine: i think that mkdir in the instructions may not be needed and possibly the source of the issue?
Can you do this:
rm -r ~/.local/share/counterparty-docker-data
docker compose --profile mainnet up
See if it works?
If it does you can control-c it and then rerun in daemon mode:
docker compose --profile mainnet up -d -
If that's the issue I'll file an issue on github so it gets fixed

Sorry you feel me reporting issues, as requested, on github, and making community members aware of regressions is "games". I hope this issue gets fixed in the next release. 👍️️️️️️

Why can't these orders with matching buying and selling prices be executed?
-
✅✅🕵🏾👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
-
not executed not interested in fiat but order matching YES!
-
Using BTC on the DEX is a pain in the ass because Bitcoin can’t be escrowed by the protocol… the orders can match, but then the buyer has 20 blocks to send the BTC for the order match to execute… the only wallet which supports this is FreeWallet and auto-BTCpay.
This is more of a question for the main counterparty channel as it’s not development related and has been asked an answered many times in the main channel -
any type of blocking order matching is in FACT blocking REAL MONEY!!! #factsoverfiction #not #asking #developers
-
Cool I guess you should inform the Bitcoin developers to change the protocol then… or threatened to sue them like you’ve tried to threaten both Adam and I.
Once again, this is a chat room for developers to talk about developer related things, not sure you exactly qualify Houston🤷🏻♂️ -

Well, I guess rather than address the issue with not being able to send multiple memos in an MPMA as we have for years, the solution is to close my issue, tell me to use the DEPRECIATED v1 API, and talk about how things will be better in the future.

I am sharing this issue here, as I feel it is worth sharing, and it is stopping users from being able to generate dispense transactions to buy from dispensers.
-
hmm, ok, the only thing that's different about your setup versus mine (as far as I can tell from your description) is that the storage location is in the users homedir whereas the install location for the software is not.
is SELinux enabled on your machine? you can check by running ls -Z on files. if it shows a ?, it's not, but if it gives you a security context, then it is. Then you'll probably see that the counterparty software and the counterparty data have two different contexts, and then can't access one another. If you install instead into the home directory, they should both end up with the same security context. -

lol, and now being told it’s my fault CP lost this functionality because I didn’t find bugs in their code months ago. Guess it is the communities job to test new things n find bugs, not the core devs job to make sure they don’t lose functionality… lol… we living in crazytown😜🤷🏻♂️

"You ask for someone to push a button for donations, and if they don't, they cant use the Counterparty... That is a felony"
Your barking up the wrong tree bro... No one is forced to make donations, or misled in any way, before anyone uses FreeWallet, they have to agree that they have seen and read these ADS disclosures, which specifically state :
- ADS is enabled by default on all transactions
- ADS can be disabled entirely
- You DO NOT need to donate in order to use this wallet
Stopped listening once I heard that nonsense... If I was doing anything wrong or illegal, I would have the DOJ and/or Attorney general coming after me... Have never had either say anything, and in fact, they have reached out a couple times to request information on specific users/transactions (which I can not provide, since I collect no user information, and am an open-source non-custodial wallet)... So I'm in good standing with all the appropriate law enforcement agencies, local, state, and federal.
Nice try tho 🤷♂️ -

*** Announcing Counterparty Core v10.6.0 ***
This release includes a protocol change to fix a regression for the case when there have been multiple dispensers opened at a single address. The bug prevents users from triggering dispensers at addresses where there have previously been closed dispensers (rather than simply re-opened dispensers).
This release is a protocol change from mainnet block 868,200 (in about one week).
It also includes a backwards-incompatible change in the API: /v2/addresses/<address>/balances/<asset> and /v2/assets/<asset>/balances/<address> now return a list that may include balances attached to UTXOs of <address>.
This release includes a bugfix for chained UTXO movements within the same block. This bugfix requires an automatic reparse starting from block 867,000. Given the current slowdowns in catching up with the API database, we recommend using counterparty-server bootstrap before restarting your server, but of course you can reparse from scratch to verify. The slowness in reparsing is currently being addressed.
*NOTE*: All wallets should use the compose_dispense() call to trigger dispenses rather than the legacy create_send(). Due to the above bug, using create_send() can make it possible for users to send BTC to an address where the dispenser will fail. All node hosts should migrate to compose_dispense() ASAP.

