has there been any consideration to get BCY listed on cryptopia?
-
would cost around 7 BTC at current prices, subject to review
-
How I dont know to withdraw BCY to casa tookan ? Who help me
-
Have you created a wallet on casa tookan already?
-
I only see wallet btc and eth
-
Only have add btc and eth
-
Not add bcy
-
You send the bcy to the btc address and it will show up.
The casa wallet will be able to detect that it is a bitcoin (counterparty) token and you'll see a BCY balance. -
Start with a small amount if you would like to test.

👍 but 7btc I think is too much - but I think team should talk - maybe any discount :P

Costs a lot.

So you need large volume on small exchanges first.

according to a bytecent dev post (coin is delisting today), once trex decides to delist, the decision is final, you cant trade your way out of it....you can only hope to relist in a few months by going through the process again
-
just FYI
-
-
maybe but will be better for further listings (anywhere) to have ability to show higher volume than lower ;)

It's not just BCY that got delisted, it's larhe projrcts like Omni too (tether runs on omni). The issue is you need to get an attorney to verifiy the token/asset is not s security and is for utility. There needs to be a compelling case for that
Otherwise there are many other exchanges, some.listing fees sre small, like 0.1btc. Moving to any other chain won't change this fact.
It's a great project but control of the liquidity avenues is dependant on the launchers of the project to either fill in paperwork or reach out to more permissive exchanges. -
rvn and FLO are doing pretty good recovering with the Tzero announcements that will be used as DLT or receipt on blockchain for Tzero platform , see you on the Moon
-
coindeal is open look at it and safex marketplace is soon to start leave omni for their own mainet already running
-
There's MCAT, MPMA & segwit, in the works. plus less on chain activity when LN hits and inter-exchange liquid adoption ramps up.
And yeah, to some degree XCP can interact with LN
Fees are low already if you manually select and wait a little -
yeah seen a lot of it but my asset have all near zero value on dex
-
the fee is almost more valuable than them
-
fldc is doing better than all of this even if is only a token on xcp
-
and Flo don't need a layer to make token because RVN is already doing that , it just is the receipt holder of the Tzero platform that everyone hopes will do good for crypto
-
still like the way crypto fully destry projects with a delisting or 2
-
when binance will stop moving just about any pump scheme out there ....
-
As I understand RVN does not have a token platform. This is just a planned feature
Also as I understand tzero is constrained in the way it cojld interface or interact with RVN due to regulatory structures.
I would be concerned at the OSTK affiliation if you read through the previous announcement. Tzero was claimed to be built on counterparty by Overstock CEO, at inside bitcoins conference, bloomberg, wired etc. 4 years later and tzero is launched then this news comes out with RVN being the new pump, and yet the platform does not even have a battle tested asset layer, they're talking about things like solidity smart contracts XCP already demoed 4 years ago and people are currently buying the rumor. -
flo are not claims Tzero CEO there are transaction with timestamped receipt , and is there a video for the Flo on the tzero site telling the coin is being actively used in tzero projet but still you know all of this , and xcp is at a new low
-
not here to sell just saying what is what
-
still lost a good 10 BTC because i believe XCP was a good bet
-
and bcy for a good year took that from me , a game is a game but if is too long is tiring , bye best luck to you all
-
Oh yeah, I like the projects but it's essentially majority controlled by Patrick byrne.
Just saying he does not have the best track record with sticking with promises or claims long term so excercise caution because that is one of the main 'selling points' giving investors confidence right now. investors got confidence in XCP due to tzero then Overstock dumped, so he helped lose a lot of people money not sticking to the public claims of "investing millions" "integrating medici etc"
No doubt there's more money to be made trading the hype, buy the rumor sell the news and all that.
XCP is not known or well utilized, it's not a pumpers coin. It is extremely underappreciated and it won't attract any bulk interest until it gets to a decent liquidity avenue, for example binance.
At least with the regulatory crackdown open source projects with no ICO like DCR, RVN are getting listed on exchanges, so it's a good sign for counterparty. It's main problem was lack of PR.
Development is also picking up. In the last months more activity on the github than in the entire last year, and there's a few new projects built upon it that have relatively high DaU/ MAU. Bit Crystals was voted the best block chain game out of all platforms in a recent comparison.
It's a slow road but it's early days for crypto and even earlier days for blockchain games sometimes things take years to unfold. Ask anyone buying ltc, xmr, xrp, apple stock etc. -
done it for 3 years and survived no need to ask history is written always by the richest in a way or the other
-
and crypto aren't the richest for a reason
-
but reading of a usd crypto surrogate there is a lot get mine around maybe xcp didn't get the good people to buy in this , error are made only in the past for a reason , because if you know the future you would never do that
-
you are saying Flo is bought by patrick byrne alone ? and this is the price he could achieve ? have you some insider in his financial on FLO account ? people you really don't know have told you ?P
-
jesus i know at least 10 / 144 reason because flo will go in the upper limit but knowing all the others is not relly , believe and don't just don't , here i lost good time
-
-
-
does anyone knows what time, BCY will be delisted from bittrex at the 26th of October? Delisted means that trading will stop, or also withdraws will be disabled?
-
Is there a BCY wallet?
-
Yes, there are multiple. Casa tookan for example
-
and all of the 8 CounterParty wallets listed here. https://counterparty.io/wallets/ support BCY
Casa tookan is the most recommended for BCY, but Indiesquare or Freewallet are also great Indiesquare is well suited for mobile use, Freewallet is multiplatform. You can easily send from one wallet to another or even use a web wallet like counterwallet anywhere without downloading anything (just need a seed, like electrum) -
No problem.
Delisting is unfortunate, BCY is not the only one suffering, bigger projects like Omni (tether runs on omni) also delisted
but these US based exchanges have had to exercise extra caution with listing anything resembling an ICO, because of the thousands (4500 tokens created in one month for example) of shit ICO projects on ETH. literally more than 95% which have lost value, this is one of the main reasons for the crash of all these ICO issuers cashing out and inflow cracked down upon
the exchanges don't wish to get negative attention from regulatory bodies.
As long as BCY is not intended or designed to be a security and actually has a utility/game mechanic it has the chance to be relisted. BCY team just have to get an attorney to testify this,
they can also reach out to other exchanges if they are concerned about the long term future of the project, its important to have some liquidity source where users can acquire game tokens.
TLDR the problem is solvable -

