As you said, so you did… You gave answer really to some (cherrypicked) points. Still very good information. here my few cents to that:

SOG
Information about metric analyse is really interesting to know and it shows that you really did a good job in this point to find out where could be the problems considering sales numbers. its also good to see that you developed a plan to fix issues and had even a timeframe to do that. still i dont get the point why it failed? as you say all implementions were planned to be ready toward march ’19. its only 2 months away! notvery far if you considered to have long run for SoG. also i dont get what has crypto winter to do with cutting the plans bit shorter. do you keep your assets in crypto (exept BCY)? if yes, then it is really sad to hear that first blockchain game is a victim of crypto market regression and i hope that your assets will recover fast. but if you talk about BCY 200x price down, then this does not have much to do with crypto winter, here are problems elsewhere and in my “text wall” i think i described then quite well. there are only few (out of round 2000) cryptoassets which had such crash and most of them because they were useless anyway. BCY wasn’t useless, so you should maybe think why it fell 200x (answers you can find from my writing). there are some homeworks you should have done, but they aren’t done around BCY…

SOG 2
Generally it is so in the world of business that versions 2.0 will be built only to success stories. skipping developement on ver. 1.0 shows clearly that you dont see a success in that. why to build ver. 2.0? does not make much sense for me…

Fundrising
Mhhhh… that is a very confusing point for me in this point. Are you looking for fundrising (FR) for SoG (ver. 1.0 or 2.0) or for a “BCY ecosystem”?
actually this question is more a rhetorical and does not need a answer since it is answered already: 1.0 - development is ended (FR not nessesary); 2.0 - who would invest in project where even developer does not believe in; “BCY ecosystem” (what is that actually?) - for no one is clear what they will get for their funds.
On top comes that FR as such on ANY of them cant practically be done, at least not in classical sense. you could collect donations but not rise funds on those trough public/private sale or ICO. reasons for that are specific (even if obvious) so i don’t describe them here longer.

Company structure.
There are many companies with various different structures and 100s and 1000s of workers. to build up same kind of structures in a small/middle size company can’t be cost effective model since in this case the ‘conflict in internal ressources and focus’ on endproducts gets even bigger. Generally to outsource a ver. 2.0 is not a bad idea, but for that you have to have sucessfully running ver. 1.0 which will not be the case.

Your actual projects
developer APIs and collectibles blockchain are fine and also necessary tools for everyone. but how you want to finally earn money with that? build out your company on that? will usage of those tools free or it will cost some money for users?

And finally…
You responded to some of the points but there are several of them still open. more specifically:
1. What exactly means status ‘Frozen’? please specify which (if any) game features (exept the ‘built-in’ features) will be available in the future.
2. Maybe you could take some time to say your opinion/point of view about my sugestions in the end of my text wall.

The game have been very byggy for me the last week. I kill opponents and they do shot me anyway... it happen multiple times... it just happen again. I did complete a stage and after i Kill the last opponent he killed my last card and i got defeated even tho I did finish opponents before

And here it took me to next stage because opponents killed me after I killed last one on stage before

yes it happens sometimes. specially when opponent dies not from direct hit but from bounce against nail wall.
just a other thing: your team is suboptimal for this stage anyway, even if there would not be this bug you would probably not pass it. just combination what i would suggest: Earth multi (Gummyyummy is 👍), Dark (if possible multi), Fire (BadRomance is good) and water for healing since the dwarf is pretty fast. Ice and Light do not give here much

I did already complete this stage, I took the photo some days ago. Just sent it when I reported the bug here. It happens too often this last week... I have never had it happen this often before... I would have complete another stage if it did not happen again 😞

no i dont know. and i think you neither. only they know.
the argument that they ‘have to continue’ because of that is reasonable but not fixed fact. that SoG-cards start to be only ‘like arts’ and they will be not usable without game, does not automatically mean that they continue with developement. there are no guarantees and no clear answers yet, thats why i continue asking.

decentralised true ownership of game assets is a nice thing and i love it but just now we see just clear case where the value and usability of this assets is not anymore with characteristics of decentralisation. we can control our assets but not really controll the usability of those assets. generally they are names in blockchain and become also “the Face” from centralised applications. thats why it is so important that dApps start to come out for gaming, collectibles and other things. if (not that they would do) EDS would decide to not support SoG cards in BoO, then you would not even have a nice piece of Arts anymore.

