When u say "rebrand"... we are keeping Wally The Wallet right?
I swear to god if you harm Wally im forking... not regular fork either. One of those big BBQ grill ones with a wooden handle.
Wally is King 🤴 🙌 -
What’s Wally ?

I made a voice for him
-
Is there a website I can check more of Wally ?
-
That’s Freewallet logo
-
If you are asking if he has an only fans, i'm pretty sure he does not
-
we can keep wally but want to distance the wallet from the brand "FreeWallet" as freewallet.org is a scam wallet and it has lots of blowback on our wallet.... https://www.trustpilot.com/review/freewallet.io lots of users confuse the wallet and so we get all the negative reviews from the other wallet.... been a number of years waiting for the other wallet to disappear but its staying and continuing to scam... so prolly best to just rebrand it to some other name... open to suggestions... but def keeping wally the wallet.... ppl have come to recognize the brand (even tho some hate him and call him unprofessional) 😛FreeWallet is rated "Bad" with 1.5 / 5 on Trustpilot

So thats a new scam i haven't seen before... saying I have legal stuff I need to review... takes you to a site which tries to get you to download a "CourtViewer.exe" file, which inevitably has malware and remote control software embedded in it.... be careful out ther ppl... even one mistake of running a bad EXE and you could lose everything you have worked so hard to get
-
and no... I didn't fall for it.. I run a mac not windows, and dont download or run random shit 😛

Two or three times now, I tried to create a dispenser on an unused Bitcoin address that I manually entered. After I hit submit it changed to the address I was using, logged into. Is this a protocol issue?
-
you cannot create a dispenser on a new address anymore since the v10 update around October of last year. You are now forced on a protocol level to create a dispenser only on the address you are selected on in FreeWallet. This means you will have to manually send BTC and the asset to this new address then create the dispenser from that new address itself. Let me know if this helps, it also explained in the user manual

-
🙏 thanks
-
I feel like this is a quiet coup... are you trying to attack vector the sovereignty of Wally The Wallet?
-
Are you loyal to Wally @Arvik78

Scammer trying to dm me as a FreeWallet helper
-
Fake Jdog 😂
-
Always be careful.
make sure you know who you're talking to -
Could be api issues with the api that pulls BTC balances…. Try changing your ip address (vpn) n see if that helps
-
VPN yes that fixed it immediately and I changed some settings loll
Hopefully I didnt screw anything up
Most of it seems like fluff not anything important?
In settings could I screw something up ? Haha -
I was real scientist and tried 19 things then it worked
So I probably had to wait haha -
Oh ya I didn’t talk to him
The fact that he pops right in my DMs lol 😂 ridiculous

Can’t issue JSON on FreeWallet rn
Don’t know why i did one then now error broadcasting !? -
Did you do a bunch of transactions this morning? Or do you have a bunch of pending transactions chain together?
It could be that you’re hitting the limit on how many transactions you can broadcast per hour through the third-party service…. Or it could be that you have too many transactions chain and so the network is rejecting your latest transaction until some other ones settle. -
the fake Jdog blocked me. they couldn’t handle the unadulterated autism hitting his inbox
-
So annoying ha lol

yo what api host and cp host are u using for freewallet? - keep getting “Counterparty API communication error!” I have the defaults selected and have newest freewallet version
-
Fake jdog was quick to dm me
-
Sheit I gotta update the ssl cert on that server as well…. Gimme 45 mins… eating dinner then will handle it…
Auto renewing the SSL certificate it’s kind of shooting me in the foot cause I didn’t get any notification about the renewal and so the server is continued using the old SSL pass its expiration date today.
Luckily, shit like this only happens once a year with ssl certs😜 -
Ugh… you got a username? Wanna make sure I keep the ban list up to date so they can’t view chats in here…. Makes it a lil more difficult on them
-
I blocked them instantly so didn’t catch user name
-
-
Hey api error on FreeWallet ? Is that just a me thing ?
-
Can’t do anything right now
-
should be fixed now... got busy after dinner chatting with my girl... just updated the SSL cert and freewallet and public.tokenscan.io APIs should be working again 🙂

