idk john he thinks cause he is on a iphone and im on a pc and the iphone has some type of ads, he said so that why he probably gets all that
-
is it normal to be 80/95 and get 6 legend cards and over 20 purples, cause it sure dont work that way for me
-
im lucky if i get 1 blue card in the 10 cards for 1000g i have made 1 blockchain card using the 4 blue unicorn card and he made a block with 4 purples of the fire all card that isnt even on the board so he got all 4 from 1000g card draw
-
idk man but it has destroyed my hopes of ever being good at this game so im ready to just bow out
-
normally by this time i have run my stamina out and waiting on it to refill but today i havent even played
-
I don't remember what the odds are exactly but I personally probably get one epic (purple) probably, but not always, every 10000 gold spent? Maybe. One legi probably every 50k? I don't know I don't keep track. 4 epics on one 1000 pull is very rare I would say. I think the most I've ever gotten is two. There are no iphone ads any more. Used to be a while ago but I haven't seen one in probably 6 months.

Yeah, the advantage of BCY is that it is on counterparty where centralized exchanges are irrelevant because it will always be exchangeable

So, I connected my account to my ETH addy (through metamask). Is there an option to connect my counterparty addy ? (Web 3 status Bitcoin Unavailable).
I have 2 seeds (i.e. my ETH & counterparty addy does not derive from the same seed) -
When I enter my ETH addy and press "submit", I cannot see any of my digital assets/tokens in that address. The balance status is "No collectible". I can see many transactions in the transaction tab, however, the date is 1970-01-01 2:00:00.
When I enter my counterparty addy and press "submit", both "balance" & "transaction" tabs seems accurate.
I haven't tested the orb explorer a lot yet, just some initial questions, in order to keep going. I will submit all my finding directly to the feedback form -
There a no counterparty web3 wallet for browser except casa Tookan. So with metamask you can only connect to your Ethereum address

Any idea what this currency is? Haven't fired up casa in awhile

Likely nowhere. They typically ask you to input your counterwallet seed to retrieve your "bonus funds" then poof there goes all your counterparty wallet funds

Is this serious?
You make a decision you should have made 2 years ago to move to a blockchain like Ethereum's and say that we who support the project by buying the cards on Counterparty's blockchain will not be able to switch to our cards for ETH, it is?
This is a lack of respect for those here supporting your @yodark project.
It is very convenient for you to issue the cards on the ETH blockchain and sell them on Opensea which is a much more liquid market when we stay here with our counterparty blockchain cards.
Guys, I don't know how many of all of you who are here and have SOG cards but that to me seems very wrong, worthy of being called a scam!
He's abandoned Counterparty's letters and going to ETH and leaving our cards there without being able to trade this is ridiculous!
@yodark the right thing to do is to issue the cards on the ETH blockchain is to allow people to trade them or just you want to check out the cards on Opensea?
Your decision once again is wrong and does not take into account who follows you from the beginning. -
-
-
-
-
You are over reacting.
The possibility to swap from counterparty to ethereum (atomic swap) has been mentioned but it will not be effective at the beginning, atomic swap tech need to mature first probably.
First they will release some cards and BCY on ethereum and see how this goes.
There is not much Dev power currently so we have to be patient, things will move slowly but at least there is a strategy with the multi chain approach and the willing to continue delivering. -

at the beginning the ethereum card will be very scarce, but it's important because it brings attention and build excitement. We will release on purpose limited supply to bring eye balls on the project. Bulding excitement is not only good for the SOG but it's also a big driver to build a good secondary market for every long time holder