I see it as a need for a clearer licensing of the artwork created by the game. As it us that artwork belongs to EDS/the respective artists, so if they someone were to reuse it in their Dapp they could get hit with a DMCA takedown notice.

It's not just the token that should be able to be integrated into a new Dapp, but also the artwork itself.

I could imagine making derivative card games based on SoG assets would be more interesting if one knew one had the right to reuse it.

It's why all my token associated artwork are CC-BY (except one or two which are CC-BY + Share Alike and Non Commercial due to the source materials having the share alike restriction).

Personally I'll just keep playing the game because I like it, sloowly quadfusing everything as I go along.

There are several places where are informations which are not actual already at least a month, if not more. About SoG page we even dont need to talk... there is only thing what ever changed there was a snowfall announcement and it never got token away.

here one issue about SoG: video ads for 5 stamina are still offered from time to time but since few days it does not give stamina after watching it. platform ios, tested with 12.1 and 11.4; in both the same problem.

as as single player deck/card game its been average, esp when compaired to the brilliant development of slay the spire.

there would be a tons of small things to do to make SoG lots better. i think SoG never really was a classical deck/card game just the figures/tools are in the form of cards and trough BC-Tech collecticles get to game asset. it never probably was a intention to get as good as slay or any other card/deck game.

Hope monthly campaigns will stay on SoG because is the main activity at end game.

everyone hopes that but i doubt. there were also several small things possible with minimum of dev work which would make the game much more attractive and would probably grow players amount.

I want to expose a case, I've been playing this year and spent more than € 300 in Gems, and I bought cards in BoO using BCY, but there are cards in the game that I try to get, and every time I buy energy I collect 5k or 2k gold, then I buy cards and I always get the same epics, the same legendary and the same rare, I do not get different ....

When I buy cards with gold, the cards they give me are random or everdreamsoft imposes some rules on the aletoriority on the cards, to manipulate the offer of available cards. ???

you collect 5k sometimes? did not know it goes so high. my highest is until now 3100.
this problem with epics and legendarys everyone knows. even if its said that it is random it cant be random in reality because patterns which cards you become are too obvious. but maybe it is a good thing for players who dont play so much, for them it would be only possibility to get epic or legi quadfused in any acceptable time.

I take advantage of monthly campaigns to get 5k or 6k of gold.

i get massive amounts of wooden shields and infected trolls. obscuras and leviathan are pretty common also. and since ages i did not get any ladybug nor luminatis.

I think that here there is manipulation in the randomness algorithm in the cards.

on a scale of 1-10, with 1 being the rarest, and 10 being fairly common, for me wooden shields are about a 5, infected trolls 6, obscuras 2, leviathan 4, ladybug 6-7, luminatis 3

on this scale my ranking would be 1. ladybug; 2 virbulo; 3.luminatis; 4. frozen Golem; 5 eraurk; 6. dwarf; 7 ithlan hero; 8 one-eyed; 9. Oconcha and 10. Beetle. others are fairly common.

There are percentage of pull rates for rare epic legendary usually for gacha games

I can sell you both. I have 2 quad fused Luminatis and another 4 are waiting to fusion. They are the most common from my epic cards.

i have already one luminatis and ladybug i already bought. at the time i have all ingame cards together, ecept some legendarys.

Well you definitely have a lot more luck than me! Also I seem to have an issue with the additional 5 stamina boost from watching videos. I only appear to get credited the stamina around 40% of the time. Other times the video ends and I get nothing.