I think delisting will actually result in a bunch if "pie in the sky bag holders" actually looking at what Bitcrystals actually are used for. Exchange investors who have never played an EDS game finding what they're all about. What do I know though. The team really should be releasing _a'table_ ASAP at this point to capitalize on the binance delisting.

We are working on A table ! and hopefully, release it as soon as it is ready 😀

This Casa Tookan screen "Sign In" is for the option that you already have a created Counterparty/bitcoin wallet. If it is the case, then you can input your "passphrase" (or "seedphrase") to access your wallet (kind of login).
-
If you do not have a created Counterparty/bitcoin wallet yet, then choose the option "Sign Up" at Casa Tookan's launch.
In the process do not forget to write down on paper your passphrase. -
-
-
-
-
just to be sure:
do you already have a Counterparty/bitcoin wallet?
YES => Sign in, and you should be able to input the passphrase to login
NO => Sign up and the passphrase is created for you (+ write it down) -
Then see your "wallet address" (= public key), this is the target/recipient one you should indicate in the Bitrex "Withdrawal" process
-

Hi all, last night, I sent my bcy from bittrex to the btc address in my casa tookan wallet and when I checked this morning, the balance is still 0. Please help!!!
-
Hi, it might be because the withdraw and transaction takes time. I suggest that you wait a little bit more
-
Just wanted to see if it took a long time for other people as well. But I did it the right way, correct? Sending the bcy to the btc address in casa tookan?

