Interesting reading the convo and discussion about growth on doge.
I think doge is amazing, my 2 cents on this is:
Projects like Pepe have rare Pepe which have been around from 2016, so 1000s of ideas have already been done via Pepe, creativity on that was arguably higher as it was a brand new area, all new ideas, plus that was made when NFTs were not booming and people traded them for “fun” alone, not profit.
Because Doge is new nothing has been done. That’s awesome but also that leaves it open to just browsing RPW and copying what was done for Pepe and throwing a doge on it haha…
Or pick a movie. Throw a doge on it 😂🤷♂️
Pick a famous art work, make it into a doge.
That’s not throwing any shade at all, I’ve made a movie parody card myself (in rejects) and a fine art portrait in doge, but doge is far newer so ultimately the creation process is in its early stages, this is art and that’s fine.
For me I like things that are “in the moment” time relevant, specific to the niche. A meme or a play on a moment in time speak more, but again that’s just me.
Finally pepes are on BTC earning in BTC is appealing, so maybe creators moving to that for BTC?
I’ve also noticed with every directory launch there’s an aggressive rush to be in the early series as these cards, typically collect more over time. Later series cards, not so much, until you get much further along in time. Again just an observation. -

Thank you guys, @geordie_shorty and @zimablueart . I just made a research recently and found out what @Bluboee pointed also at. And my own work proofs that tendency, - ppl want cute bright funny. Or copies of old/new art masterpieces with doge/pepe. Last one is so taken already and I just don’t want to copy, so I will just try and focus on cuties, like Bo. He was actually most popular cards of mine.
I just go emotional cuz I understand myself that my watercolours aren’t the best. It’s true. I myself like Bo more than others but still see it’s not perfect.
It’s ok. I just need to evolve more into cute characters, and I like it actually more than anything else…so well, that should mean it’s right.
The only thing that I’m afraid of is animation. I did animate my last watercolour for pepe project and it was crazy difficult to animate an IRL. I was working on it for 4 weeks.
I’m considering to switch to only digital. Maybe. I’m not sure. -

For me it's all about the UX. It's too complicated w DP wallet. Hopefully it gets simpler with RareDogeWallet.com. can't expect normies to use the current wallet. -
Dispensers, while functional, are very poor UX too. Doesn't display the asset image, risky race condition, open dispensers get lost,l in a sea of purposefully closed l/fraudulent dispensers

Another point of thinking might be the "we need to have both wallets open for trades at the same time or something like that" thing. How it works with rarepepewallet is great and makes trades easier. And talking to others isnt a solution. It takes time. Opening conversation, waiting from the others across the world to wake up. Sometimes you get spammed with shitty offers. And all this for a card of 5-10$ it doesnt worth it if crypto is not you only life... -

The way I value new NFTs is by time and supply.
Let’s say the art took 10 hours to make, supply is a 100, what is a reasonable price for the artist per hour.
Every artist has a different rate based on popularity, history, etc…
If you say their time is worth $50 an hour, that would be a marketcap of $500 or $5 per NFT to start.
So 25 Doge for an issuance of 100 haha, 12.5 for 200 issuance.
Then maybe a multiplier of what’s fair for being included in RareDoge.
Let’s say 3X.
So 75 Doge to start distribution of 100 issuance card.
Obviously, more popular or known artists can have a much higher base hourly price. -
Is that fair? I don’t know, but that’s what goes on in my head when deciding what’s a fair price or not.