Nup. Every time I get nothing. Will try again when it pops up next. Haven’t tried it in a while admittedly as just gave up.

i already reported this issue, but seems that they did not do anything about it. you are even lucky to get 40% of thr times 5 stamina, i dont get almost anything. maybe every second day per 2 accs once 5 stamina and videos come per acc round 5 times per day, so max 10%.

my friend who plays on android gets 3-4 times per day 5 stamina. iphone/ipad gets nothing.

3-4 times is in average 1000 gold per day more...

with 30k more i would be now in top 10 in leaderboard 😢

You would think this would be of the highest priority if companies are paying for adverts and we the users are now choosing not to watch them. Presumably that ad space has been sold on the understanding a certain number of views are attained? If I was advertising in this space and became aware that the users didn’t bother with it I think I’d be out.

I got 7 legendary cards while spend less 300k so actual rate is much higher than 0.1% for me.. may bcy amount on linked address affect probability?

i know pretty exact how much money those ads can bring or how they can be other way beneficial for game itself. if you are watching them then it does not mean anything do you get your reward (5stamina in this case) or not you still watched it and EDS will get some benefits out of it. anount of views is of course important, but even with not many of them you can get good money out of them. there would be also possibility to add different rewards than stamina for other tasks, but since SoG dev is cancelled EDS probably will not do it.

3. There are two things most exchange ask for fees to get listed. So as for today we are not in the position to pay for listing and most of them are not serious. Serious ones like bittrex they asked us not to disclose the reason of delisting. But tux said one of the issue was BCY was too related SOG and though could look too much as a security. In general the fact that BCY is tight to one product is an issue that why we are working on the ecosystem to evolve the value proposition of the currency

1 all SOG feature are will be available. There are many games that runs without significant updates. We have as for today no DEV work who work in game updates but depending on the opportunities we might add features but this depends on the available ressources

what is necessary to keep sog living? for sure its not enough that general leaderboard stays running and everyone can look up how good they are. i think thats how it was said in your action plan and comments later in telegram. in following some general suggestions about features to keep alive and maybe to develop with very moderate outlay of money and work.
1. Monthly leaderboard with prices for best players has to be kept up to keep up above listed revenue. high ranked players are biggest cards and gems buyer. to motivate players to reach higher rankings prices should be decent and hard to get from the free market.
2. Monthly event level should stay also. it gives some variety to normal levels and is always entertaining. there is in general no need to develop every month new stage, it would be enough to recycle some stages from the older monthlies, those would be entertaining enough. it would be also a option to give designing of some new stages to community hands and reward members for their winning works with cards or/and some BCY.
3. Events similar to GUMMYYUMMY stage would be nice thing also. those should contain some new playing card and would be available only for short time (for example 2 weeks). those cards to win there are then very rare and desirable. design contest for those cards would activate community and probably even attract new people to play/design SoG.
4. Promotional events similar to Snowfall are essential from time to time. Snowfall was a nice event but it did not bring too many new players/members to community. giveaways don't have to be so high as they were in Snowfall and all tasks should be little better performed and connected to activities. for sure there are some community members who would like to help to perform this kind of events so there would not be real need for EDS to spend lots of their workers time for that, so zero additional costs.

those 4 suggestions are not much developer work to manage. I have lots of other ideas and suggestions which are not containing much developer work neither and would attract new players, but before i let this writing get longer than it already is it would be nice to hear some opinion about those 4. for sure i am not only community member who has good ideas, so maybe it would make a sense to discuss about it.

that monthly leaderboard stays without special stage every month makes you loose many players. it would be enough for beginning to ‘recycle already existent old monthly stages to keep players happy until you are ready with your tools which allow community to build levels.

so actually you dont need a game designer for that.

still there stays a question how they will be released. to invent/design/add just cards and sell them to some players is not the same as keeping players to play game for getting those new cards. concept behind releasing new cards is most important thing here.