Getting error trying to close a disp
Counterparty api ereor(s)
No Utxo found for "address", provide utxos with the inputs_set parametwe -
yup... that error is coming direct from counterparty API... or more specifically from the 3rd party service (electrs) which counterparty now relies on for getting its UTXO info.... they ripped out addrindexrs and replaced it with a dependency on a 3rd party service
-
make sure you have some BTC in the address your trying to close the dispenser on.... or try switching to the origin address and closing the dispenser from that address
-
I sent btc and send was valid
-
Only $1 tho but that was enough few days ago
-
yeah... cant really answer why your getting that error as it comes from the CP API.... so gotta ask adam and his team, and they will prolly say the same thing... send moar btc to the address
-
Can't ask in 2.0 chat also as banned hahaha, for sharing a previous issue
-
I'll try send moar btc
-
- 07 June 2025 (5 messages)
-
worked by sending more btc, gonna be more costly sending btc back and forth lol, few days ago sending $1 was enough to close and send asset back
-
Must have been address specific, $1 worked on a different dispenser address
-
Freewallet currently uses satoshis as the unit, where 0.00000001 is shown as 1. I'm not used to this. How can I change it to display using 1 BTC as the unit?
-
Could be based on how many UTX9s you have an address…. Each UTXO grows the transaction so Moore UTXO is equal larger transaction equal large transaction fee required.
-
Where are you talking about that happening? I’ve never heard this complaint before or someone wanting to change to display things as one BTC instead of 1.000000 BTC
- 08 June 2025 (23 messages)

-
Sell 4 XCP at a price of 15,250 BTC, total transaction: 61,000 BTC. These large numbers are really hard to comprehend.
-
Wow, that’s crazy. I’ve never seen it displayed like that in the wallet. Have you tried closing the wallet and reopening it?
-
I guess I could sell 4xcp for 15k Bitcoin.
But just once 😎 -
It's like this every time I open it.
-
Are you sure you’re on the latest version of the wallet?
I’m at a car show for a couple hours with my 442 but once I get back to the office, I can take a look into it -
Yes, my operating system is the Chinese version of Windows 10.
-
Is it just on your trade history page or does the decentralized exchange page listing in that manner as well?
-
The trading panel shows the same thing, and I can't place any orders.
-
For a long time now,I couldn't find the dex part of my free wallet, where to place orders or accept order ,it's just not working I don't know what's happening ...
-
-
I haven’t been able to buy anything with 0.2 BTC for several months. It keeps saying that only whole numbers are allowed. I thought it was the same for everyone and that I just didn’t know how to use it.
-
-
I’ve had the exact same issue for a long time. Hope to see a solution soon
-
It looks like somehow the wallets become confused and it thinks that BTC is non-divisible so it’s only showing whole coins instead of Satoshi’s
-
Can you create a GitHub issue for this and I’ll take a look at it on Monday? I haven’t updated the wallet in probably six months but maybe it’s time for me to put out a new release and fix some of these minor issues…..
By the way, you really shouldn’t be using BTC on the decks as it’s a pain in the ass and requires auto BTC pay and keeping the wall open to listen for order matches …
If you wanna sell something for Bitcoin, you should be using dispensers -
I think your unit isn't 1 BTC, but 1 satoshi.
-
The one you mentioned only allows sell orders, not buy orders.
My English isn't good, so I'm unable to create the GitHub you mentioned. -
Mine isn't showing this feature
-
Yes we are trying to place btc bids not sell orders
-
Can you create an issue please complete with screenshots and a description of exactly what you’re trying to do and I’ll see if I can reproduce it in the wallet this week
-
I don’t have my laptop for the next few days but the issue is simply that placing any kind of btc bid fails as Da bin described
-
Ok…. The thing is I am working on a ton of different stuff and so when it comes time to work on freewallet I simply open up the issues and look through what issues people have reported so unless it’s documented, they probably won’t get fixed, as my memory is shit and I am working on a ton of different stuff at the same time…
I vaguely recall someone created an issue like this a while ago, so maybe it’s already documented… when you get your laptop back if you could go ahead and create a github issue that would be much appreciated - 10 June 2025 (5 messages)

ok, thanks for that... so its logged.. next time I am updating freewallet i'll take a look and see if I can figure out wtf is going on and get it fixed 🙂
-
Long time this error
-
yup.. and not many ppl effected by it, and most ppl trying to use BTC on the DEX will have shit experience and should be using dispensers anyway... I'll get to it, but other stuff is higher priority right now (XChain)