the settings for my account in the "official chat" are muted so I can't send any messages, but if someone else can forward there, that would be great
-
Hey, I’ve just fixed your permissions
-
@Niftyboss1 can you fix mine as well?
-
Sure!
Done -
Yep... thats what happens when you rage-quit the channel... the come back and join and immediately post some large post with links... the bots meant to prevent abuse and spam kick in and auto-delete your messages... Maybe consider sticking around n not just joining when you want to post something and then leaving again... or you'll continue to have the same issues... Same problem happened for both you and Dime... both quit in solidarity with adam... then both re-joined and got limited by the anti-spam bots automatically.
-
-
Posting the screenshot so it is clear it was the bots that did this, and not some personal "muting" of your accounts... your actions caused the automatic censoring of your messages by a anti-spam bot

LOL... so the instructions say you can download the bootstrap to avoid a reparse... and yet, even after downloading the bootstrap a rollback is triggered and reparse required..... Guess someone forgot to update the version number in their database to 10.6 before releasing the bootstrap.... Something that would have been caught, if testing was done... but what do I know 😂️️️️️️

Hi Jeremy,
Thank you for raising this issue.
It appears that you did not upgrade from 10.5.0 to 10.6.0, so the software is seeing that it has a database version with 10.6.0 and you're running a local version of 10.5.0.
See this line of code.
Best of luck with the upgrade.
https://github.com/CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-core/blob/2521b0b111d45803f3e3bb7e4a3f0261c5333ccd/counterparty-core/counterpartycore/lib/check.py#L1055counterparty-core/counterparty-core/counterpartycore/lib/check.py at 2521b0b111d45803f3e3bb7e4a3f0261c5333ccd · CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-coreCounterparty Protocol Reference Implementation. LOL.... so the standard git pull and docker compose stop counterparty-core and docker compose --profile mainnet up -d didn't upgrade the code to 10.6? lovely... Also, you do a full reparse on every database mismatch, even if the database version is NEWER than the running version? makes total sense.. lol
-
My upgrade went smoothly, here's what it looks like:
Can you confirm the version print out at the start of the run says 10.6? -
Here ya go bro
-
-
Looks like you're running 10.5.0, so you did not successfully complete the upgrade.
-
As you can see.. I stop all the dockers... do git pull which shows that i'm already on the latest version.. then bring up the mainnet (as the upgrade instructions say)... and PRESTO.. still on 10.5
-
so, who is at fault? me? I am following the upgrade instructions on the site
-
-
I can see one difference - you're running mainnet down instead of stop
-
awight... down takes down the whole network and all running dockers... how is that different behavior than stop on an individual component?
-
same exact story when doing "stop"
-
-
-
Can you show me the output of git log?
-
command to do that? I run Tower for git management generally, not command line tools.
-
ah ok:
git log -
not sure if you have the command line tools installed, but i guess so if the git pulls are working
-
-
yes I have command line tools installed, just dont view logs that way... but here ya go... according to what I see, it says the repo is on 10.6... get I have not seen the docker pull new images like upgrades in the past ... just start up and pull the bootstrap
-
OK, so the 10.6 version is there.
I'm wondering if the down command never quite finished?
I see some lines where it says "resource still in use". -
but I ran the stop command and it worked 🤷️️️️
-
gonna just do a docker prune containers and prune all non-running containers n see if that resolves
-
Sounds good, it does seem to have gotten into a messed up state
-
if that doesn't work, when you run stop can you confirm there's no running counterparty-core?
ps -aef | grep counterparty
should give nothing. Then hopefully there isn't some mystery copy of the code somewhere that's still 10.5. -
-
sane story after pruning containers... no image pulls
-
hmm, could also do a fresh checkout of the code - just as long as your storage area isn't in your counterparty-core directory.
-
-
looks like was still a counterparty-server instance running even tho all containers were stopped... WTF?
-
yeah i was concerned about that because of this:
-
-
that was because I still had testnet running... I shut it down right after that command and it shut down the newtork
-
hmmm
-
newway... that counterpart-server instance I just killed was from the instance I had just spun up
-
-
just did same thing... shut down everything.. made sure not counterparty processes running.. brought network back up via docker compose --profile mainnet up -d ... still on 10.5
-
Anyone else other than @vectorconfetti running 10.6?
-
also FYI.. the official install instructions need to be updated... they say to do git clone via git@ .... which can fail if the user has not setup git properly
-
-
CHANGE
git clone git@github.com:CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-core.git
cd counterparty-core