also here is not much dev work needed, since adding this special stage is already developed for gummyyummy stage. to bulld a new stage for that is also not really necessary, there are enough stages from past already to use them.

i know that many ask fees for listing, still it would be profitable for every one, also for EDS as bigest stackholder. there are several serious exchanges (definently more serious as Tux) who would list CP assets for fee (i already asked some exchanges). maybe now/today you dont have anymore the financial possibilities to do that (thats why i called it as “not made homework”), but when Bittrex announced delisting the BCY price was high enough for doing that…
that bcy is tight to one product does not make it to security. now when it is not related to one certain product anymore and you are selling BCY relatively centralized it has almost all characteristics for beind security token. and dont forget: BCY is the ICO asset to finance SoG developement, so if you want to break this connection then there is technically even bigger issue…

SOG is the pioneer of cryptocollectibles. Im looking forward to how they innovate and create new things on bitcoin blockchain. They have a real advantage over many. Not many are offering tools and services on bitcoin blockchain. Everybody on eth. BNB chain is going to be so hyped up. Lol.

Ok so to summarize your point you think we should focus our leftover ressources on SOG and not on the BCY ecosystem (wallet, developers tools, asset creator...)

I believe with SOG we invented the game collectibles. A lot of project came after taking inspiration of what we done. A lot of good stuff emerged like rarepepe to bitcoin mafia wars and by extend Ethereum games. Book of Orbs is one of the most active inter game and collectible marketplace.
Me and the team are working on the tools that will allow tomorrow games to easily integrate with blockchain. From the asset creation, sales, distribution, analyse. Allowing the expression of creativity of not only game studios but everyone. I believe in the long run the sum of the value created will much higher than the scope of one game.
Allowing many to use our tools using BCY is much more powerful for the coin than the success of one product. Game have lifecycle and new product always outperform the previous. Giving a matketplace and a place of expression will help the whole industry moving forward. Don’t get me wrong I love SOG and I want to see it evolving. But if we want to realize the vision we need to move forward with the fundraising and the platform.

Not to say sog is dead if u can find anyone interested in making content for future updates

With regulations you have to be careful with how you raise crypto funds for your company. What im seeing the games do on Ethereum and enjin, they offering presales of in game collectibles and tools.

in general i get your point, just the way how you are doing it is a bit strange. i dont say that you have to focus on SoG and not on BCY ecosystem (even if i really still dont get what do you mean with that), i just say that it is easy to keep with minimum of ressources SoG living and to make it profitable. those funds you could easily use to develope also other things which are in your mind. SoG can be part of the ecosystem and in general until you have other massadaption product BCY ecosystem will be as good as nothing. if i would be some years ago one of the ICO investors (but i wasnt) and long time holder (yes i was), i would have all 1mio reasons to be really angry with your decision of “strategy change”. if you start to rise funds on the same “ecosystem” in new batch… i even dont want to know where it could end up…

Create a new in game currency/token that players can earn and be rewarded with. Do a presale. Create some more creatures or exclusive presale characters as well. Dont offer anything, or sale a dream. Create and sale things that are useful inside the ecosystem. A big turn off and let down for me, was when we couldn't use BCY inside the game.

quest stars were always after event finished gone, i dont believe it will be different this time.

I wonder if a companion app, not available through the playstore (given that's why BCY can't directly be used in SoG... Google wants their share of the app purchase pie) that converts between BCY and Gems for the game would be realistic ?

Or a crypto - friendly SoG app variant you dl through APK that only has that extra BCY-GEMS feature inside, but otherwise has the same leader board and progress for an account as the normal version.

there is a possibility to implement BCY to game without that any store can ban app from their stores. you just have to be creative and EDS even developed several features (maybe/probably without purpose to implement BCY) which would make it possible. those features/implementations would rise SoG popularity immense if you promote them trough social media.

