YUSSSSSs
-
Not finished yet, but here's a progress pic
-
very noice.
-
I especially like happy cow. and tractor Dorian
-
Thank you
-
the colour is real bright, I like the 'feel' it has.
-
I think I'm going to give the happy cow corn horns
-
horny for corn
-
It's just a happy little farm
-
-
dats mine.
-
Bitcoin hell is nearly over, I might brighten up soon.
-
Nice corn silo
-
Jolly green giant is a nice touch too, can't believe I didn't think of that one
-
moisture is all well and dandy when you grow, but need that silo to keep the mad gRainz in good condition post harvest.
-
-
Noice
-
cool
-
some great stuff in there, including a bit of a CORNSPIRACY theme in the sky to the left. I think it needs more Chevy truck in it though.
-
so moist
-
That layer is labeled cornye
-
I think so too
-
funny:)
-
wow!
-
Looks super kewl. Wonder what the burning thing in the background is. Burning man? Corncombine accident?
-
Maybe a CORNETHANOL party gone bad
-
Wizard of Oz
-
Oops I meant this
-
those are the wildest parties I've ever seen. I once saw a guy torched on CORNETHANOL swan dive off the roof into the blades of a CORNCOMBINE. never saw him again
-
VERY NICE!
-
Also beautiful!
-
lmao awesome
-
hahaha
-
I need to update soon, times are moving on.

Is there specs somewhere on how to make your farm picture?
-
I need to do mine.

1600x900 pixels. (Maximum: 2.5 MB)

😂😂😂

Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, Dan says work now. Love that cheat code😀

No requirements on content or borders (other than it’s not porn)?

Nice truck, Truck
-
Right in the middle
-
looks like a bunch of cool bitcorn assets were listed on the DEX if you've been looking for CORNCOMBINE, CORNETHANOL, or CORNSPIRACY. This may(or may not) be your last chance.
-
Can you quantify the level of your emotions in the form of a bitcorn amount?
-
We need truck to make cards I think - diggin the style
-
When is the next debut sale out card?
-
-
Oooh I have one in queue too I reckon I’m last lel
-
The dankometer is harsh tool
-
Stealthy judgements dealt out quickly
-
I need a dankogrithm to run over my stuff just for a bit of additional QA
-
Do we think dankness is binary or are the lines blurred/greyed and in the eye of the beholder?
-
"dankness - if you don't know you have it, you don't"
-
Well said
-
For me, often times the dankness is contained either in the meme layers or the suggestion in the piece opposed to its literal content... in that way I’d say it’s blurry
-
But at he same time some things can just be universally dank, omnidank.
-
-
Hahaha accidentally forwarded to this group
-
😂
-
I could explode this whole game when I submit my next card
-
True Dankness
-
Big things wheeler, drop hints at least
-
hoping sitting in the queue doesn't reduce dankness, mine is about halfway down the list but still looking purrty
-
A card can be dank but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s moist
-
-
-
What's the pay?
-
Bitcorn
-
Eternal life on the blockchain?

Where do I submit?

cryptophones are nothing but bad news - when they come onto the scene avoid them like poison

thEOS phones are the best news ever

you can even use airplane mode
-
edited: can't even make that joke, too much of a stretch - turn off wi-fi
-
<-- will probably buy one
-
if the icon status bar on top had a bitcorn symbol, I'd prolly pre-order
-
Need cheat codes
-
what file format you trying to upload? I think there was an issue with gif a whie back - not sure if that's still the case.

Ooo that might be it

nice farm art. now i'm thinking i need more TukTuks to bring corn to market since you've got a big rig.
-
@truckslamchest are you going to make a card too?
-
I have a couple of ideas of cards I could submit. It's a possibility, maybe.
-
👍👍👍 great idea!
-
Looking to buy .1 crops to push my farm to the front page. Hmu
-
If u join coin tang clan coop I can prolly help u out

image/ forevermoist is now on the DEX. I'm selling one at this time and I'll be hanging onto the last one for a possible future auction or offer i can't refuse... or maybe none of that, so this is really it. Moist art. Actual function in the game. Rare AF. A must have to keep your farm and clan safe from the terrors of dryness. The highest selling card to date.

