You just have to send a broadcast from the wallet with your XDP. You're not actually spending the XDP, it just signifies how many votes you get. 1 XDP = 1 vote. So if you have 50 XDP, you can do a broadcast for up to 50 votes.

I personally feel we should put an XDP fee on numeric assets to make numeric assets pay an XDP fee, just like named assets... and tack on a small per-issuance XDP fee... this discourages spamming of numeric assets cuz they are "free" (no XDP required), and treats all the assets in the system the same, by charging an XDP fee.

0.50 XDP fee for the initial issuance of a named assets (unchanged)
0.25 XDP fee for the initial issuance of a sub-asset (unchanged)
0.10 XDP fee for the initial issuance of a numeric asset.
0.01 XDP fee for all other updates to the issuances table. -

Hi all. Some new features/updates will be rolling out shortly for the Dogeparty protocol & Dogewallet.
One such update that has yet to be decided is whether or not a 0.1 XDP fee should be required for the registration of numeric assets in Dogeparty (currently they require only a transaction fee).
The reason for adding this fee is to diminish the potential for spam & abuse of numeric assets, which has caused significant problems for Counterparty in the past.
Because Dogecoin transactions are much cheaper, this potential is greatly amplified, possibly leading to negative effects for all Dogeparty users.
Pros: Limitation of numeric asset spam, adds utility to XDP as an anti-spam mechanism
Cons: Requires purchase of XDP for registration of numeric assets, Dogecoin Stamps & other uses slightly inhibited -
I think it's a great idea.

SRC-20 caused some real headaches for the Counterparty devs & average users as well. Because $DOGE is so much cheaper & faster than $BTC, building such a protocol on Dogeparty could result in problems for all Dogeparty users. It can still be executed, but will require its users to have at least a minimal investment in the success of XDP. This is why I am personally for adding the fee.
