Three years ago, we funded JDog to upgrade things. We got very little changes, except for a couple things he wanted most.

Instead of improving his mobile wallet (#1 requested thing), he ended up breaking Counterwallet, which people relied on from their phones.

Tough to make changes to the protocol without consensus🤷 much easier now to push changes into protocol cuz devs just push what they want n don’t really consult with community first. “Consensus” now is just “we want this feature, if you didn’t object on github where only devs comment, then you consent”

Very different from how a community driven project is run. But, that’s my opinion. I had lots of stuff I wanted to add to the protocol, but didn’t feel it was appropriate to make CP my personal project n add features without community demand and consensus that the features were an improvement.

Not looking to argue (too much of that already) but feel it is important to note that my dev approach is very different than the core devs in control of the project now.

Not really entirely different at all. Youre just manufacturing a narrative to put on them that has been build up against you for years. You are literally using all the verbiage that people have to criticize you, but repackaging it at someone else, like some kind of great deflection

Counterparty doesn’t really have a consensus mechanism either. I’ve been thinking a lot about this lately and would like to have a good conversation about it sometime.