10-4 messed it up

Awesome work Dan, thanks.

you don't get your face on a card like that without some spilling some blood
-
some great corn sounding assets registered today! looking forward to the cards.
-
Where is he calling you a piece of shit?
-
Every single day I'm reminded why I soured on Counterparty a few years ago, and it has nothing to do with the tech.
-
Likely gonna get banned for this but who even cares. You are losing the internet again today and it looks like it might be a common theme with as many haters as you tout. I really wanted to be part of a community but these burst tantrums burn my nosehairs.
-
Avoiding adding to the conflict by NOT jumping into the fray seems wise at first. But at some point, pretending like there's nothing wrong doesn't seem apropriate either.
-
A shining example of centralization
-
Hopefully cooler heads will prevail.
-
At this point we are all well aware
-
Nothing wrong with this statement at all. I'd be quite a bit more pissed off about the MW guys anonymously ripping off your creation wholesale, with zero attribution, and people giving you shit about it. I don't get it. my 2 cents.
-
Has anyone tried letting the market decide which rares were valuable and which were not? I wonder what would happen if there was a published criteria for acceptance and any piece that meets the criteria gets accepted, why would that be bad? Does it just get too flooded? Could you put submission limits on a per-author basis or something? I'm interested to know the reasons why it is set up the way it is.
-
Sort of like the DeBeers family? You can't just release all the diamonds or the market value collapses. So you slow down the flow.
-
Well yeah, obviously you would have some publishing guidelines.
-
yeah Joe spoke to that well in the podcast, clearly there will be pepe nazis and pedos with no constraints at all - just look and see
-
Sure, and naturally any system with publishing guidelines will have a centralized element. It's unavoidable.
-
Well yeah someone brought up centralization and I'm clarifying the need for such
-
whitepaper wil be out in two weeks (TM)
-
We have a "two weeks" TM joke on our about page trustlessapparel.com/about

btw, Dan, I'm looking to do a bitcorn-themed shirt by popular request from friends/customers

I'll make one for you real quick if youw ant

yeah I was thinking of something ala "Children of the Bitcorn"

use Bitcorn10 for 10%. Good for the month.
-
btw there's also an LN discount if you pay with Lightning
-
we have an LN promo going live in a handful of days that will teach how to use LN, it's going to cover Lightning Labs, Blockstream, and Eclaire.
-
We're also going to be incentivizing lightning adoption and adding liquidity to LN, still working on the details there.

A farm with no coop allegiance has bought one of the three FOREVERMOIST in circulation...

Would be a good opportunity for a coop to bribe this farm into their group

Maybe they are going for a solo win? Lots of deep strategy going into this game

MICA has 2 already

and no othe coop has any, unless some changed hands

FOREVERMOIST went quick. I’m down to sell my last one but then I’ll be left DAABable and doesn’t feel great not to own your own, so it will have to be an offer I can’t refuse. MICA doesn’t need two FMs

I think it is refering to an "ALT FARM" like an altcoin

a project that takes a very similar concept, maybe even copies part of the whitepepe or other code from github and then makes new artwork to go with it , or in some cases, very similar artwork

DM me offers for any of these cards. I am fundraising -

Corndogs - 5
Rarecorn - 1
Theos - 5 -
I got 6. I’m desperate but not THAT desperate

Trying to raise xcp to buy crops at this discounted price
-
Lel they literally just did right?
-
I didn’t list the real heater cards (elote, corncombine, cornspiracy, cornethanol, cornparty)
-
They're treating this as a very GEO-oriented game. I grabbed a couple JP locations that I like best. GEO is a rich area to develop features for in the game IMO.
-
I’d like a Theos
-
A couple of Japanese players I talked to said they had no idea how to play. I asked one why he didn't join coops. He said he was waiting to read a Japanese language blog (presumably BB's) to learn how to play. Meanwhile he makes assumptions.
-
@SWINGO seems to be the main teacher of farming
-
DM me offers

@theogoodman before I go all in on thEOS, can you reconfirm that main net is functioning as designed?