Hi there, you can store your bcy into any wallet compatible with counterparty. Of course first one is Casa Tookan, the new wallet we just release. And you should also know Book of Orbs. You can also use Indiesquare or Counterwallet too. Thanks 😊❤

Book of Orbs says “Good bye”…
We’re very sad to announce you that we decided to discontinue the operation of Book of Orbs. Sadly, its dependencies on third-part services…

Hello @fuunyk
-
ok, I got your message
-
As you only address them and talking about private past discussion you had (or not, I was not here) with them, then yes it's private ^^ but if you think I am ridiculous, please feel free 😘
-
For the view of @fuunyK
-
The core point was about the decision to stay on counterparty (& implicitly bitcoin) or to move to another blockchain, in this case Ethereum with ERC-20.
-
It is true that last year the bitcoin fees were very high and for a long periods a barrier to transactions. Today it is changed: yesterday my Ethereum tests were around 55 cents with Ethereum gas, and all my counterparty transactions were done with 2 cents (some quick, other max 3 hours). So the main problem of last year is now solved for counterparty/bitcoin vs. Ethereum.
-
Is counterparty such "difficult to handle for exchanges." & "a useless cost for the exchanges", that it was the main point for delisting? Volume is perhaps one more important. But for the other "BCY is considered as security", putting it on another blockchain will not improve.
-
But we anyway positioned this year EDS on Ethereum (a new game in work) and the dual-chain wallet, with the intention to bring the BitCrystals swap between these 2 blockchains (our analysis showed that complete migration brings other challenges). I agree that perhaps this could have been prioritized before other tasks. Difficult to be sure. But our way to keep giving value to BCY with our dual-chains products seems further correct for me. And BoO with 15 games & collections stays a blockchain-gaming service with correct numbers of users. Feedback from exchange on specialised events confirmed it. (& new ones will be added)
-
Another point for the BCY value is the initial one: the success of the game Spells of Genesis. We further work on this and particularly on the requests of our new publisher EGG (here as well, a publisher change with adaptation takes time).
-
So we have a lot of challenges, but we know that for blockchain in general & in blockchain gaming it is a tough period now, end of the year. BCY is under pressure and our concerns. And here again, within the blockchain gaming community, we are considered as one of the companies doing right.

Speaking from our own experience, keeping listings using counterparty tokens is very difficult. Bill from Bittrex told us they dont make enough money from counterparty tokens. Even the DEX was dropped as an 'exchange' from coinmarketcap.
I can tell you there's a huge misconception that exchanges will add just any token, even for paid listings. Counterparty is not easy for exchanges to add, the technology stack is much different from other coins and erc contracts, so exchanges dont really want to put in the effort to add it.
EDS is doing the best they can, I think overall though counterparty is facing a lot of challenges with the time it takes the dev team to innovate and keep up with other platforms. -
time delist BCY

We don’t know the time

last pump?)

I several project that I advised games using ERC failed to get listed as well. It doesn’t come from technology but because of project proliferation
-
Agreed, that too. SoG is wildly successful, so I think its a combination of things. I don't think ethereum is always the answer to these challenges, like you say, there are several eth/erc tokens that dont get listed either.

If BCY has higher volume it should be more cost-efficient - I think enough.

We failed as community

If we follow what one of us say (Paul?) About making volume.. I think even bittrex delist it would give very big chance to list again soon

