for those of us that currently hold SOG cards that were bought with bitcrystals, I think it would be cool to issue 1:1 ethereum cards for the holders of these assets and label them "1st edition". I feel a bit disappointed buying these cards and finding out we have to re-buy the ethereum version later on, which are obviously going to be more liquid then the counterparty cards. I think I have something like 50 cards, and I hold quite a bit of bitcrystals in the hopes that this game would pick up , or that I could use the assets on another game or use my bitcrystals to buy future digital assets that SOG offered. You guys were the first blockchain game that I found that actually were implementing assets in a game, it was so cool to see. I think you guys will find much success moving to ethereum, although I wish you moved to something like Enjin to avoid gas fees.

Just so i'm clear.....
When EDS creates SoG cards on Ethereum, does a corresponding burn of the same amount and kind of cards happen on Counterparty? I'm under the impression that there are only 199 SATOSHICARDs of any kind in existence - not 199 on XCP and 199 on ETH and 199 on this and 199 on that..... Sorry if this has been discussed earlier. Please clarify when you're able. Thanks. -
As far as I know it was always mention that assets supply will not increase if delivered on a other chain. They have to burn or at least lock on one chain to issue on the other.
Probably in a first step EDS will burn some cards they own on counterparty and issue on ethereum and later on give possibility to users to do it.

yes if ethereum becomes a thing meaning there are real demand and market for SOG cards people will be able to transfer their cards on a 1:1 basis. People owning counterparty BCY will be able to transfer to Ethereum BCY

if you already own the card it's not necessary to rebuy the card. The only difference is these "first ethereum cards" will have a "historic" flag

Maybe I’m nitpicking but I don’t like anything that would assign more value to any card created cross chain. I think it’s fair to believe the “historic” flag does that. Not ok. There should be zero difference, in look, verbiage or statistics when creating matching cards on the ETH chain. This is a marketing ploy to sell cards and I believe it comes at the expense of CP cards. Not ok.

I think current holders are in for a period (hopefully short) of uncertainty as we see how this new market plays out. There could be pain but the process has started so we'll have to see how much pain. If EDS and the community can maintain an environment of card parity, value-wise, across chains, than i think it will be less pain. If value is construed as higher (for whatever reason/decision) on one chain over the other, we have problems....

Each chain has is advantages. Is not true to only say ethereum is superior, counterparty is running on top of the more secured chain in the world Bitcoin. Also CP assets have more history and are collector by the fact they was Minted first.
In any case the debate is not there. Idea is to allow anyone to own the asset on the chain they prefer, this is the vision . This is the objective and it was clearly mention that slowly features will be implemented to allow swapping assets between chains, etc. -

The only advantage it has in Counterparty is linked to the security of the Bitcoin network, other than that there is no other advantage in using the Counterparty network, these arguments that the Counterparty project defends, which does not even have a roadmap for the year 2020, Counterparty is a bankrupt and it is incredibly difficult for some here to admit it! -

This becomes clear when we see the ETHERMAGE card that it cost at Counterparty (300 BCY = 0.041 ETH) and now the same ETHERMAGE card costs 0.15 ETH on the Ethereum network -