Well, I'VE got 1000$ worth of Yummy Island cards according to blockchain explorers cause some person at some point bought one at waaay too high a price and the valuation of the asset never updated π
Valuation being based on a rolling average only works if it actually sells hehe.
Whatever did happen with yummies ? I've still got the t-shirt I won... -
Me too. I am plenty of Yummies and I donβt know what I can do with them πͺ
-
You say technology needs to mature only when I see the Splinterlands game team allowing their users to trade their cards very simply and you come to tell the community that the technology to do this is not ready?
https://steemit.com/splinterlands/@splinterlands/splinterlands-ethereum-integration-is-liveSplinterlands Ethereum Integration is Live! β SteemitThe Splinterlands team is excited to announce that players can now convert their cards to ERC-721 tokens on theβ¦ by splinterlands
-
-
-
-
I said is probably the reason, just supposing. Is your exemple between counterparty and ethereum also? At least I understood is not top 1 priority for the beginning but in the pipe.
-
I think I replied to this question on my previous post. let me know if the strategy is still unclear
-
-
We are in 2020 and you are still insisting on Counterparty this multi-chain approach and again wrong whether you like it or not the collectible ecosystem is going to be on the ETH blockchain so why stay on Counterparty?
The funny thing is that when CryptoKitties exploded you were rushing to develop The Table and what happened? I think everyone here already knows!
When the game CryptoKitties was a success it made you should soon know and understand that ETH would be the blockchain for that kind of game and should change -
Correcting, you will let us transfer our cards to ETH network after you have already sold a bunch of cards in Opensea
-
Doing a game is not something you could do in only 2 days. Not enought people were interested, and we did not sold enought yummies to continue the project. It's different for Spells of Genesis. The game is here and won't move. We are just trying to reply to some clntraints we could face on xcp and we would like to increase our community to the eth one.
-
If they can do it, why can't you? well the answer and of course you don't wanna do it because only you wanna have the negotiating power at Opensea that's the reality here
-
-
-
-
-
-
Right! You should allow us to change our cards in the same way the Splinterlands team is doing.
-
Wrong in the past and wrong in the present unfortunately
-
Okay so in a sense it a good thing that we are moving to ethereum. Your concern is we are moving late.
There is two things discerning market change and beeing able to address it.
With a nascent project it's very simple to chose your technology. But if you already have a living product with a lot of code and feature things cannot magically move everyting. Specially if you are self funded. From long time now we are working on a technology stack that is flexible to chain and side chain for example casa tookan is compatible with ethereum for a long time now. But we had to build everything. Now it's start to be ready and that why we are moving SOG. So wishing to change to to ethereum and actually moving the things are two different things -
I understand the part where you already have an entire ecosystem building on Counterparty and a total change from your time consuming and expensive ecosystem!
But in the matter of cards this is no longer simple, see the example of the Splinterlands game they will very simply allow switching to the ETH chain and back to the Steem chain, so damage freedom for your players to have an ecosystem. better to trade your cards without losing your Steem-developed ecosystem and that's what you have to do and the technology already exists! -
Technically the resources are scarce so we can build things one by one.
From a business perspective there is one thing that should make clear as a company selling NFT is our main business model if the company is not selling card thus not making revenue the the game dies and if the game dies there is no secondary market. So if you want to able to trade your cards it's the best interest that we successfully be able to boost and sustain the game.
Having a scarce early market on ethereum is strategy to give attention to the game so we won't make a ton of money because we will be limiting the amount and thus the sale. Once enough traction is built we will launch the full card sale and build the migration feature.
The communication strategy is build with our publishing partner dapp radar. With their help we will build a momentum for SOG.
Are you suggesting we should tell a big partner like Dapp Radar who is very well experienced in ethereum game introduction that we disregard their communication support and help and transfer all the cards at once on ethereum. As result we are not building momentum and don't their valuable communication support ?
Wont you prefer to have your card on open sea when there is a big demand for it and interest build with the support of important partners ? -
Right to do, issue the cards in ETH and allow us to go from Counterparty to ETH as well as ETH to Counterparty the technology already exists to do that, but you want to leave our cards in Counterparty when only you have the the power to deal the cards in ETH, that doesn't seem fair to me and I don't think it seems together for much of your community either
-
Perhaps you should read again what had been said here ...
-
-
-
Yes I prefer, @yodark I will give a vote of confidence in what you planned for this year, but you have to give us the freedom to trade our cards in a more liquid market and not only can you trade
Do what you have to do to attract more attention to the game and then release our trading cards to the ETH network! -
I don't see how hard it is to issue the cards in ETH and allow us to swap! Is it that hard to do what the Splinterlands team did? No, it's not!
-
-
They are doing a swap from which chain to ETH please?

@TcHoS I can't thank you enough for beeing a long time follower. I don't plan to let anyone done as long as I'm alive and perusing the project. I give my word that if SOG is successful on ethereum (that can sustain the game operation) we will allow people to move their asset to ethereum and not lost in the counterparty limbo
-

@TcHoS I observed that you are comparing what splinterlands did with what EDS would like to achieve. Let me ask you something. Did you actually try transferring a splinterlands card from STEEM to ETH? I did, and please correct me if I am wrong here. What is actually happening is the following: when you initiate the transfer of a card, the card is being removed from your STEEM wallet and (prolly not 100% sure) being transferred to a splinterlands owned escrow wallet. Then they issue a unique token (1 of a kind) with all the traits of your card in the Ethereum blockchain (card type, upgrade level if it is a gold or special card etc.) With this token, you can freely trade the card in the ETH blockchain. BUT... you cannot use it inside the game nor you can upgrade it. It is just an IOU (I owe you) token. Whoever buys this card from you, can transfer it back to the steem blockchain, and they will get back the equivalent steem token from the escrow addy. What EDS would like to achieve is to have the same card as tokens to both blockchains (blockchain agnostic), BUT to give you the ability to be able to use the card inside the game (and also upgrade it, forge etc.) So my question is: would you prefer at the current state EDS to do as splinterlands did? (To issue IOU tokens). Will you sacrifice the playability of your cards which is currently in the counterparty, in order to move them to Ethereum? And last but not least, let's be honest here. Why someone from the Ethereum community will purchase your cards? (when they will know that to use them, they will have to move them back to counterparty.) How this will create adoption when only a small portion of the "modern" Ethereum based game players even know what counterparty is. What @yodark very correctly said, is that they need first to prepare the infrastructure and work on the appropriate means, for a smooth transition that will be understandable and appreciated by many. Just my 2 satoshi's
-
Thanks for the explanation of how Splinterlands work..I haven't tried it personally, but from I understoodd from the article shared here was that it was rather a off-chain card to on-chain card transfer than a transfer between different chains...
-
with the technology we're currently working on (Crystal Suite, and mostly the Crystal Spark part), we will be able to integrate (more or less) any other chain, quite easily...
-
-
Indeed very interesting to know what Splinterlands did more in details. On my side it confirms EDS vision and approach is good, only need to have a dev team to work on it now. Hope you find dev power to execute the vision and create a new momentum. Now is the good time with the next bull run approaching, if things are ready in 2020 it could create a great come back for EDS with the Crystal Suite during the year or next year. Wish you success.