I belive the idea of EDS is to build tools and then act as consultant for others (game studios, art creators, etc.) so they are less depend on the success of a product and can leverage the experience they own during this years as pionniers to help others, look at Ubisoft partnership, maybe something can happen here, by the way would be curious to know what is going on.
There is not so many people with their experience so their are placed good in the ecosystem to act as advisors. It is probably the best to do.
I'm sad for SoG but I believe the game never reach the point of self finance which is extremely hard to get with Swiss development due to the crazy costs here. Giving the licence to another studio to make a SoG reborn looks good and I would be super happy to use my actual cards on this game if it comes.
The all point of having this assets on chain is that there is always a possibility to use them in another game, let's see what happens on the coming crypto spring.

There is no possibility to take the stigmata away from BCY being a security. Especially if it was an ICO to fund a company. No way around it because it has already happened. Create a new token. Itergrate it with the game. Presale some and some some new cards. If you wanted to do away with it totally, swap it. But i think they will still look at the swap as being similar. So, keep BCY around and use it for what it's worth and good at. Hey, you might even can register as a security. Especially if that is an issue.

I dont agree with you fully. i dont think that there is no way to take away the stigmata of being security from BCY. Its for sure not a very easy way, but it is possible. the characteristics of being security token or not are mostly (not only!) based on 2 aspects: (de)centralisation and distribution. Also a usability is a important criterium, but stil a secondary one. if in all this classes token passes the security/utility check it will be one of those. it is not impossible to perform now existent structure of BCY (ecosystem?) so that it will be fully utility token, just some changes have to be made.
generating new token or swap BCY is in my opinion not a good idea since product(s) and the team will be exactly the same and it would not solve any problem. even opposite will probably happen and it causes lots of problems which are not yet fully there (but they are on the way). registering BCY as a clearly security token can cause same problems, but this would be a step which can also solve many problems consequent way. but doing that needs lots of preparation and work to avoid braeking the BCY system down totally.
i did not write about any tiny details, because i slowly get clear that they dont belong here to this chat and probably most of people are not interested about them anyway. it also keeps my essays a bit shorter. 😜

I said a swap would not be good. No exchange will touch BCY. No matter how you restructure it. Creating a new in game token/currency is the only fix. Not trying to cover or manipulate the structure of it.

Dividends i personally find senseless in cryptoworld and never was big fan of POS tokens or coins (which is also like a kind of dividend) neither. in burning i dont see any issue in general. but with burning like it is now with BCY should come some change. endless deflation has also huge disadvantages if it happens based on usage of this asset like it is with BCY.

a great marketing plan that would attract attention and create good feedback would be to personify a global event in the month and then make a card, for example the news of this month is: venezuela. and create a card called "Resistance" , or "Freedom" ...

CT has a sweep but it takes 26 sat/byte and its fixed. Sweeping all wallet will cost fortune, easier to do it manually.

@kolmansoifer @cryptojerks CT uses bip39 that is now a industry standard all modern wallet are using bip39. Newly created wallet will make a bip39. Counterwallet is not using any standard as it was developed before bip39.

CT is compatible with counterparty legacy passphrase generation but new created wallet will generate bip39

it is a big question for casa tookan. Either we generate counterwallet legacy address (that will make it work with counterwallet only) or we use bip39 which is industry standard for wallets. I think generating counterwallet only passphrase is not a good idea

why do you repeat the prices again? Peacock card was a reward not long ago already.

Prices depends on the rarity a lot, and we plan water cards this month.

If ou check rewards of last year, some cards had been proposed on 1 or more leaderboard. It's not a problem.

in general it is that every better are prices thet more are people ready to spend time and some money for gems. if the prices are repeating and spendable players already won the card prviously, then they can also just say “ok no need this month to spend so much”. that is the main issue when you are repeating prices… just as a suggestion. put any card which never was to win (or even create a card only for leaderboard prices!) and people will spend much more to get them.

I understand ^^ then fight to win the card you do not have :p