git clone https://github.com/CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-core.git
cd counterparty-coreGitHub - CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-core: Counterparty Protocol Reference ImplementationCounterparty Protocol Reference Implementation. Contribute to CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-core development by creating an account on GitHub.
-
clone via normal http request
-
-
great
-
so fresh clone did it?
-
NOW after blowing away the repo and re-cloning it, its pulling images
-
yes.. seems so.. thx for the help
-
good, yeah, I was just trying that on my own machine to confirm it wasn't gonna mess anything up before I recommmended it
-
but glad it all went well
-
10.6 running after?
-
also pls update the install docs... and prolly should change the version check to not trigger a rollback/reparse if database MINOR version is greater than parser MINOR version
-
-
Sorry I was confused about the database version not being updated when in fact, it was my parser which was not on 10.6... my mistake in that instance.
-
no worries. gotta go right now but I'll put issues in tomorrow

As I said before 10.8 is gonna be fantastic haha

🚨 Announcement 🚨
Last week the protocol change in Counterparty Core v10.4.0 finally activated, bringing numerous upgrades to the Counterparty protocol including Fair Minting support, UTXO support, Atomic Swaps, etc. Details may be found in this blog post: https://www.counterparty.io/news/counterparty-development-update-counterparty-2-0/
While the vast majority of the community has of course upgraded to this new version, a couple of entities have not:
* xcp.dev seems to not be upgrading
* xcp.ninja and stamped.ninja haven't upgraded, but they have published a banner on the latter site suggesting that they soon will
* J-Dog has announced he's going to support both the current Counterparty protocol and old one on some combination of tokenscan/freewallet/xchain/whatever
All users are *strongly* recommended not to use any of these tools. If you do, *you could accidentally lose your Counterparty assets*, because the forks haven't implemented any replay protection. A list of alternative Counterparty wallets, explorers, marketplaces etc. may be found on the official website (https://www.counterparty.io). If and only if you stick with these tools, your funds are not at risk. -
FreeWallet is safe been using it all day
Jdog has that up to snuff -
Use it at your own risk!
-
And yet, "official" website is being used as a weapon
-
-
Adam is a protocol developer who knows what he is talking about. You can see further information on the exact scenario where you will lose funds in @counterpartygeneral.
-
This is nonsense. Had the core devs done better testing and made sure shit works as it was promised, we woudn't be here... blame me all you want bro.. I dont take it personal, and am moving forward with supporting both ledgers.
-
I am the former protocol developer, and I know what I am talking about.. and have created github issues to report problems which Adam and his team of devs have failed to find and fix before release.... but this back and forth is pointless and just wasting time from the inevitable.. back to coding.
-
Adam and Evan are the creators of Counterparty and wrote the vast majority of the code base.
-
Yes, then they bailed for the last 9 years, where John, Devon, Javier, and myself have maintained it, and wrote additional features which happened to become the most primary used features (dispensers).... yet, upon return, the devs decided to focus on ripping out these features rather than just focusing on adding additional functionality (we still have addrindexrs, and you guys have new features, but have crippled dispensers)
-
Anyway, spin it however you want, this was all avoidable... I didn't create the fork, the lack of testing to make sure all worked as promised did, all I am doing is showing users both versions of the ledgers and allowing them to interact with the version they want
-
No worries, enjoy.
-
You prolly should get on that replay protection bro 🤷️️️️️️ Change the PREFIX to 0x00 😘️️️️️️
-
I am sure you have a lot of awesome stuff to write.
-
willdo 🙂 In a good state... thanks for your help yesterday helping me stand up the 10.6 instance, appreciate it 🙂
-
Thanks, unfortunately I had to stop working on xchain-indexer for the last 2 weeks to try and keep my stuff running on "Counterparty 2.0"... once I release both versions, looking forward to going back to working on my own stuff and not having to engage with teh core devs anymore, like I have enjoyed doing for the last few months.... the silence was peaceful 🙂
-
Jdog deleted the link to the chat where you can actually find out more about what is going on the “official chat” and muted me for a week, but other folks can share it:
@counterpartygeneral
So people can learn more in dialogue with the developers of counterparty. -
Someone is asking where it was posted because it was censored.
-
There’s also other goodies like ongoing tool development by a bunch of other developers outside of the core team. Recommend it
-
it has been posted in adams last comment, and I told ppl that I removed your repeated spam posting... and told them EXACTLY how to find a link to your channel...don't blame me cuz not many ppl have choosen to join your channel... the link is still in the channel