That's exactly what you described what happens in Splinterlands when someone wants to negotiate some letter @tweetious?, you're correct!
When I talked about them it was to show that there are ways to do what some people said there was no technology to do, is it the best option? I don't know, but their community is certainly more than happy with the possibility of negotiating their cards!
When reading the ad FAQ that you will issue SOG cards in Etherreum It's clear that you do not intend to change the cards existing letters on the counterparty blockchain for the Ethereum blockchain is this is frustrating!
Imagine the people who have a SATOSHICARD and they see the same SATOSHICARD issued on the Ethereum blockchain being traded daily but these people cannot trade your card for the simple fact that your SATOSHICARD is on the Counterparty blockchain, how do you think these people would feel @tweetious?
I understand that one of the views of the EverdreamSoft team is the sale of SOG cards and I know that you need to monetize to continue the projects you have in mind, just because you have this vision, you need to keep an eye on the people who have your cards in Counterparty because today our cards are worthless there! -
If you are already issuing SOG cards on the Ethereum blockchain does this mean that practically those Ethereum cards are already integrated in the Spell of Genesis game or not?
If the answer to my question is yes, what prevents you from issuing all existing SOG cards on Ethereum and allowing people to exchange your cards?
If the answer to my question is no, the SOG cards that are being issued on the Ethereum blockchain suffer from the same problems as the Splinterlands game cards at the moment! -
Has the EverdreamSoft team ever stopped to think that a letter I will give the example of the SATOSHICARD card issued on the Ethereum blockchain will have more value in the market than the same SATOSHICARD that is on the Counterparty blockchain? Simply because the Ethereum ecosystem is infinitely more robust, better and liquid than the Counterparty ecosystem!
-
-
it is unfortunate that you have so much momentum in a narrative that conflates value for liquidity and not long term functionality. I see it futile to try to convince you contrary to any of your statements despite any longwinded attempts. For the audience, i would like to assure them that CounterParty is not "worthless"
Such fomo based logical fallacy of absolutes is indicative of a shallow interpretation of the integral relationships needed for social change on a great scope that encompasses long term success -
-
You can always buy and sell cards on the counterparty DEX. The community of the game is currently reside in the counterparty platform. The fact that you prolly cannot find potential buyers for your cards, it is not a counterparty platform fault/issue. As I previously said, by issuing the card overnight in another platform (without previously work on the infrastructure of supporting such an action) , it will not end up with buyers queuing in line to purchase your cards. If there is no interest in purchasing an asset (that provides you with some functionality, and having a value - not only market value, but playability value inside the game), in one platform, then I am not quite sure how this will work out in another platform (if you do not ensure also from day 1, the usability of the asset inside the game.) As @wampum correctly said, you are missing the big picture here. A smooth transition of the assets to another platform is in both interest of the players/assets hodlers & EDS.
-
ππ
-
+ the counterparty platform might not be perfect, but it works. By moving any assets to another blockchain you are always making a trade off for the security that the bitcoin blockchain provides
-
Agree having cards on ethereum will not magically create buyers. Some think if you tokenised something it becomes magically liquid and that you can buy and sell it easily but reality is that you still need a buyer to sell and vise versa.
However I hope project gain visibility with assets present in ethereum nft marketplaces, it is a good way to address other Blockchain gamers communities and hopefully create some new sog players. -

Why is it so difficult to migrate the Counterparty cards to Ethereum? With Age of Rust you were able to burn you cards on Counterparty and they migrated to Ethereum. https://twitter.com/SpacePirate_io/status/1090713898997727234Age of Rust
Our token conversion wizard to migrate your Age of Rust tokens from Counterparty to Enjin (Ethereum ERC-1155) is now open. Conversion times vary with both blockchains. You can start the process at https://t.co/xNymg7QCZb #enjin $rustbits #counterparty

it's not a question of difficulty it's a question of
Timing, opportunity and costs.
It took them about 6 month from the moment they annonced they are going to migrate and the availability of the feature.
So it won't take us 6 month to migrate the cards. But at the initial ethereum release as I mentioned the feature won't be available. We are going to have few selected cards on sale. The scarcity of those designed to bring attention -

Sog will stay the same. The only difference is that instead of only be able to link a counterparty wallet you will be able on top to link an ethereum wallet to play with cards you have on ethereum.
