No a minimal quality should be enforced even though it's obviously subjective. Having a filter mechanim in place prevents having loads of crappy cards like most of the Counterparty projects end up with.

Do you feel like the foundation should decide what should and shouldn’t be considered dank? Do you feel a steady stream of cards or only a few “high effort” cards should be released?

I don't think any of us are really qualified to be the judges of what is and isn't good style, since it is subjective, but we can be filters to weed out the lowest tier submissions.

For me it's all about making effort. A copy and paste job is not good enough regardless of what it looks like. Some effort needs to have been made to make it into what the artist intends.

That's what'll get my vote. Re: releasing lots of cards or few cards - I don't think it makes sense to set some quota. It should depend on how many good cards are getting submitted. If there's a strong supply of new cards, it makes sense to cherry pick the best.

I guess my philosophy in a nutshell is better to err on the side of releasing fewer, better cards.