-
I am sure you’ll have no problem replying to the person who is asking where the announcement is posted, then!
-
There are other admins in the channel that can easily verify your claims via "Recent Actions"... the only thing that I have removed is your repeated spam attempts
-
Cool, no rush. I’ll wait
-
The announcement is still posted in the channel bro... scroll up
-
Where is the link to counterparty general? it was linked before and after the forwarded comment.
-
Those messages magically vanished after you muted me.
-
Yes, I removed your repeated spamming of your channel links and announcements... again, ANY admin in the channel can verify exactly what was removed via "Recent Actions"
-
Cool, why is someone asking for a channel link? Maybe you’ll answer their question.
-
If not, we can assume you’re trying to prevent people from finding the channel
-
Thanks for sharing!
-
Check the chat.. Happy to provide the link, and I never removed it from adams original post... as I said both here and in the main channel... but, wont tollerate repeated spamming of ANNOUNCEMENTS or the channel link 👍️️️️️️
-
Don’t worry, i can’t interrupt your 1000 word monologues where you talk about how oppressed you are anymore. The floor is yours, just the way you like it.
-
it’s a safe space for you
-
Might seem to you and some others like this is some battle, to me it is not really that way... still happy to have Adam in teh Channel and have admin powers, when he re-joined earlier this week I gave him back admin powers... Only thing is, dont want to be kicked and muted and gaslight like I have been... someone needs to be able to hold ppl accountable... If I was going over the line in asking questions about VC funding and transparency, I think ppl in the channel like @hodlencoinfield @jp_janssen would have called that type of bad behavior out.
-
Neway... wasting too much time typing, got work to do... talk soon 🙂
-
Basically, encouraging users to use the old version chain without stating very clearly that if they do, it is possible for them to lose their assets forever on the main chain, is very irresponsible, which is why this is a huge deal. It’s not just a matter of preference. People can and will lose money.
-
If people choose to stop running the old chain (which, as of now only Jeremy and Juan have committed to long term support of the old chain), then those assets will be lost forever, as they are not present on the new chain and the old chain has ceased to exist. As Niftyboss1 said in the other channel, pretty much every other major service has upgraded.
-
It should make you suspicious that Jeremy is muting people that might share this information
-
No one has stated anything about using the old version... the current version of FreeWallet is on Counterparty 2.0 (10.6)... and I have said multiple times when I put out support for both ledgers, it will be very clear what version your viewing/using.... YOU and Adam and team are jumping to conclusions about things, and jumping the gun, calling my explorer and wallets unsafe, before I have relased anything in support of multiple ledgers... the Bias towards your own tools is clear
-
He muted DimeSquanderer who didn’t even share anything to the channel.
-
So it’s not a matter of spam. It’s a matter of controlling the narrative
-
lol... I explained this, I muted both you and Dime.... after you rage-quit, then came back just to spam your "ANNOUNCEMENTS"
-
Yep... thats what happens when you rage-quit the channel... the come back and join and immediately post some large post with links... the bots meant to prevent abuse and spam kick in and auto-delete your messages... Maybe consider sticking around n not just joining when you want to post something and then leaving again... or you'll continue to have the same issues... Same problem happened for both you and Dime... both quit in solidarity with adam... then both re-joined and got limited by the anti-spam bots automatically.
-
-
Enough with the lame characters assasinations... they get real old bro.... grow up... you wanted link shared in channel, it was.. you wanted announement posted in channel, it was... no one is censoring/hiding shit... simply stopping you from spamming channel
-
Jeremy always has to have the last word, with a huge block of text or a chain of gifs or a screenshot to make sure people can’t easily see what was shared earlier in the chat.
-
You have been allowed to share any "ANNOUNCEMENTS" at least once, only thing being deleted is your repeated spamming of the same information... link to your new channel has been shared, dont blame me if the mass migration to your channel is not happening... would be best if Adam came back and just participated rather than being a thin-skinned dev and running off to his own channel... but it is what it is
-
lol, this is really rich coming from you bro!
-
just correcting your false information that your being censored... and pointing out that links that you want shared HAVE been shared... stop the unnecessary drama
-
-
Yep, I will keep providing technical support to people that need it, like Jeremy and others trying to run nodes.