I can also confirm I will talk about it at the confernce 24-25 in Essen Germany

way over 800 mil

Damn son. The blockchain holds so much. Couldn't do that with an excel spreadsheet.
-
If custom data was embedded in tokens (non extended) could you reasonably parse that out and display a separate distinct category of tokens?
-
Say for example, tokens with a 30byte encoded string and beginning with an identifier
-
So for example, I want to use tokens as a backend for distributed DNS. This will require each token having a long non human readable string in the description
-
which could be prefixed by an identifier like CDNS
-
In this case, the domain name is derived from the asset name
-
And the hash in the description is a public key
-
That's what namecoin and emercoin are for
-
Namecoins long died
-
But you don't need tokens for that...
-
Not true, but it's not used either...
-
It's highly centralized
-
You need NMC do you not? although it's majority controlled by 1 actor and been 51% attacked
-
Oh. Didn't know that... Then use emercoin or Ethereum instead.
-
Hrhr.. I liked the idea anyway.. decentralized DNS... Can't attack it
-
The idea isn't to replace DNS, I don't for a second thing that's feasible- it's just a way to have distributed sites using an IPFS like protocol, and I just think counterparty provides a pseudo decentralised registry complete with anti spam fees and the ability to trade names if required
-
Just a few weeks ago hackers attacked DNS nodes to get ppl on fake Myetherwallet sites
-
True, but if you store value pairs on a secure chain, you don't need nameservers either...
-
I'm not saying DNS is shit, but I'd prefer it to be decentralized.
-
The main point is providing further usage/possible demand for registering assets on the xcp platform. I can register an asset and have it point to a self hosted p2p site, I like that. I think it's worth the fee and provides an avenue beyond the usual register asset for tokens/squat assets for the sake of someone buying it. I might actually buy someones asset in a marketplace if I can point the name to something in a browser
-
I can’t wait until asset names can be traded on the DEX
-
I mean the devs of bitcoin also said it doesn't make sense to embed 'custom' 'spam' like counterparty to abuse it sending corn around but hey here we are, and people like it
-
I think the system should be open to innovation and love the concept of tokens and sub economys of any kind
-
Agreed but in this use-case there is no IP's to point to, hence why traditional records couldn't be used
-
milksheik/CounterParty-domain-query
CounterParty-domain-query - A utility to query decentralised DAT domains stored as counterparty assets on the blockchain.
-
This is a quick PoC of what I mean, it differs from Chiguerators fully fledged DNS lookup using counterparty, and utilizing something from scratch would be overkill
-
The idea is just to let people own a name that points to a space on the internet (p2p) and that they have control of. They can trade it, sell it, keep it and it's theirs.
No renewal or expiry fees. Of course it doesn't replace DNS and only a tiny subset of people would ever use it considering you need a specialized browser, plugin or gateway but idk, if done properly I think it would encourage new people to consider purchasing an asset on counterparty who might never have previously and getting into the space if they could point it to a decentralized space on the web with no restrictions on TLD's -
Agreed, I think it's obvious I'm not a coder (or pretending to be) I understand xchain shouldn't be used, a node should- but it's a simple demo of the idea
-
Sure if you want 😀. I think the guys at coinweb are doing somrthing similar, except with centralized namespaces too.. allegedly
-
YACF
-
Yet another counterparty fork
-
silk road VII
-
On the bright side it might materialize before XCPC
-
xcpc is only gonna be 2 weeks
-
Actually that is more or less the self imposed deadline before the burn is supposed to start
-
I thought it was May 15
-
And with an alleged bitmain backing. I'm waiting with the popcorn because it's been a perpetual 2 weeks for a bit
-
ahhh yes, the undisclosed Bitmain backing... they probably talk about it because of an NDA but wait, they did talk about it 🤔
-
Their backing probably amounts to allowing their logo to be posted on the webpage
-
Wouldn't be surprised, although they are being pretty generous with opening the treasure trove to partnerships
- 19 May 2018 (176 messages)

-
one of my absolute favorite topics, seems I missed the discussion tho - yeah NMC and my buddy Oleg's Emercoin rock! and yes DNS is badly broken and can't go away soon enough!
-
definitely true - I verified it myself. Google nameservers were hijacked to send people to fake MEW wallets.
-
I dont understand - what is the point?
-
You mean what's the point of a decentralized p2p web?
-
Less broken than email I guess, but it's definitely the weak link. Routinely abused to amplify DDOS attacks for example.
-
Yes what advantage would this have over DNS?
-
People used AOL too.
-
some still do
-
it's less than ideal
-
they walled off users from the internet
-
The main ideas behind repllacing DNS with blockchain-based systems are:
-
1. decentralized DNS that can't be censored
2. fix the horrible CA system to get rid of mass MITM attacks -
those are big problems that can be fixed
-
Satoshi wasinvolved in those early discussions about doing DNS on a blockchain, it was the first app they discussed after money
-
first altcoin too in 2010
-
its not hard to build, was done long ago
-
then Emercoin did it in spades
-
preventing MITM is huge tho
-
Right now, ANY CA at all including CNNIC (there are almost a thousand) can forge a cert for Bitcorns.com and our browsers would (correctly) consider that cert valid and give no warning.
-
that's pretty messed up
-
The DNS segment (at least in the use case I was envisaging with counterparty) was somewhat ancillary to the actual p2p web. Since the names by default are not easily adfressable or easy to remember there needs to exist some kind of registry. And I think it makes total sense for such a registry to exist on chain. NMC was an excellent thing in it's time but unfortunately got. co-opted and died. It makes sense to have such a registry for a decentralized web on the btc chain proper IMO
-
https://beakerbrowser.com/ Here is the underlying decentralized system (although of course you could also use normal records to point to a standard IP)beaker/archive-notice.md at master · beakerbrowser/beaker
An experimental peer-to-peer Web browser. Contribute to beakerbrowser/beaker development by creating an account on GitHub.
-
I should probably say distributed instead of decentralized
-
oh right - beakerbrowser looks pretty cool, I think you're misjudging what the issues are tho in decentralized DNS
-
the technical issues have been mostly figured out, the political issues are tougher
-
you want a central registry for decentralized DNS?
-
if you mean my probs 1 and 2 yes, been done more than once, and elegantly too