@jdogresorg does the oracle feature not work anymore? I used it to create a dispenser and set the price at $11.00 USD. When I go to the dispenser now, it shows the amount of BTC and displays $11.00 to the right of it. But due to the increase in value the amount of BTC now = $17.00.
I assumed the BTC price would fluctuate up and down to always display an amount equal to $11 - 12 June 2025 (24 messages)

Hi MT!
I don't know how long it's been since you opened a dispenser, but things have changed a bit. Here's an explainer article. https://medium.com/@subterranean/creating-a-dispenser-using-freewallet-2-0-7271d468ff8aCreating a Dispenser Using Freewallet 2.0.1If you are an artist or collector on the Counterparty platform then you are undoubtedly aware of the ongoing controversy regarding the…
-
No tx is generated from ur address?
-
Damn now the scammers pretending to be davesta🤷🏻♂️😜
-
-
-
@jdogresorg did you see my Q about oracles above? Just curious how/if it works
-
Nope
-
Thanks let me look into it
-
The Oracle functionality built into counterparty works, but it requires an operating Oracle that broadcast the price every day, and there were not enough people using the Oracle services to justify continuing to operate the Oracle…. If someone else wants to operate an Oracle and broadcast the price every day and pay the BTC fee, then you can use that Oracle with your dispenser and it will continue to operate perfectly fine….. but after many months of spending bitcoin to broadcast the price and not having any users using the Oracle dispenser service, it became a money waster, and something I was no longer comfortable operating at a loss
-
Is using a fresh new address a must?
Can we use an address we previously used for dispensers that now are closed -
An old (empty) Wallet addy would work. But with freewallet you can generate as many new addresses as you want with the same seed phrase
-
Got it. So someone would have to pay to broadcast a transaction daily for the thing to work.
-
Oh it has to be empty...I had BTC there already
-
It's odd, it does not give me any message...it just doesn't broadcast the tx
-
Yes but you must create the dispenser when selected on that 'new' address. So the form in FW must show source and dispenser address as the same address. Furthermore the asset you're selling must be in that address already.
-
Lol what's with the brown checkmark
-
Btc in an address is okay. Then I would send the asset you want to dispense to that address. Finally create the dispenser from that address (source and dispenser address must be the same)
-
Let me show you what happens...
-
Ps my phone is the worse
-
- 13 June 2025 (10 messages)
-
hmm, what version are you using and are your server settings on default?
-
-
if there is no tx being made and youre not seeing it on btc or xcp explorers then it sounds like 1. a connection issue for FW to generate the tx (try list of help above) or 2. some sort of dispenser creation error.
if the issue persists it would be best to log the details and then post the issue on the fw github. heres how to check the debug log in fw:
https://davestaxcp.gitbook.io/freewallet.io-user-manual/common-questions-using-freewallet-faq/how-do-i-use-the-debug-function-on-freewallet
and heres where to post the issue:
https://github.com/jdogresorg/freewallet-desktop/issues -
👍👍 thanks man 🔥
-
Will try later
-
of course, thanks for looking out for fakes and scammers - ill always point to the user manual and logging issues - anybody DMing you to connect wallets here in this chat (or in any other xcp chat tbh) is nefarious
-
-
-
Problem persists, it's odd, I just created a dispenser on another address and no issues
-
weird!!!! logging the debug info and posting the issue is your best bet then to try to fix it

Peace. I seem to be having issues sending BTC from an older dispenser to another Freewallet address. Also the same thing happening on rarepepewtf.io. Handling business operations for the Muurcoin and ran into this issue. Any advice?