Oh wow !

Im not sure thats entirely true looks like FreeWallet is keeping up to date with at least most of the things I see on horizon
I’ve been running both in tandem since 865995
Almost all my transactions with screenshots and screen recording. I felt it was a great time to document. -
I did a bunch with rare pepe wallet too just to see comparison when I was out and about it’s still the king of mobile all day long
go Joe for sure !
It’s easy to mint an asset if a certain name hits you. Know -
@codythecampbell you are a good 🥚

Do yourself a favour and get some $bald before the rush 🤣🤣🙏

It appears that version 9.61.3 is no longer functional and has encountered an exception.
-
-
That's what I had quite often when trying to run the previous 9 version. It just doesn't work
-
If I update to the 10 version, will the original Bitcoin block files in the fednode still be usable?
-
I've noticed some discrepancies in the total number of broadcasts - not sure why:
As of height 867915:
API v2: 87,123 v10.6
HORIZON: 87,123 v10.6
XCP.IO: 107,040 v10.6
TOKENSCAN: 107,018 v10.6 -
You can definitely hook 10.6.1 up to an existing bitcoin instance but it takes more work than just starting fresh.
There’s a very easy to set up dockerized install, just a few commands.
Then there’s instructions for manual install, which would allow you to run bitcoind separately from the rest of the stack, but is more complicated.
https://docs.counterparty.io/docs/basics/getting-started/Getting Started | CounterpartyInstall Counterparty Core
-
Hmm curious
-
Idk if you did resolved but you can resume it yes, just point the volume to there in the docker-compose file
-
Can you share the V2 API call for check it so I can check my node?

Hi so I just set up some xcp minty treats and ya there is no option to set an end date ?!
Is that because it’s a seed phrase wallet from. Rare Pepe?
Or why
It has a proposed start block but no end date ? -
Almost no options for setting it up
Max mint amount and total supply that’s it ? -
you can set up an ending block on fairminters
-
Supercool one sir
-
Hahah ya but i wasn’t able to set an end date I wanted it to be midnight on Halloween
No such button exists in my horizon wallet !!! -
I’ll take this to that chat
