I updated to 9.33 yesterday, and now I cannot get anything to refresh
I signed out, re-imported my seed and my various PK's
Stuck on last refresh 7 months ago
Nothing will update, my own assets, history, dispensers, nothing
I have reset server settings to defaults and that now goes to tokenscan.io instead of xchain.io
Anyone else had this issue?
Is there a known fix?

check the debug console... sounds like it is probably an issue with requests being blocked on your computer -

in debug console... if you see a bunch of red lines indicating failures... prolly your net connection being blocked.. perhaps have to uninstall it completely and re-download and install again... then tell MacOS to run the app

It's working fine now after another restart, with no security software active.
I had turned off BitDefender Shield earlier, but I had not restarted the Mac, only FreeWallet...
Now after a system restart, with BDS permanently disabled, it is working.
Previous version of FW was working with the BDS enabled, until I installed 9.33 and allowed it, that is why I did not think that was blocking it earlier. -

The little green indicator in the corner says that the API is up and working fine…. It only turns green after it makes a request to the API and determines that it is caught up.

Hey guys, do you know why freewallet does not show btc balance on some of the addresses? -
the BTC balance is retrieved via a 3rd party API.... could be that the API request to get the BTC balance is failing... there are 3 failovers, so it SHOULD show btc balance always.... perhaps some of your API requests are being blocked? check your debug console n see if you see some red stuff indicating API request failures

- you can either manually update the Desktop version by going to Freewallet.io
- or click the Freewallet logo in the upper left of the Desktop version and then the Update button

the issue here is the JSON file for the PEPE Project points to an invalid image url..... instead of pointing to an actual image, it points to a webpage... which is NOT what the file is supposed to contain... so, the code detects that this card is associated with the project, but when it goes to download the card itself, it is not able to... because the JSON does not point the image file for the script to download

@pappyG45 Please verify that all the image links in your JSON file actually point to the full image url itself, including the image extension (gif, jpg, png, etc).... if you can A.) make a list of all the asset names in the file which do not point to images... B.) Update the JSON file to use correct urls C.) Let me know when the JSON file has been corrected and the list of asset names to reparse for image data.... I can fix things on my end

@Arvik78 TLDR.. this is not an issue with xchain,. but rather an issue with the JSON file not being properly formatted for the project... its on the pepe project to correct... til then, the images will remain broken

I had the ISS with some in the past and when i subbed them on another directory,it automatically corrected the image visibility on xchain

Xchain/tokenscan displays directly from project json as to issue green banners, if the project json had a larger/smaller image than the image created by artist, the smaller/larger image would be displayed, as the json overrides asset description made by artist.

yes once a card is accepted to a project, then that project json determines what image to show... so that you can't get a piece of artwork accepted to a project, get the green banner, then have the artwork change to something entirely different

yeah.. always had plans to adopt freewallet-desktop into a mobile friendly version... gonna need to do it for xchain platform wallet, so in theory, those udpates could be ported back to freewallet to make it mobile friendly 🙂

Sounds like a firewall or an issue with your computer not being able to make requests to get updates from the API

Can i import my freewallet passprhase into another type of wallet?
I tried, but some words not working because new wallet suggest me another words -
no... the passphrase is not portable to a non-counterparty compatible wallet... however you can dump private keys for any address in freewallet and import that private key to get access to a specific wallet address

You should be able to send all your btc from your address to your address in freewallet minus the tx fee n have it work…. But sometimes cp still throws not enough btc errors…. So electrum is best

Has there been some issues with FreeWallet randomly crashing on ios? Every time i try to enter my mnemonic, it just crashes. I’ve cleared the cache, completely deleted it, done a hard reset on my device and downloaded it again with the same results. Miss being able to use free wallet, just wondering if anyone else has run into this lately? I never had this issue until recently… come to think of it, it was after i updated to the most recent ios which is beta 18.0 -

on desktop:
- it could be you put too many api requests for data (clicking around fast while it pulls token information from tokenscan)
- you can try restarting Freewallet or your Computer then trying again
- you can always manually search for DEX pairs in the search bar such as "BREITBARTPEP/XCP" if the markets tab you are looking for is having trouble loading -
the third point mentioned above for manually searching is especially helpful if no orders for that pair have existed just yet - searching for it manually will allow you to create a market pair and set a buy or sell price for any token.... such as "TEST/CCSATOSHI"

As long as it has more than a supply of 0 it should show up a couple minutes after the block is confirmed. You can always restart Freewallet if it doesn't show up with that timeframe

yeah... issue is imgur is saying too many requests from the tokenscan.io main image server... working on tracking down exactly what is making too many requests... adding some debugging code to log imgur requests... my code "should" only be making requests for new images... n imgur allows like 20 requests / minute.. so something is awry 😛

I closed the dispenser, and the transaction in Bitcoin was confirmed (3 Confirmations), but in tokenscan, the status is still "Closing." I can not create a new dispenser till the status will change. Should I wait a bit more confirms? -

I haven't been using it too heavily. Once in a while I click a few links from the wallet to view assets on sale at the exchange, such as this one:

Dispensers are not being displayed (I can see them on Freewallet on the other PC, but not the PC with the problems in Freewallet).
I noticed when I reinstalled Freewallet, the passphrase was already entered. Is it possible the problem was carried through even after the re-install? -
The reinstall installed all files again but didn’t blow away the localStorage data…. Guess you could logout entirely n try to login again n see if that fixes….

1. Logged out of freewallet.
2. Uninstalled freewallet.
3. Rebooted PC (Windows 11).
4. Installed freewallet
5. Logged in to freewallet
6. Balances appear correct, but freewallet does not display my dispensers or any exchange info.
