made some physical cards for pepe and bitcorn
-
My whole wallet will be a key automatically stored and protected in a safe deposit box in case you lose it
-
This is why you need to invest your 8k xcp in CROPS
-
Right - inherent law in the CP system, address reuse is coerced. The only alternative is to keep moving your collections around and that's cost prohibitive.
-
yes if all works out
-
No one wants to worry about losing their key.
-
Why would anyone trust you to have a copy of their private key?
-
Why wouldn’t they is a better question
-
automatically stored in a safe deposit box? sounds like magic
-
-
That goes against the whole idea of cryptocurrency.
-
-
How can I buy a pack?
-
gone
-
maybe someone on here would sell one
-
-
If I want to use a counterparty (no pun intended) to reduce risk I'll use an FDIC insured bank, not some dumbass on the internet.
-
you working on a second run of cards at all?
-
yes
-
That’s your choice.
-
There are good ways to avoid that risk - giving someone else your private kkey is not one of them.
-
thats gunna be a no for me dog. gunna hold onto my unopened one until the SFMOMA wants to buy it from me
-
Learn about cryptocurrency man, there are great ways to mitigate risk.
-
Low blow 😂
-
No it's not, you holding people's keys is fucking stupid.
-
Will see brah
-
I’ll buy some cards if someone wants to sell
-
Where your keys stored brah? In a bank? And safe deposit boxes are not fdic insured my friend.
-
No I dont like banks, thus my fascination with cryptocurrency.
-
So no safe deposit box?
-
-
Why?
-
-
-
these are rich people problems...sometimes its good to be so poor

Safe Deposit Boxes Aren’t Safe (Published 2019)
When Philip Poniz opened Box 105 at his local Wells Fargo, he discovered it was empty — and that he was totally unprotected by federal law.
-
-
An article from this past week
-
Again, it will happen
-
-
-
-
Than the bank realizing which of their clients hold Bitcoin when they start to go bellyup?
-
-
Belly up what? They do not get safe contents
-
Reducing the security issue to physical security is a good idea in general. But there are plenty ofother mitigating strategies for reducing risk without relying on a counterparty.
-
I’ll stick with my method. And if you want to get real secure, you can use multiple safe deposit boxes across different banks that only contain partially keys
-
-
Safety deposit boxes are physical security, I wasn't criticizing it.
-
-
You have been since I mentioned it 😂
-
I doubt that you know how to break up keys in pieces though, judging from your general ignorance about cryptocurrency.
-
nope
-
Bro you are a troll
-
-
No, you failed to read and understand. Reducing to the physical security domain is always safer.
-
What’s a better way besides a bank safe deposit box then?
-
Physical security has been well understood for thousands of years, there are lots of ways to do it well. Read a little and troll less - you'll discover there are many great ways to do this.
-
People have been talking about securing bitcoin online for years.
-
😂 I asked for an example, not read the internet.
-
so the way these work, its not intended for somoene to use as their personal wallet. you scan the QR, confirm the asset is there, scratch to private key, redeem to your own wallet
-
Safe deposit box is not bad, as I said before. I don't like it because it you're depending on a counterparty when there's no need to.
-
Private key could be stolen how many times in the process?
-
btw, whoever has this card also has a nice starter farm with CROPS, BITCORN, BILLYBUCKS, BITPAPER, BITROCK, BITSALTS, BITSCISSORS for whenever or if ever its redeemed
-
if the code is unscratched, only i would theoretically have the pass phrase (but i didnt keep them)
-
What about the printer?
-
the printer doesnt print the phrase
-
This is why I need to do everything offline
-
What about an adversary intercepting traffic between you and the printer? Or malware on the printers machines waiting to find someone printing private keys?
-
What about malware running on your machine?
-
I will never put computer online and use a hardwire connection?
-
the printer never has or sees the phrase...i guess i could have wiruses though that seems unlikely
-
How can the printer print the cards without ever having access to the seed phrase?
-
they dont print that part, its just a white box
-
You write the seed phrases onto the cards after printing?
-
printed on after
-
Impressive! Then you have some way to cover them with scratchoff yourself?
-
yes, they dont come like that
-
You're a badass!
-
thats why i do so few...its a lot of work
-
Your cards are the dankest shit around in physical bitcorns stuff too.
-
🙏
-
OMG no wonder it took months to get those amazing harvest 1 cards.
-
I cherish mine, and NO I'm not selling.
-
Ever notice how those cards never make it onto the DEX?
-
People sell pretty much everything else but not those.
-
Who would scratch it
-
-
-
I might do 1 just to see.
-
Google it
-
I opened one pack of harvest one cards ebcause I had to see. They're too nice not to enjoy.
-
i think the cats out but the new series is to be called WINTERS END
-
does it cover specific harvests?
-
some theme?
-
Whoa im like 💯 messages behind today
-
Couple quick comments:
- Counterwallet will let you generate up to 20 addresses per wallet. That’s a Counterwallet imposed cap, not a hd wallet cap.
- If multiasset send were live, you could more easily do bitcoin-style single use addresses. Where when you perform a send you send the rest of your balance as change to one or many addresses you control. -
I need to review my pack. Did everyone have scratch off?
-
👊
-
multiasset sends desperately needed, it's cost prohibitive to move your assets around now
-
What is going on with this? I thought this was completed?
-
2 weeks
-
Buying Roger’s farm will be quite the operation to move all of those cards individually.
-
Same issue with the "rob this farm" contest farms. I had to put a little BTC because whoever solves one of these REALLY needs to move them to another farm, since I know the seed phrases.
-
But as I add more cards, and as BTC price moves higher it's not enough.
-
Rob this farm?
-
Dan what happened to that bearded guy?
-
I thought o was the only one!
-
I like when @mightbemike rants on security. I wish I was better at it
-
Also house burning down scenario is probably easiest thing to mitigate. Stamp it into steel...
-
No
-
Lottery card
-
There were 4 I think of all the packs
-
The booster box had 2
-
Oh it's pretty easy. Get up on the wrong side of the bed, have a major appliance break and come online to let off steam - the rant just comes naturally.
-
OMG I am so tempted to open this unopened pack now....
-
Mike what if I told you I stored my seed on google drive... go
-
-
What if it’s stored on google drive but encrypted with Rob this Farm technology?
-
Pretty secure so far
-
Be sure to send a gmail with your Bitcoin address to someone so their AI knows what address to use that seed phrase on. Make their lives easier so they'll be kind to us when they take over the Earth right?
-
This is how it starts. The AI systems gain money and power by taking over Bitcorn farmers accounts and they use it to bribe the politicians into letting them run things.
-
And the farmers don't mind, since the politicians were doing such a bad job anyway.
-
Or maybe @droplister is really the AI trying to take over the world with this innocent looking game of Bitcorns.
-
It starts slowly, then when the critical threshold is met - worldwide DAAB

