I don't think that wide distribution of exploits could harm the game. All suspicious pattern quickly become visible and almost everything can be reverted. As of reputation risks, I believe that only loyal players stay at the moment. But also I agree that team velocity/capacity should be extended to support reliable time to market.

Missed you last night when I was sleeping and you where around, but having been part of the SoG community since just prior to the ICO just wanted to drop my 2 cents worth.

I think for the size of the SoG/EDS team and for being one of the first to explore and jump in fully with offering a mobile game in which the end users own their in game assets, EDS have done extremely well. Yes there are a lot of things that could be done better, should have been done better or never even been done. That being said, there have been many possitive results too, one of which is EDS have listened to the player base, EDS have surveyed the player base and most of all every member of EDS staff I have had contact with have been extremely passionate and commited to the long term vision. That in itself will have EDS succeed long term, even if it doesn't happen to be with SoG.

I will point out though, my game play has reduced a fair bit in the recent months as I have never been able to get 1 star on the final campaign which has had me loose that addictive desire to play all day every day, but I stress it has reduced not stopped. I do feel that the overall playability and game enjoyment are being done fairly well. I strongly believe though, that you are right about needing to improve marketing. I feel EDS need to greatly improve marketing of SoG in the direction of the non blockchain community, as I read a lot in crypto news about SoG, never in non blockchain gaming news. Though I dont see the non blockchain community will get hooked until what I see as SoG's largest limiting factor is resolved. Which is the inability for players to buy and sell cards directly within the SoG game interface. Non blockchain literate players need the simplicity of a all in one interface. Unfortuantely as I understand it and correct me if I am wrong, but the main reason it has never been able to be implimented is due to the limitation that Apple and their app store requirements and rules for in game sales, as they can't take their cut marketplaces within apps.

Who knows. It is one of the issues that Pokemon TCG have with their iOS client app. You can't redeem the QR code you get in the physical packs of cards, but on android and the web client you can. The other game I used to play was hit with similar limitations on iOS and you had to fund your account via the web and then buy using the in game currency and store. So not sure of the exact details, but know Apple put some painful limitations to ensure they get their cut.

Let's give my point on the yesterday evening discussion also 😋 I believe EDS have a great roadmap for BCY but is true not much is communicated, maybe they have secrets ^^ or simply want to surprise us.

If we put all the pieces of informations we got in the telegram from Shaban it looks promising for the ecosystem.
Partnerships with game developers wanting to put blockchain aspects to their game leveraging the BCY ecosystem like Soap Arena. Combined with their incoming dapp browser and wallet for both XCP and ETH, it looks very exciting to me.

I believe SoG is just a starting point, kind of experiment but the real value is on the ecosystem they builds and the experience their Dev accumulated.

I completely agree obtaining BCY is too complex for people out of the crypto sphere. This is probably a blocking point to on-board or keep new players even their last survey published in May didn't reflect enough this aspect because I believe people that answered are mainly crypto enthusiasts. Hopefully this will be addressed in their new wallet or if Google and Apple change their mind.

In the crypto what matters is the amount of devs. Other issues are just technical and can be solved. Did you look at the road map of eth in terms of virtual machine, off chaining, side chaining, Casper, sharding. Things are moving. ETH have power of their alliance behind. I believe they will succeed on the scalability over the years but I can be wrong, let's see.

There will be minor pumps at some point - there always is. Maybe use that as opportunity to exit stage left 😉

The monthly leaderboard needs to be rejigged somehow - to even out the playing field for all. All it shows is who spent the most $$.
