It would be amazing to secure my assets with my hardware wallet. The only digital assets I own not protected by my hardware wallets is on the counterparty blockchain

Yes. I have a ledger hardware wallet. Well I have two one I use and the other a exact replica kept at my parents house in a fire proof safe :)