-
Reeelax I just wanted to trigger mike and it worked

I would like to hear their thoughts on rob-this-farm encryption as a means of pass phrase security as well
-
-
Guys I am telling everyone in this stadium about bitcorn
-
The bartenders are not accepting bitcorn or bitcoin
-
Even Ethereum and EOS don’t tempt Them
-
What’re they living in the Stone Age?
-
“Hey Earl! You herd bout them COMP YOU TORS? This guy is trying to pay me with a COMP YOU TOUR”
-
-
this is my new COMP YOU TOUR background
-
I asked about deposit boxes. Funny enough, one of the sponsors provides insurance this. The one good idea that was given though was, create a wallet that is unencrypted that stores very little to create a signal that your security box has been compromised.
-
know what time it is? TIME FOR CORNBREAD!
-
-
reckon this one's made right - in a cast iron skillet y'all
-
didn't get washed out after fryin bacon, just got wiped and cooked the bread straight away
-
that's some fine vittles there y'all
-
-
I would be the one who gets a 404 right?
-
do you have your 26-digit survey code?
-
ATL area code
-
That’s cool, I suppose we are all participating in this practice with our Counterparty wallets. (Except this is slowly becoming my most valuable wallet)
-
Hard to say huh
-
I like what we do here I think whatever you thnk about Counterparty we out herr
-
veracrypt*
-
Hey @FloridaBitcoiner wen CORNBREAD card for contest?
-
Personally, I think Bitcorns breathed new life into a dying Counterparty ecosystem. Rarepepes had shut down, progress on the codebase was stagnating and Counterparty was losing steam fast wth no new nothing going on. CORNgrats Dan, you rescued our poor, retched souls. 🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽
-
I didn’t do fuck all
-
-
-
‘splain?
-
what dat is?
-
hahaha, nvm bad memory I have 🤣
-
Not that I have any idea how to make cornbread look sexy enuff to make a nice card...
-
Now I’ve been thinking about it all night
-
-
-
Which?
-
I think game devs are drastically overestimating how much value NFTs are actually going to bring to the gaming space. But I'm not going to rant about it here because I'm rate limiting myself to one rant day per week
-
But yeah if Fred wants a farm, I'll chip in!
-
-
People spend a fuckton on skins that have no impact on the game. There’s a decent secondary market for this if you just go to eBay and look up OG Fortnite Skins, you’ll find auctions with bids for several hundred dollars.
-
In the Netflix show, How to Sell Drugs Online (fast), the two kids were originally pitching this idea before selling ecstasy instead
-
-
-
Yeah no argument there, it's a ton of money involved. I read the WoW economy was several times larger than that of Venezuela.
-
It’s possible the virtual world economy might surpass the global economy of real goods one day.
-
I have more virtual money than “real” money
-
Easy to do when broke, but it’ll become a norm
-
CS:GO knife anyone?
-
Like mafia wars
-
-
No that's the silly part. For you to be able to carry a sword from game to game means a lot of things that diminish the experience. For one thing a standard has to emerge that all the participating games need to adhere to.
-
Also to get wider compatibility they're going to need to be similar kinds of games built on similar platforms using similar tools.
-
So maybe it's great for 845 different shooter games (that all look the same), but it won't be relevant for bitcorns unless the dev goes way out of his way to write custom code to support it (on Ethereum)
-
-
What was the last weekly update on rare Pepe party?
-
Why would a game dev want to let you port in an external asset. Vs buying one from them?
-
Mafia Wars
-
Why wouldn’t you is a better question
-
Indeed - not saying blockchain-based assets have no value add, just saying these folks are really overestimating the impact. Just like they went nuts about getting rid of the backend server and replacing it with blockchains. That doesn't work well and makes no sense.
-
-
"blockchain all teh things"
-
he quit working on that, no?
-
This is awesome what is this?
-
I did that with the private keys for field of dreams too
-
This brings economy
-
Same reason the movie theater doesn’t allow outside food or drinks
-
@droplister would have some good insight on this, being a game cre8tor.
-
What’s the question?
-
I only know how to cre8 shitty games
-
Well you stole the Mafia Wars idea but otherwise you're our expert in the space.
-
BLockchain based assets. They'd be transferrable between games, but probably only on the same blockchain/sidechains. The idea is develop standards in the same way Ethereum token standards emerged in the form of ERC*
-
SO you could count on the same kind of "transfer" and "sell" function calls on another game's smart contracts.
-
-
That’s why I like Hazama idea since the tokens are verified on the chain and exportable if you want, but transfer and send costs should basically be zero with no imposed limits
-
-
Like that, great comment
-
Dan what about the passphrase. Is the reason counterwallet uses a passphrase is to store multiple btc addresses in a single wallet?
-
It’s for science ya
-
-
sounds like some battle game I heard about
-
It's not quite the same thing tho. They're talking about creating standards for knowing about functions to call and properties to expect in these assets.
-
It's not dumb. You can buy a hat for your cryptokitty and your etherpepe can wear it too.