Bit of a disingenuous message
Bittrexx just delisted Omni too.
Tether is an Omni token with billions of dollars of daily volume.
Do you think exchanges "don't make enough money" from Tether trading fees and that's the reason for delisting? Obviously not in that circumstance
The popularity of a token isn't reliant on the underlying tech stack, (although it's to ubiquity and standardization/acceptance helps) especially as large swathes of users don't even withdraw to external wallets and only keep-on exchange. Sure you could create some crap ERC token and watch it get a sky high valuation with a whitepaper and a listing on huobi throughout the last year but that was mainly just money sloshing around, plenty of it trying to arbitrage, or daytrade-- those days are starting to be over and investors are getting more savvy.
ERC tokens are getting the most scrutiny going forward, so sophisticated exchanges are looking to list open-source utility projects that actually exist not just a whitepaper idea, that are fair, that have a purpose. Just look at binances last FREE listings for evidence things are starting to go in a better direction. -
And speaking of 'exchanges not being able to add XCP'
Binance managed to add an XCP token just fine, which was getting plenty of daily volume- XCP was getting more than $20 mill at the beginning of the year
Bitrex and Poloniex and Tux, Zaif also were competent enough to integrate. I think it says more about the skill level of an exchange which cannot integrate and can only add ERC tokens about their technical ability and understanding of the whole landscape beyond tokens
but back to volume, and therefore profitability bittrex has demonstrably lost over 90% of active users/activity across the board in this bearish year as per stats. That may well change as investors seek regulated exchanges or markets turn bullish or it may well not.
most of the remaining volume in the interim has migrated to asian exchanges, for now many of which are wash trading, low fees or outright faked volume.
In general, activity everywhere died down since peaks near dec 2017, this was kick-started by ICO issuers receiving regulatory notices and panicking- fearing a crackdown they exit the market en masse
Since ethereum is a higher mkt cap coin, with higher liquidity it's costs very little effort or skill to integrate another ERC* token on top. Of course exchanges prefer this, because it's less work and cost for them. XCP in it's current form is not 100% standard bitcoin but it is absolutely understandable to anyone who understands how to implement and maintain a vanilla btc node and any competent exchange can do it.
There's an update in the pipeline to standardize/modernize this stack which should improve the situation quite a bit on that front.
exchanges might not get as much of a long tail of apps on XCP than on ETH but that is true of every other platform that isn't ethereum too. It's also a positive feedback loop. Something needs to be popular before people start building upon it.
There's identical projects on counterparty and ethereum, like pepecash for example. Might not be crazy popular on either chain but the multiple clone versions on ethereum have less activity and interest than XCP
And personally as someone that runs both an ethereum node and a counterparty node I have less setup and hassle maintaining the bitcoin version than keeping the ethereum one ahead. As mentioned above, the argument about 'ethereum being cheaper' is hardly true either, and with segwit, MCAT, MPMA, plus reduced traffic from liquid inter-exchange tx and LN I'd say it's not bad looking in future. -
Shape Shift delisted a few pairs and in the meantime, two alternative instant exchangers added XCP (one in the past week) without the same controversy as shapeshift
CMC doesn't show DEX volume. Which I would be mad at if I launched a token/ on the DEX, I can see your point but other aggregators have added DEX support, blockfolio for instance if users want to check their rustbits value or any other token. Not all decentralized exchanges, nor centralized exchanges are computed by CMC. More likely to be included if you have a high volume, which is what incentives some (most) exchanges to wash-trade. -
I don't see how it was disingenuous when I was explaining what my own experiences have been. Adoption into counterparty is a nightmare. If it wasn't for Book of Orbs and EDS, players would be lost trying to get tokens since the DEX is about as useful as match underwater.
My point was that, I don't think blaming EDS for getting delisted on Bittrex is fair or makes any sense. -
I think the insinuation that "keeping listings using counterparty tokens is difficult" perhaps comes from a personal viewpoint/experience with AoR, given that you are migrating to enjin. That's fair enough if it is a personal opinion but there is no evidence delisting was because supporting it was "too difficult" for the exchange, it would be fairer to cite regulatory shifts, or volume/profitability IMO
Also the points about CMC and shape shift removal but no mention of inclusion in popular alternatives
not for a second blaming EDS for delisting. BYC could have launched on Enjin or Ethereum and faced the same problems, not their fault at all. -
