Just curious of what was the soft cap and what you was expecting as amount of sales?
Why making a so long period of sale but canceling after only few days?
Bear market makes the ETH very cheap so in my point of view is a good thing for a sale, even less people would buy a yummy at 0.3eth when eth was at is ATH I believe . Bear market kills bad projects, should not affect good ones. Indeed people stopped investing big amounts like crazy with eyes closed in crypto projects but this will probably never come again or at least not in 2019 or even 2020 because all is more institutional, regulated, serious in the sector. What do you wait and that will make the sale better in 2019? -
Totally agree with u. Good projects don't need to worry about this bear market. And since Bitcrystals is quite established, it could have kept developing the game and make an initial Alpha/Beta release. Then people would have certainly invested. Right now ppl just don't tend to invest without any MVP -
The concept was also very unique. People tend to like food and animal related games.

@Eds_Yzia Is there an official announcement that the pre-sale is cancelled? You didn't either confirmed or denied the "rumour". Pre-sale seems to still go on. Price for each Yummy is about 0.27 Ether each. Is it cancelled, or just halted (existing purchases will be honoured)? -
also, I would like to add that I didn't like the sale structure with the price increase (after every sale). The buyer didn't know the price in advance until he/she reaches the last step. Also, if someone went in the first minute of sales and bought a large number of yummies, then it wouldn't be fair for the rest that went also early on to purchase (let's say from the second minute and onwards), becouse the price would have been doubled or tripled. I clearly understand the FOMO (be fast & try to buy at the cheapest price possible) hype, but I am not sure that it worked out.
A more fair price structure IMO would have been a fixed price, depending on the time period you did the purchase. (i.e. first 24 hours of sale 0.1 ETH, day 2-5 0.2 ETH, day 6-10 0.3 ETH etc.....). If let's say there were 100 potential customers willing to purchase at day 1, all of them would have made a purchase with the "first 24 hours" structure. However, with the existing structure, when prices increased a lot (after a couple of purchases), then those customers might withdraw from the initial thought of doing a purchase . Also, I agree the period of pre-sale was too long. If at any time (during pre-sale period), the price of each Yummy reached (let's say) 1 ETH each, then even if there were still 75 days left for pre-sale, no one would have been willing to pay that amount to purchase a Yummy.

It is exactly what happened and I did stats in this group in the begging of the sale showing this. If I remember well there is one guy that purchased 31 yummies in the first hour taking almost all the prices from 0.1 to 0.15 ETH. Second hour there was few sales to reach around 0.2 and since almost nobody willing to pay higher price. If the objective was to raise a lot more money it means there was the idea of selling yummies for more than 1 eth which is crazy in current project state.

However if there was a fixed price at 0.1 for the first 24 hours, then FOMO might had worked better i.e. more sales overall