Basically, you send a letter to SEC saying, these tokens aren't securities, here's why, take no action, and you hope to get a positive response from them saying they won't.
-
Ok update time:
- everything has been ported to a new engine that's giving us a lot of more freedom, fortunately porting what was already done was very straightforward
- the current game rules are going to include a lot of modes of play, we're including a lot of very casual gameplay so everyone can get to enjoy RPP at their place. We're not releasing info on this yet as we think it will give us a very good edge against any other blockchain gaming offer out there.
- the deck builder has been modified to support cards outside of the rarepepedirectory, although game servers will dictate what they support and don't (and the official ones will be Pepe only stuff)
- the current architecture has been designed to not depend on any central server: we're currently using one simple irc relay to serve as coordinator, and then the clients connect to their preferred server. UPnP punchthrough will enable everyone to host game servers not unlike bitcoind et. al. do with their peers
- the game engine currently in use has a very good support for modability, everyone will love hacking through the public API after release to create funky stuff in-game -
Update there from today
-
-
But what if they are? What do you do then?

-
Lmao I own over 5,000 assets
-
-
-
-
-
-
Ha No that’s going to be like $5,000,000 in 5 years
-
That's correct, you need a minimum of 0.00038 or something like that, and if XCP is $5k in 5 years, Roger's farm will be worth at least $100 million

Look, drake said it best:

Just buy someone out with BITCORN

wheeler does it all the time

But in reverse
-
I think we can work out a deal on kaleidoscope ceo
-
I also think we can just start calling ourselves the official xcp chat and official foundation
-
I’ll settle for a new profile pic
-
Since “no one needs XCP” it must have no users. Making the BITCORN constituency much larger.

I can't think of a better secret codeword than "corn," the most grown crop in the United States. I'm pretty confident people who work in intelligence choose code words that are so common that they're frequently used in a non-coded context.
-
-
I found a game that’s better than Bitcorn. It’s called the Royal Game of Ur. And it’s decent.
-
It’s super easy rules but it’s got interesting strategy
-
One side is mine, one side is yours, the middle is the war zone. And the idea is to start on one side of the indent, go around, and come off the board on the other side.
-
You can knock off opponent in the war zone. Rosette spaces you can roll again. And the middle rosette you can’t get knocked off of.
-
So you travel in like a C shape
-
"the game acquired spiritual significance, and events in the game were believed to reflect a player's future and convey messages from deities or other supernatural beings"
-
reminds me of backgammon
-
Ya, it’s like backgammon but simpler
-
Dates back 5,000 years to Mesopotamia
-
Ya I watched a YouTube video of it and bought it on Etsy

Tom Scott vs Irving Finkel: The Royal Game of Ur | PLAYTHROUGH | International Tabletop Day 2017
YouTuber Tom Scott has flown drones through lightning, he’s taken on the first human-powered theme park, he’s even visited Penistone. But he’s never taken on a British Museum curator in the world’s oldest playable board game… UNTIL NOW! For International Tabletop Day 2017, Tom Scott was challenged by British Museum Curator Irving Finkel to a round of the oldest playable board game in the world – The Royal Game of Ur – a game whose rules were rediscovered and deciphered by Irving himself.