make sure you are on the most recent version of Freewallet. latest release is 2.0.3 ... also you can always import the private key for that specific BTC address and use any btc wallet you want to (such as Electrum, a community favorite)
here is the FW releases page for the most recent version:
https://github.com/jdogresorg/freewallet-desktop/releasesReleases · jdogresorg/freewallet-desktopDesktop wallet for Win/Mac/Linux which supports Bitcoin and Counterparty - jdogresorg/freewallet-desktop

Thank you. However that’s the issue. I have an HP and I tried to download FreeWallet on my computer ever since FreeWallet desktop was created. Always had technical issues. I said something about it but thought I was being a burden because I saw your team going through the growing pains. I dealt with it by being patient and building our project out. However I have a team I pay for helping with our project Muurcoin and been low key working with and promoting all y’all do to my team. And I speak very highly of the your community.
All we ask is to help us help you by guiding us through these technical challenges, issues and opportunities through collaboration. Our transactions must work for the addresses to build our DAO.
Me and my team greatly appreciate the hard work y’all putting in. And the timely feedback. Keep up the great work. Hope to hear from someone soon. -
I been apart of counterparty for 7 going on 8 years please keep that in mind. And will continue with this platform respectfully. However integrity is always key.

what wallets are people using to take their bitcoin out from freewallet?
-
can't sign tx apparently
-
may be just import to electrum?
-
sparrow won't recognize the bip nor the pk
-
You should be able to sign a transaction in free wallet, perfectly fine… make sure you’re on the latest version of free wallet if you’re having issues with signing.
But yes, you should also be able to take your private key from any of your addresses into electrum and move your BTC that way if that is what you desire -
was on the web browser
-
Not familiar with sparrow, but private keys are universal, linked to a specific, and should work in any wallet.
-
is just that from freewallet i can't send to native SegWit
-
oh, I gotcha…. Yeah the web wallet and mobile versions haven’t been updated for a number of years and unfortunately, the current counterparty core developers made unnecessary changes a few months ago which changed the transaction format and broke signing in mobile versions of free wallet…. Desktop signing still works….. but mobile is broken for now

We finished upgrading to @CounterpartyXCP v11 🧭 Reflections on v11.0.0 and the Path Forward for Counterparty Governance Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen some intense discussion around the introduction of CBOR encoding in v11.0.0 and the subsequent v11.0.1 hotfix. This post

Not yet…. But I’m sure that change will get forced through as well without consensus.

Same…. I don’t believe moving the decimal point will do anything to bring liquidity… it’ll just make it seem like there is more supply…. More usage and utility will bring price appreciation, not decimal point / supply games😜

