You can hold it in any wallet. I personally understand why @Hamslice recommends an empty wallet. There are a lot of subassets that they send out. It would be nice to have a dedicated wallet for that project.

You have to remember Dogeparty is ported from Counterparty, which was developed in 2013. What you're suggesting can't be suddenly deployed. The entire ecosystem revolves around things being exactly the way they are now. We like it that way.
