Just did something really weird on Tokenscan... so 25 days ago I minted the name HOLYKEEPSAKE. Well, couldn't find it on chain by typing it in. It wasn't there.
Happened to be logged in to a different address, and tried to mint the name there instead since the first try must've been unsuccessful. First, it tells me the name is already owned by null. So I tried again, and it went through just a few minutes ago. BUT it's showing it to have been minted 25 days ago, but with the address I just used, not the original.
My ability to find strange glitches is unwelcome to myself 😭😂 and uncanny...

your first issuance failed cuz you didn't have enough XDP in your address... hence the insufficient funds

it tracked that the asset was attempted to register, but it wasn't an actual valid asset until an hour ago

little known fact... you can actually search for assets which someone tried to register, but which failed ... by loading the following url

we keep track of the history that someoen tried to do an issuance tx, but they didn't have funds so the asset was not actually registered... it doesn't happen very often... but when it does, you will see what you saw... an asset which appears to exist but is registered to null.... because it doesn't ACTUALLY exist yet.... but we have to create a record of the asset in the database in order to track the failed issuance

history is history... can't argue with the issue dates which are on-chain and easily proovable to pre-date almost all NFTs, etc.... so, just a matter of time before more people wake up and start doing actual research and collecting the "oldest" tokens... of which, there are only a handful... so IMO, you are not an idiot, your ahead of the game, tho may take a lil while for others to clue into the facts your already aware of

dispenser prices are the actual prices... there is some OTC trading, but typically if you want something, you just buy it from a dispenser direct from the operator.... thats how most of the trading is done... not a ton of OTC deals unless you wanna swap cards with ppl, etc

You did good. If sellers really wanted to move these tokens they could lower their dispenser prices, yet for many old school tokens, not a lot of repricing is taking place. This is because the holders have conviction that they can get these prices for the tokens in the future.
The good thing about the OG tokens is that they are only getting older with time, and age is one of their main selling points.

Oh is he good at that? I have a substantial amount locked up in a few addresses. I tried to construct my own transactions but I couldn't get around this error:
"RPC error -26: bad-txns-nonstandard-inputs"
Then I read there was changes to Core at some point that made old multisig dust unspendable. Would be great if thats not true. -
I haven't used his service to recover any BTC yet (I'm stubborn and plan to build a "gather dust" option into xchain-wallet)... but he has scripts he can run on your address to generate transactions which you can then sign and broadcast..