Is it possible that minting ("issuing") and adding a description using the mobile app might not be valid for some reason on the new xcp protocol version (since mobile was using 2018 coding schematics?)
Or maybe just a tokenscan thing? Description looks pretty standard easy asset art link to me -
If you look at the token itself and not the issuance, then you see that the token has no asset description set currently, which is why nothing shows up for the token…
They had an asset description set previously, and then they did an issuance yesterday after the issuance that you linked where they blew away the description…. As a result, the token no longer has an asset description that links to chase on file and so no related images show.
I explained this to the user directly who deemed me asking for help and explained that they simply needed to edit the asset description to point it back to the Jason on file that they had pointed it to previously and things would work again . -
-
Here is the issuance transaction that blew away the asset description….. both issuance transactions were mine and the same block, so it can be a bit confusing, but they’re processed in the order that the transactions were included in the block…. In this case, one issuance set the description, and then the very next issuance issued some supply and blew away the description.
I believe this is a case of a user doing two issuance is too quickly ….. had they done one issuance and then waited for the asset description to be updated. Then, in the next issuance, the asset description would not have changed….. however since they did both the update asset description, and a issue token supply issuance back to back the issue token supply issuance took the current description, which at the time was set to nothing….. which is why the issuance which issued supply also blew away the description set in the previous transaction rather than continuing to pass it forward.
TLDR slow down n wait for txs to settle before doing multiple issuances 😜 -
Whoops…. I replied from the wrong account 😜 …. But at least the information is good.👍🏻
-
Thanks you guys, I think I’m either retarded or something isnt working bc I just changed the description again to point it to the JSON file and it’s still not showing 🙃
-
You said that you changed the description again, but I don’t see any pending transaction or any issuance transaction since we last talked about this… are you sure that you did an issuing transaction? Can you please point me to the transaction has for the transaction because what I’m saying is no issuance is since yesterday…..
I suppose it could be an issue with free wallet and the new taproot encoding…. But I need to see some additional information in order to confirm what’s going on.
Can you please try changing the description again and when you get told that the transaction has been broadcast and should confirm shortly copy and paste that transaction has here so that we can look at the transaction and see exactly what is going on . - 29 June 2025 (6 messages)
-
Thank you. Something interesting I noticed is the first time I tried to update the description I didn’t have a transaction showing, but there was a ‘sent BTC’ transaction in my history (I didn’t perform that send). It was sent from me to me, so I wasn’t worried about it but I did think it was strange. I think somehow it was confusing it with a BTC transaction. It’s not showing anymore in the history.
Dave said he’ll help me with other questions I have on Tuesday, but thanks for everyone’s help, this is my first NFT and I have a project I’m thinking about in the future, really just wanted to know how the whole thing works from start to finish.
If anyone wants one of these send me your wallet address and I’ll gift you one. Want to see how that process works as well. -
Glad to hear you’re interested in learning more and playing around with NFTs…. Sorry that your first experience came with a couple troubles, but that’s also part of how you learn…. Feel free to continue asking engaging here anytime you have any questions or want some help👍🏻

the dispsenser closed but the asset i dont know where it went https://cp20.tokenscan.io/tx/4b5c3f8cc2f8635184c3d9ac2c50ba6b44cf197b196db0bda99a9253a0222604
-
You say that you’re trying to set up a dispenser, but what you’re showing here is an order for BTC on the DEX….. that is not a dispenser
-
i was trying to make order here
-
and then this one was closing dispenser
-
Also, when you close the dispenser, if you close the dispenser from the dispenser address, then the funds are returned to the dispenser address if you close the dispenser from the origin address then the funds are returned to the origin address….
Simply take a look at the dispenser that you closed and click on origin address and then look at your credit tab, and you will see that the funds were returned to the origin address -
sorry im jumping
-
Don’t use BTC on the DEX…. It is a pain in the ass and more than likely your order will not match with anyone, and you will just be left asking questions here rather than using dispensers, which is the whole reason dispensers were created…. To be able to set up a vending machine and sell items for BTC.
-
hehe okay
-
It’s OK please just slow down an address one issue at a time as it gets confusing jumping all over the place and posting screenshots that don’t lineup with what you say you’re doing
-
all my stuff in counterparty feels like a mess
-
haha
-
not sure what the best way to sort and manage my stuff
-
Yeah, it definitely used to be easier to organize dispensers and balances without having to move all a bunch of shit between addresses….. You’re not alone and feeling like things on counterparty are entirely messy…. Usage is at an all-time low community engagement is at an all-time low and we hear essentially nothing from the core developers…. They’re just quietly happy that they are in control of the protocol and accepting more funds from investors which lines their pockets, but doesn’t really help the counterparty community at all.
It is truly a sad state of things for counterparty -
-
It's an Attack Vector
-
It’s a good thing they fixed all the “bugs” that provided functionality that the users wanted… now they have a “bug free” system which no one really uses🤷🏻♂️ #progress 😜
-
I do find it hilarious that they tried to kill off dispensers and promised that atomic swaps would replace them and be much easier…. And yet here we are almost a year after atomic swaps are released and dispensers still far outweigh atomic swaps….
There are people paying to list items using atomic swaps, which benefits UL, since they collect two dollars every time someone tries to list an atomic swap…. But if you look at the actual amount of swaps taking place, there’s essentially none. -
